- Sick of your game, music, discord, and browser all on one source? Tired of all the tutorials telling you what plugins to install or programs to download for multiple audio sources? This is your video. Let's split those audio tracks. OBS 28 introduces Application Audio Capture (BETA) baked into the program so you can control sound as you wish without using processing power with additional bloat.

Made the jump from OBS 27 to OBS 30 recently and I've been using desktop audio for all of my audio sources since the beginning. Finally decided to take time to split all of my audio sources and it's definitely a game changer. Thanks for the video, Teach!
You are the only video in 10 minutes of researching that touches on the ALERT BOX AUDIO SPLITTING.... I do not know how everyone seems to forget how important that is, but THANK YOU FOR GOING THE EXTRA MILE
Just used this tutorial today to sort out my audio for recording. Keep up the great work you're doing E! Appreciate it
This was incredible! Great video
I just switched to OBS and this is the exact video I needed!
Well thanks, this video was perfect
Great video, super helpful
Just what I needed
This audio stuff has been driving me bonkers. So many plugins and stuff as you said everywhere else. I’d get one thing working and then break another. This video is amazing, thank you so much! Made such a difference today, my community normally is laughing at me breaking my stream, they didn’t get to (for once) redeem Nest breaks stream channel points 😂
Sorry I'm so late but this comment made me smile so hard. I'm happy I could help 😁
On macOS I use Loopback for this, haven't been able to try out the new version yet to see if this same feature also exists on Mac. But if it is that's really a game changer because audio is super hard to get right as-is, and being able to independently modify all streams makes it all much easier
Yo this is great. I'm always and I mean always struggling with audio.
Great Video!! Subbed! Question... How do i make sure i catch the party chat in warzone? It only seems to work when i have desktop enabled. I want to make sure i catch the death coms as well
just for using *that* song for the background music when you were talking about examples in audio made me get up and laugh in the other room,. that alone earned you a sub lmao🤣
🔥😭
@@StreamerSchool nah but fr tho you are dat diamond in the rough type of channel and I like those type of channels, cant wait for future uploads 😎
@@thev.i.c5028 no doubt fam. No signs of stopping anytime soon. 🙏🏿
This really helped, now do you also have a video about separating the tracks so that your spotify isn't in the VoD (For DMCA reasons).
Additionally, is there a way to bring back your desktop audio so you don't need to make a new audio for every game you play?
Like if I want my desktop audio captured, but want my Spotify separated. Again, thank you for this video, it already answered at least a few questions,
taught me some stuff and was clear cut and minimizes on fluff.
just what i was looking for, great tutorial! is there anyway so that i can hear my own alerts in OBS?
Advanced audio properties by clicking one of the gears under an audio source and changing the monitoring setting for the source you want to hear
is there anyways to make it so you still hear the alerts tho because you give OBS the control of the audio for alerts you won't hear the alerts yourself anymore
im having trouble adding my game or chrome audio to the audio mixer no matter what I do they just wont appear
and if I re enable desktop audio then discord will just play through both the dedicated discord audio and the desktop audio
none of the beta program captures appear in the audio mixer any ideas?
Thanks for the video. Is it possible to have multiple sources on different tracks on a recording? For example, Spotify on one track and Discord on another track, with the purpose of being able to mix that in post?
Yes, absolutely. You have to go into the advanced audio properties and assign each source its own track.
@@StreamerSchool Is there a video that you've made that demonstrates the steps?
i don't have the application audio bc am on mac how do i get it
Do you have to change the game audio everytime you play a new game? Or is there a way for to capture any game audio fluently between switching?
Depends. If you're using a capture card, no. If you're playing the game from your pc, yes. You'd have to change it per application.
You can set up a source for each game and it should mostly remember them
