I've watched a few of your videos. As someone has severe OCD when it comes to purchasing anything, your videos have me 🤯. I've been using my igloo for 10yrs but I've been needing to upgrade and that's taking me 2yrs to decide 🤦. We live in AZ, party of 8, and we do lake days A LOT... Very informative. Thank you
Awesome review man, I have had my orca 20 for years now and I work concrete construction and the only problem I have is all my buddies love it so much they have to open all the time to get there Gatorades and that's the only reason my ice don't last more than 4 or 5 days, but I will buy another one before a yeti
This guy rules. You rule dude. Keep doing what you’re doing. There is something fascinating about coolers. I can’t explain it. But I keep buying them and doing tests and talking about them. May do a channel someday myself. There is just something so fun about it.
Brumate!!! Let's goooo!! Haha!! I can't say enough about brumate products, I love them. I have all the brumate coolers, and I do love them, but the smaller 35qt suffers from the handle being mounted to low, and it drags some. It doesn't bother me much but it needs to be noted for people.
Awesome video and reviews!! Thanks I bought the oyster tempo cooler after watching your other video and let me tell you I absolutely love it!! It puts my yeti and orca coolers to shame!! Oyster tempo cooler is huge game changer in the cooler game!! Thanks again appreciate it!! Oyster cooler all the way!!!!
I like you video, especially showing me a brumate. I’m going to try really hard to get a brumate cooler tomorrow. The only store I can find that has them in stock, near me is almost 2hrs away north. We drive from Maryland to South Fl Fri and I don’t see a faster shipping way to get here b4 we leave. I’ll try to search if there’s a store in Florida but even Dick’s sells them on line, but it can’t be shipped to their store lol. If they’d let me do that I’d get it when I get there lol.
Your videos are great, they're informative and helpful and I enjoyed using them as part of my shopping research. Keep it up! As an aside, why is a bottle opener so popular? Glass isn't even allowed in most places I would take a cooler, I just don't get it. For people who really like glass bottles, might I suggest drinking better beer.
id like to see what you think of orcas soft coolers. they dont have a zipper, they use latches and still claim to be leakproof. love your videos, bro. edit: orcas wanderer series dont have a zipper
I jut got the larger coho from Costco. Couldn’t find a review from you on it but it has similarities to its smaller sibling and is bear resistant. I’m excited to give it a whirl. Thanks for these reviews!
There are definitely a few Cohos I haven't tried yet. I have the 55 qt rotomolded that was in the first ice challenge video I did. But if there's a new bigger injection molded one, then I don't have one yet.
Why is the Cabelas not top 3 in your first category? It was in the top 2 in both your tests and is cheaper than all 3 of the options you did select. It's built like a tank, is bear resistant, and has built in handles.
Indeed it's a tank and great on ice, but it scored lower in other areas like quality (lots of reports of defects), warranty and customer service, and I don't love some of the design features like the latches and handles. It's right up there near the top anyway, but with 65+ coolers, I had to cut some.
Is there anything similar size and quality to the yeti roady 24 that's wheeled? I have an igloo 30 wheeled, but the ice doesn't even make it halfway through the day. I work outside and need to walk a distance so the wheels help a ton
Indeed it was great at ice retention, but I didn't rate it as highly in other aspects (quality, warranty, etc.). It only has a one year warranty, for example, and I've read several reviews of people getting defective or warped coolers and having issues. The fit and finish is also not as nice as some others. Mine has been fine, but I tried to figure all that in to my analysis.
I think you're right. I've been meaning to do that, just haven't worked out the details yet. It will involve our email newsletter subscribers so you might want to sign up if you haven't already. Cheers!
Correct! I was surprised myself when I finally sorted that out. The YETI Roadie is NOT rotomolded like the YETI Tundras are. The Roadie is injection molded. If you look closely at the marketing you'll notice YETI conveniently leaves that detail out.
I live in Charleston sc and am looking for a nice cooler for the truck bed that I don’t have to put ice in all the time. Working construction so need a good size for drinks and stuff. Any suggestions What’s the weather like where you test these?nvm about the weather you explained that pretty well. A lot hotter and humid down where I am hahaha 😂
Ya you're definitely hotter and more humid than where I am. For a truck bed, I'd look at one of those injection molded options. That plastic tends to hold up a little better in the heat and direct sunlight. Something like that RTIC Ultralight (without wheels is better for ice) or there's a new Engel Ultralight that's pretty good. Or for a cheaper option, a Coleman 316 series (Marine if you can find one).

It makes my heart happy every time I see that this guy has posted another cooler video. Keep doing what you love good sir
My relationship with coolers is often a cold one, but it still gives me chills when I go to make another video. 😏
@@theoutdoorempiredad joke 😂
Dude I love how you get straight to point with the different categories depending on your needs.

Right on!

Glad to hear it and thanks for the compliment! I was surprised to tap into such a passionate community of cooler enthusiasts.
Fellow Idahoan here great video
Hello there!
Definitely an under appreciated you tuber.. keep on keeping on outdoor empire!!! Look forward to the next one
I appreciate that!

Thanks for sharing!!
Your videos are helping to make my cooler-buying decision a lot easier. Can't wait to go on our next adventures with a new cooler.
Great to hear! Have a good time getting out.
I have to say I am very impressed with my Maluna cooler, the lifetime warranty is a big plus, but I can't see ever needing to use it.
A thumbs up for the Neature Walk reference alone.
The best!
Another great cooler review. I love coolers, but I don’t have 60 of them!!😂
Really enjoy your content…Cheers!
Thanks! 👍 And outside of trying to do good cooler reviews, I don't see a reason why someone should own so many different coolers.

I would love to see a video about the best cooler for Hurricane proned areas. Specifically for ice retention when dealing with no electricity.
I have another video titled Best Hard Cooler 2024 that might be helpful to you. I tested the ice retention of 38 different coolers.
Love your content. Keep it up. I love the orca coolers.
Thanks! Will do!

Very cool video. Thanks for the info!
Glad you liked it!
Coolers are nice, but I’d like to see more of the truck in the thumbnail! 😋
Nice, right?! It belongs to a friend and it's a beauty.
Cant wait for the oyster to hopefully drop in price that is so cool!
I'm not sure I'd count on that, seems a little bougie to me.

They do look interesting. I haven't tried one yet but will add it to the wishlist. Thanks for the suggestion!
can you do a review on the brumate MagPack 24. Also enjoy watching your reviews your honest and to the point!
I very much appreciate that, thank you! I'll see what I can do about a BruMate MagPack 24. Cheers.
I jut got the larger coho from Costco. Couldn’t find a review from you on it but it has similarities to its smaller sibling and is bear resistant. I’m excited to give it a whirl. Thanks for these reviews!

How have you STILL not added a Siberian Alpha to this test?!?! We've talked about this for like 2 years
Yes, I looked into it, but it's a spendy one and I had already used up my budget last summer. Maybe this year?!
Can you throw in a Calcutta cooler for the next one? I love mine
Noted thanks.
Orions warranty is now five years . They only offered 10 for the ones prior to 2023. I went to their website and read the small print. Lol
Super disappointing.

Good question, not that I know of in that size. I'll keep an eye out.
Yeti roadie 32! New cooler.
why not the Cabelas Polar Cap 60 quart? it was a top 2 finisher

Have you tested the Stanley Adventure Leakproof Outdoor 50 QT Cooler ??
Not yet, but noted.
Can you do a comparison for large party coolers like the igloo party bar.
Interesting idea, I'll look into it. Thanks!
I may be way out in left field here, but isn't it time for a cooler giveaway? I mean, 60+ coolers? Surely you can spare one or two on a giveaway. 😆
I think you're right. I've been meaning to do that, just haven't worked out the details yet. It will involve our email newsletter subscribers so you might want to sign up if you haven't already. Cheers!
I like Orca but the wheeled cooler looks odd. Maluna offers a mil discount but I need wheels!
Check out the Brutank or maybe the Orion with their wheel kit addon. I haven't used it yet, but looks cool.
Can you test the rugged road 65?
How do u know the coolers u got for free arent rigged? They probably made a special one just for ur tests. Should compare with off the shelf.
CaterGator?
i checked coho cooler any stores online. they don’t have a small cooler.
16:16, is the Yeti Roadie NOT rotomolded?
i believe thats what he said. Was really surprised to hear that

why wasnt the blue coolers in this video?
Blue was in my 38 cooler ice challenge, but didn't quite make it to the Top 10 overall.
Can you test a chilly moose cooler?
Added to the list, thanks.
Is that brumate the denim color?
Yes

Yes! Great coolers.
I really want that oyster cooler, but I'm latino
