Thanks. I lived in Brooklyn, and rode everywhere.( I raced for Kissena.) that was loong ago. Now? I am 60, a stroke survivor, ( lived!) I loved this ride. I miss it so much. Scheming to get a fixie( my left is paralyzed.) I must learn to do this again.❤
4:30 "It looks so cool when you catch it from a distance. A little less cool when you stuck inside your Civic" 😁 7:55 Brah, this is what I call *Edutainment* . Was always curious wtf with those steam pipes in US cities. Now I know. To live another day, to learn a thing or two 😄. Such uploads (way back at the beginnings of the channel or before pandemics) were and are something, for what I'm always thankful for, and always craving for. Thank you Mr T!!!♥️
Terry, I traveled to NYC last month and your videos were honestly super helpful with orienting myself around the city and just general approaches to cycling there. I'm definitely jealous so many get to ride bikes in the city every day. Keep up the good work, homie!
Chicago has a cooling loop. No district heating via steam. Over 100 buildings are cooled by ice that is generated overnight and pumped during the day. Today I learned! Hello from Chicago, 10/10 video.
It's been a while since I've biked in the city in the morning. My current schedule has me starting at 10~11 am. It's enjoyable, but not the same as much earlier. You have more road to yourself. Miss it.
Indianapolis has a central steam heat system as well! At least for the core "old" part of the city. It's fun to ride through where it comes up through manhole covers. The Indianapolis steam also has a "familiar" smell that's not bad, but recognisable 🙃
Good length, narrative, music, path. That bus appeared out of nowhere; yet, in Russia, where I live, traffic situations are far more unpredictable, and drivers are less friendly to cyclists.
I have been trying to record my self ridding my bike but my video quality is coming out so shaky. What camera and camera settings r u use id love to knowb
Do you like bridges too? ua-cam.com/video/TTTo3F2nBrY/v-deo.html

More to come!
Flying to JFK tomorrow, taking my bike. Looking forward to biking in the city!
I went through boot camp at Naval Station Great Lakes in the winter and marching through a steam cloud was like an oasis in the cold.

The steam carries neutralizing amines-corrosion-inhibiting chemicals-that are added to boiler feedwater to prevent pipe corrosion.
That is very interesting!
My fav has always been the Williamsburg bridge
The commentary on this one was entertaining as shit🗣️🗣️

Hello from France. Love the NY bridges. Lot of souvenir.

Interesting, I didn't know that!
Nice video cool footage good commentary... liked. Were you riding a fixed gear with brakes?

Glad you like them!

I need to ride this bridge. The Brooklyn was easy but I really struggled on the Manhattan bridge from Brooklyn. I had to stop and walk my bike.
I freakin love bridges. This makes me miss my days in Philly
Loving all these Steam Facts
I love a good steamy bridge
Keepin’ it steamy ❤
One of the best this year

Starting off in Greenpoint. Gotta hit up Peter Pan Donuts
No time
Oh you're from greenpoint, sweet. im a Gp native. been here my whole life
love the fucking moped on the queensboro as you explain how sketchy it is
Seattle’s still got some steam! Seattle Steam Co.
And hey, what bars are those?
Sim works
How are you able to go that fast!? What gear set up do you have on your bike?
LOL hate Queenboro the bike lane + the initial entry is steep af lol
At least the queensboro doesn’t have the construction fences that block one whole lane (like the williamsburg)
Seattle has steam heating as well. Seattle Steam Company heats our downtown office buildings and hospitals.
Terry, can you please tell me what's the handlebar name/brand ? I really like it and seems what I am looking for :)
Passchier bamboo handlebar, I believe. Reoccurring question, that's why I know :p
Sim works
Music is so sick, possibly on life support. Been through his playlists on his channel but couldn’t find this track. Is it one Joe gave you for this?
Yeah Joe gave me a few tracks. They all work so well
