I love that you still go in the tree house. I feel like treehouses are often abandoned after children grow up as if they can no longer be fun anymore. And they often fall into disrepair. Its like the pleasure and and memories of playing there are left behind in childhood. It made me smile to see you still using it.
There's something so cosy and whimsical about this video. Also, I'm not sure if it was intentional, but your way with words is very much like listening to a well-written novel being read out loud. I love everything about his video! I feel so relaxed after watching, and realise that I really do need to slow down more often and appreciate the little things. Thank you for making this 🙂

I'm a silent follower ruby and I've been watching your videos for years and I love you I love your content and all that you do. I had to comment because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the concept of this video. Your writing, your narration, filming style and aesthetics. I loved all of this. Keep doing what you love and experimenting. We love to see it. Sending love and starshine your way. Also Ruby you are stronger than me because I would've brought that birdfeeder letterbox thing. I wouldn't have thought about it twice because if I hadn't had brought it it would haunt me in my dreams and I couldn't be able to get it out of my head.
Your best video ever in my opinion, it felt so comfy, and fun, felt like i was watching an audiobook of a whimsical novel come to life, and loved every bit of it, please do more in this style, your writing is gorgeous.
With the comments I’m reading, saying they are worried about the way you act, really proves that you did a wonderful job portraying that strangeness and nonsense kind of absurd style (and also that they didn’t watch the last part of the video lmao) and honestly i love it !! I also like to read nonsense things and would absolutely love if you do more of these vids in the future :-) have a nice day ! 🩷
I am having a tough day today and this is just what I needed. It's beautiful and wholesome, and it makes me feel more at ease and equally more emotional. I haven't cried in a while although I like doing it. Thank you, Ruby, for helping me relax and shed some grateful tears. 🌻
Hi Ruby, as a silent follower, i'd say it's obviously weird but beautiful and i am so in love with it, the way you film, the narration and stuffs just so whimsical! hope to see more like this x
I'm a bit surprised to hear you call your current novel in progress as your debut novel! I know people are often not super proud of the creative works they put out when they were much younger and it might be the case for you and your self-published novella, but I got the sense that you were still regarding the book fondly. I think it was during your gap year that you mentioned that book again in one of your videos, about how the whole writing process was done within a week or so with a stroke of inspiration and such, and you spoke with such affection. I wonder if your agent or someone you are in contact with regarding getting your book traditionally published advised you not to draw too much attention to your self-published book?
Your poem is so beautiful! The imagery and sensory detail had me replaying it at least 3 times, I thereafter lost count. As an English teacher myself, I truly appreciated it, please share more of your poetry Miss Granger!
This video is a piece of poetry to me. Meal in the bushes, climbing in a long windy skirt, just every detail. Yes, it is not connected like lines of poetry don't have to be connected. They just leave a trace, a feeling while you can't even define the means used to make you feel this way
Hey Ruby😊 This new format is absolutely lovely 🤩 I noticed that you used a different kind of background music as well. Keep experimenting and explore new formats. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful day with us . Its relaxing and refreshing 😊
I thought it was a very nice video. The little things, feeling connected to nature. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing, I live in the Netherlands but the countryside of England is where my heart is. Wonderful to be there through your channel
We were today years old when we learnt Ruby can write absurd things and Oh my God I wasn’t expecting that 😂 Totally weird, it feels like you can write a script like Poor Things ❤ I love it.
Ruby the birds are so beautiful in the intro! 🥹 so glad you didn’t put music over them. Overall loved the style of this video it is probably one of my favorites that you’ve ever posted.
Wonderful sweet funny calming inspiring video. Thank you for sharing this creative whimsical day with us.

This kind of nonsense video as you called it was actually really nice and enjoyable. ❤😊 It made a lot of sense in many ways, especially when it’s so hard at times to deal with so much heavy stuff going on in the world and my life. I appreciate this nice break to see how you enjoyed the actual little things in a day that make up for happy moments. 😊❤
Rubyinski, you are too good for any of us! We are not worthy. You made me laugh in this one. Glad you're keeping on with your novel, that's important. I reread my novel (on amazon) a year ago and found about 14 typos. Fixed, uploaded. I'm rereading again a year later (now) and have found 10 more! Dammit. Makes me glad nobody has read it! It will be very very clean when I upload the new edits in May. It never ends. ;-)
My Great Grandma would cook carrots over the stove top and add butter and brown sugar. One of my many favorite memories I have of her Wednesday night dinners.
The comments expressing concern are missing the point of this video…it’s meant to be gently humorous and absurd, in the style of writers like Lewis Carroll and Neil Gaiman.
I have seen your comment history on this channel, there are more than 100 comments you have post, and you always comment something unpleasant. I know that you are subscribed to Ruby's channel, I know this, because you rush to respond as soon as she uploads a video, in the hope that she sees your comment, I know you must be a middle aged man, probably in your forties, I know it from the stupid videos you have posted on your channel, where you pretend to be a "rockstar" (lol btw) wich are over 16 years old..I know you must have a lonely life, I know you are a looser, I know you are in love with Ruby.. you are like a little boy bothering the girl he likes, hoping to have her attention.. I know you think that a negative comment in a sea of positive comments will stand out more; that's why you do it, because you want to stand out... You want Ruby's attention, no matter what. I know you dont have a stable job; its obvious because of the way you rush to comment, the secobd Ruby uploads a new video. Soneone with responsabilities or a life of their own wouldn't have time to do what you do... 100+ comments?? Really? Lol. I know you'll continue to leave nasty comments, anxiously waiting to get Ruby's attention.. I know you'll respond to this comment with a "lol" or "hahaha" trying to make me think that nothing of what I have said is true, but above all, I know that, with each of the unpleasant comments you have posted on this channel, you have managed to get more people to watch Ruby's content, in your stupidity, you have benefited Ruby, because the algorithm does not distinguishes a stupid person from a nice person, I bet that in the next video that Ruby uploads you will rush to comment on your usual stupid things, to be one of the first comments, and have a small hope that Ruby will see it. I know that when you saw that you had a response notification to your retarded comment, for a brief moment you hoped that it was Ruby who responded to you, or I'm wrong? You stupid? Lol stupidity is so predictivle.
Did you finish "Crime and punishment"? I remember you started reading it in a previous Oxford blog Edit: it's also raining here today, in fact, the forecast announced it's going to rain for 3 o more consecutive days 💙☔
I too picked it up that same day, coincidentally. And I am sure she did, because the videos after it had other books she'd been upto. Hope it's lovely where you live🌷✨
I love oatmeal and lemons but not together and to watch a young woman play in the rain with birds and books reminds me of my younger years - joy. Thanks for producing and sharing this.
I love this channel, but I'm curious. Why is everything metal in the garden allowed to rust, and all the wood to go unpainted and get covered with lichen and what all?
@Computra that's her families choice of a simple lifestyle, things don't have to be perfect. There are gardeners all over the globe that take similar approaches & yes, even here in U.S.
I look forward to your visits. Today’s video was especially poignant, being different from your customary design-but it was a lovely diversion! I wish I had a copy of the poem so I looked on your web page hoping it was posted there 🙁 but may be you will. You brought back childhood memories eating a cucumber sandwich; aren’t they just the best? I don’t know why I’ve fallen out of the habit of making them. Thank you, Ruby, for sharing your life with all of us! I know you love Emily Dickinson and so do I. This poem reminds me of your video: A Drop fell on the Apple Tree - Another - on the Roof - A Half a Dozen kissed the Eaves - And made the Gables laugh - A few went out to help the Brook That went to help the Sea - Myself Conjectured were they Pearls - What Necklaces could be - The Dust replaced, in Hoisted Roads - The Birds jocoser sung - The Sunshine threw his Hat away - The Bushes - spangles flung - The Breezes brought dejected Lutes - And bathed them in the Glee - The Orient showed a single Flag, And signed the fête away -
Processed oats are bad, but steel cut Irish oatmeal is good for you. It’s naturally sweet and unprocessed, but if you have a sweet tooth add maple syrup or stevia or fresh fruit.
Such a lovely portrait of the English countryside! I feel like I've been there! Also, do you have any tips for working on a piece of fiction long-term like you are doing with your novel? My true passion is reading but it seems like a waste to leave the story I am writing for my creative writing class at just 20-30 pages. I'm presenting it in short story format for the class, but the plot is material for a much longer piece. How do you stick with the same idea and keep working at it even when you're in so deep that it's hard to view it objectively?
I find the pretentious endless switching from your "I'm reading poetry" to "normal" intonation so funny when you are just talking about random things 😂

Honestly, this means so much! It was a different style so I wasn’t sure if people would like it but I really enjoyed making it!
I love the nonsense style! I feel like it is a sort of an easthetic in itself, tea cups, birds and your blue shoes at the end go perfectly together!
I absolutely love this style of video. It was so whimsical and fairytale-like. I aspire to include this kind of “absurdity” in my life 🩵
agree 100%

And then a tea party under a treehouse. And poetry. Dodgson would have been proud.
I felt the Alice in Wonderland vibes, moreorless from the start of the video, particularly using the cup for porridge ❤
I think this is what Ruby was going for in this video
