Get yourself a Tactacam I-Fish put a weaver mount on shaft an a scope mount that fits the diameter of the round Tactacam I-Fish! I have used them for 4 yrs an works awesome! It’s a lot smaller but has as good or better video than GoPro I have both!
One piece of advice is when you spear the pike, let the spear pin them to the ground and just let them sit for a bit. They will try to breathe and will actually suck up sand in their gills causing them to suffocate and kinda die down a bit. You won’t lose as many fish that way 👍
The fish you hit with two tines in the skull that then somehow got off is just bizzare. Never seen anything like that in 50 years. However: Is it a SoDak thing to spear one, then just let it sit for a while? I was raised to ALWAYS keep the rope tight. Hit the fish, pull in the slack, pull up the fish. 1-2-3. Not judging, just curious. I haven't speared for quite a while, so I rely on videos like yours to keep me in the loop. Thanks! And keep 'em coming!
Love the videos but this is getting out of hand. Idk how many times I gotta ask for some meat before I get fed. I will stop being polite if I continued to be ignored #iamhungry
yeah cameras on the spear is a bad idea, unless your spearing like 4ft of water lol.
Agreed
You can definitely feed heitzman with that big pike! Awesome video,
Loved the drone and go pro footage. Awesome spearing angle,

You should get a gaf too to hook the pike under the jaw before they come off.
Get ya a Belle River Spear! They hold fish incredibly well.

Heitzman is salivating

Ditch camera on spear before fish and game starts fining cruelty to game. You made the right decision
Go Pro footage does nothing for me. Suspend that Go Pro under the ice somehow I love seeing the approach
Dam nice fish btw
Good vid
Thanks!

Your spear is dishing from your go pro.
Do you eat them ?
Yes, Northern are great eating. We fry some and pickle some.
Why doesn't South Dakota have more lakes open to spearing
It depends on where a guy goes. There are a lot of lakes closed due to Muskie spawning efforts in fisheries.
@@highplainshunting3002 we have muskies here too and most of ours are open to spearing
what was the length on that pike at 8:42?
That one was around 36 inches
No measurements, no weights, no footage after the big ones get drug out of the whole.....c’’mon man!!!
Haha yeah kind of forgot to include that, he wasn’t as huge as I thought, I’d say roughly 36”
