Reality tv at its best bloody SA weather, Blue Devil is A SA icon fish guys, love the video great job considering the conditions and the room on the boat 👍
Thanks Iain glad you enjoyed. Mother nature was not so kind on this trip. It was an awesome trip though considering, check out part 2 - we did some more exciting stuff👌
that was a juvenile blue groper, he was at the age where he was starting to turn blue, the juveniles are all olive green and along that coast there are absolutely heaps of them there, for some reason you dont catch many of then fishing as i think their diet might be more weed based but if you ever go diving there the water is full of the small olive green ones
Hey Chris, Wow that’s awesome. I’ve watched it back and can tell it’s a groper. Thanks for letting me know and hope you enjoyed watching our adventure.
@@strayfromreality its not a groper, its a female brown spotted wrasse (Notolabrus parilus) they are related as groper are wrasse but the mouth is all wrong and the coloration is all wrong for it to be a groper, the light brown chin and the dots all over the fish are also strong identification features for a female brown spotted wrasse
Mate the world is our oyster and how good was that curry😘 can't wait to see where we head next in BIG suzi. Thanks again skipper Lewis 💞 Love you guys to bits
Those blue devils live for over 60 years and can mate for life. Always best to put them back where they came from :)
Just rewatched amazing Vid of Kangaroo Island! Looking forward to a Junta Vid. Definitely bigger Squid in KI.. 😊

Yes we googled it the night we caught the blue devil. We definitely released it in healthy condition as a fish that beautiful needs to live.
That blue fish you had there was a blue devil
There amazing eating with soft meat and very little bones
We were so surprised when he came up, such a beautiful fish. Do you know how big they get?
Too beautiful to eat. He got put back in good condition
@@strayfromreality not to big. The max they can get is around the 35-40 mark
