    love that most of the band is African-American and I love that. I’ve never seen one before and proves that band is very much interracial

      @@ShockzG5 or we don’t have to include race in everything. Who tf cares it’s a majority African American band. I guess you guys. What if I went to a band that’s majority white and said “this majority white band is amazing”? Oh wait it’s different when talking about white people. The best solution here is to just keep race out of this.

    As a person who plays tenor sax, i want to play that thing that the flutes play near the end with all the triplelet 16th note thingys (if you know you know)

    They did this really well, much faster temp that the original but that’s impressive since it was already quite fast!!!

    • @Arsenic_Again_Again
      @Arsenic_Again_Again 8 місяців тому +1

      Actually, it’s the same exact speed as the recording, except at 2:28, where they proceeded the regular tempo instead of slowing down.

    It would be better if
    1. the tuning between sections and the whole band was better
    (Trumpets, saxophones, and low brass)
    2. Let the melody play out around 1:27. It's better to hear moving notes(the clarinets, including bass) instead of the trombones harmony( whole notes)
    3. The molto rit. At the end, it was faster than intended, it's slowing down with force, not going faster than the tempo
    4. Trumpets were on the wrong note during 0:36 it's written as an A, but it sounds more like an F or E, and they couldn't change notes fast enough. During rehearsal, make sure that they are doing it correctly, or take time to slow down during that and then work it up back to tempo
    5. During everything, you should be able to hear your tubas, every section wasn't paying attention to that during the beginning. Even if you don't have a tuba/euphonium/baritone(I know that you do, 3) you should be listening to trombones
    Edit: incorrect information for trumpets

    Someone here or in another video of this song said the snare part is hard. I dont get whats hard about it. Its pretty easy

      Tbh it really isn’t that hard. Just sixteenths and rolls. I played the snare part as a freshman I think
