@@CR7Flashin The Samsung is not a one company, there are different Samsung companies that make different things, and yep, as I sad Galaxy and Samsung Display are two different companies
there already is! in the expert raw app (on the galaxy store), the button next to astrophotography is a multiple exposure mode, which can create the effects you mention.
@theClifFold you can do the basic settings change but it doesn't have the feature of multiple exposure stacking. The astro mode is not only for celestial search it does stacking and do very long exposure.
Haha thanks so much! This is actually my 4th video project with Samsung! I also shared some long exposure seascapes, timelapse and cityscape tutorials.
First off thanks for bringing this to the galaxy line, I was tired of using modified gcam versions that always crashed. A couple of things could get better, I wish on the astro mode the stars would be made more visible somehow to help with the composition. I did a 4min exp that was decent but the 10 min one got me a mostly black image with a few stars, I wonder if there's a bug in the code. Accurate exif data would be nice since all pictures shot are labelled as 10s exposures. A darker UI would also help in pitch black environments
I think your problem may be because of stars moving. Every object in space moves as the planet so on 4min you can take a good picture but on 10min you will see its more blured cause of the stars moving. Maybe you see less stars because they got so much motion blur that they appear invisible
@@AcaYT This is indeed possible. It can also be fixed with a tripod that has a auto head that will move at the same rate that the earth spins to match the exposure to eliminate that star motion blur on very long exposures.
It's outstanding please add this to the s21 series too please most of the s21 series users who use the expert raw app like me love the new high exposure and the Astrophotography mode so please please add this feature to the s21 series 😭😭😭😭😭
I'm a s21 ultra user too, and I can say that our device could be limited by his hardware. The strange thing is that one of my friends has the s22 ultra but in expert raw the astro function does not appear
@@davidelomonaco7358 Yeah I just saw the small print in the video when he's showing that feature. Your friend needs to update to the new One UI 5.0. I have One UI 4.2 on my phone and I'm currently trying to update it to match. Once I do that I should have access to the Astro function and so should your friend.
it is available on the S22 as long as you have the latest operating system update. The app isn't the normal camera app, it is the Expert Raw app in the samsung app store
I love this feature. Sooo much. Thank you Samsung! 🥰 btw i want to check the constellaions the expert raw app is close! I hope to i will get an upgrade soon🙏 the S22ultra is the phone of the year (for me)! 😊😍💪
Ok you took the photo with the Expert Raw app, and then did WHAT to get the Milky Way? I gave it a shot last night and although I did get many stars in my picture, I had to zoom in to see them and the Milky Way didn't appear at all. I edited the cropped image in Snapseed.
Hi Samsung and everyone. I also have an S22ultra, but I have a little problem with the camera app. I can see in this video that in the middle the EV shows how bright the exposure we created is according to the camera. (-0.3 -0.7 -1.0) My phone, however, does not show it and so it is very difficult to adjust the exposure at night, because I have to take a lot of pictures and in the meantime make sure the picture is good. At a shutter speed of 30s, I don't like to try to see if the brightness of the image is good for the 6th attempt. This problem also occurs with the camera and the expert raw application. But what I don't understand is that the phone runs on the latest software (android 13) and the apps are also updated, and EV works on a phone with the same software (s20fe). Then why not ultra? Even on my old s9+ phone, EV works on android 10 and I used it all the time and now I bought the top model and because of such a small thing it is much more difficult to use it at night. And why is it good that the focus's infinity state is 8-8.2 on a scale of 0-10?😆 If you know a solution to my EV problem, I'd be happy to accept any help. The phone with the problem (s22 ultra (exynos) 512gb, android 13, one ui 5.0, with security update 12.01.2022.) (Fold 4 256gb, android 12, one ui 4.1.1, with security update 06.01.2022) The fold it's still new to us, so it hasn't been updated yet. I wrote the text with a translator, sorry for the mistakes.
I have a standard Exynos S22 latest update and EV works in Expert RAW 2.0.04.1 from -2.0 to 2.0 in 0.1 steps. Try latest app version, try going into settings / apps / expert raw => force stop, memory: clean cache + data to initializere app data. Restart phone. Maybe this helps. Deinstalling and reinstalling Expert RAW does the same
@@stefw0200 thanks for the help but the problem is still there. I did everything you wrote but the EV doesn't work. The version number is the same as what you wrote, 2.0.04.1
To samsung when you will drop features from flagship to midrange such like a series, what i mean is features camera like director's view, portrait mode video come to galaxy a series just waiting come to a series
Directors view doesnt make any sense on an A series device, you just have 3 cameras that make sense to see at the same time. No one would use this to see what the makro camera shows right now and when to switch, thats why its not on any A device...
Remember, its not samsung "Galaxy" if it doesnt have astrophotgraphy mode (most of latest samsung phone does have this mode,if im not wrong)...ironically
I do not believe that phone has the hardware capability unfortunately. However, if you have a tripod, set the exposure for as long as it will allow, and set your ISO as high as it will go, in an extremely dark place, on a clear night, you should be able to get something.
That's why I love Samsung from my childhood.....it's just exceptionally incredible....❤❤
