Welcome to Master Duel Arena! In each episode, duelists will draft decks using Hearthstone's Arena draft format! Three cards of equal rarity appear, but only one may be chosen! Once decks are built, duelists will play a best two-out-of-three match to see who will reign supreme in Master Duel Arena!

@@ClanFtf that's the crazy part to me. He didn't really acknowledge it either. He was luckily tytannial came up because he would've had no good targets for lonefire besides bitanical lion.
like he said.. this is the first time ever drafting so it make sense that he doesnt have any plan-t (*pun not intended*) for the deck like cimo and solely picking the best from the 3 card he see

Respects to Paul for making those greedy plays and noticing that his deck isn't consistent enough to warrant safe plays. Playing competitive YGO really train players to play it safe as much as possible to avoid getting blown out, but often times, in these lower power formats where your deck might be really bad, calling bluffs and making risky plays is your only chance at winning, especially when your deck is nowhere near as good as your opponent's.
I live for the rare Cimo and Team APS collab! Please have Paul on again! I love hearing the two of you talk about the game together.

Keep making these, I’ve been loving this series, I would like to see another all cards draft that was chaotic, and incredibly entertaining.
These were some pretty fun games. I definitely think I like the new Edison card pool.
I like that Cimoooo actually shows the draft as compares to other channels that show maybe 3 mins from it.

I mean I’m assuming you’re referring to headtohead battles but they at least do a deck profile and it keeps people from criticizing most of their draft decisions (which I’ve already seen in the comments for this vid)

I’m between Caius and Shapesnatch here, Caius seems to be the pick because it vanishes on summon, but Shapesnatch has a higher defense and it has synergy with machines if we pull chimeritech. I think I’m just gonna go with the Caius though
Idk why I didn't realize it sooner considering I've done the Edison draft countless times, but gladiator beast essedarii technically shouldn't be in a true Edison pool considering it was released in Extreme Victory.
I realized the same thing today because i have never heard of it until this series. Although, I am fine with it staying because it makes glad more interesting

the more recent the format is, the more reliant on archetypes it is and this doesn't make great draft decks. Draft is good for good stuff or 3 cards maximum combo

I haven't seen the duels yet but much respect to Paul for taking a chance and pulling a bit of the Glad Beast strategy. I'm sad that he never went for quick draw synchron though. It would have helped to get some of the Synchron Warrior monsters online. Nobody ever goes for it and it baffles me.

Yup. Also, when he did eventually draw lonefire, he should have set the bot lion, then flip it, THEN commit to the lonefire play at that last turn. Prob wouldn't change much but protected Tytannial against a dude who you know doesn't play mirror/torr is very strong.
He probably was nervous to draw Tytannial during these two turns.

Why did the Reaper not get popped by the Book of Moon?
It gets set so its effect never gets to activate. That’s the plain version of it.
@@delxdel but it only gets set on resolution, meanwhile reaper should be a trigger that goes on the stack when it is targeted and destroyed before book resolves I would've thought?

@@TheVP_SSBUI’m pretty sure spirit reaper starts a new chain so the chain in which the spell is played resolves first then spirit reaper starts a new one
Facedown cards can't use effects. Reaper only uses it's effect on resolution but since it's facedown by that point the effect doesn't register. It's kinda like how if you flip a negated Zarc facedown it's effect to destroy all monsters works because facedown cards can't be negated.
Team APS and especially Paul is so chill. I really enjoyed this video. I hope Cimo never invates that annoying loud guy for these videos...

Paul not protecting his monster with book in game 1 is a misplay. doesn't make sense to book the reaper when he could've booked the other monster to protect his and still not have reaper trigger
I don't know if it's possible to do in masterduel but I like playing by Edison format rules/rulings. Like goyo being generic etc.
I usually do the draft then play on duelingbook with randoms tho.
Im 100% sure that Essedari shouldnt be in Edison draft, because it came way after that format
if you like old school yugioh, i do cpu vs cpu tournaments on my channel which base most characters on anime but take characters from manga, video games and movies.

Cimo, please try to play Glads, Zombies, Plants, Lightsworn, Blackwings, etc., instead of Dark control. You always default to good stuff/Chaos, and it would be nice to see a change of pace. A episode of you attempting to high roll may also increase viewer interest.

Why did Paul draft Instant Fusion again??? He didn't even use it at all
There was no point in using it because the monster he would summon off it wouldn’t be able to attack and he didn’t have a tuner to make a synchro monster so monster would be summoned and destroy at the end of the turn.
Does Book of Moon target? Would that not destroy Spirit Reaper because of its effect?
Reaper checks for destruction at resolution since it is face down at resolution reaper cannot use its effect to destroy itself.

Watching this draft just confirmed why I stopped watching Team APS years ago.
Cimo please just go back to school and re learn how to actually read the names of cards, and also learn some manners because your behaviour as of late is quite bad manners.
