Excellent setup for any level. Very low risk move. If you're too forceful with the hip bump, you wil end up on top and if not, you can go back to closed guard and start again.
It's similar, but there are some details here that feel more complete. I specifically like how he uses the grip on his shin to push and stretch your opponent away from their hips.
I struggle with this so bad. Getting up on my elbow to fake the hip bump sweep is so hard for me to do. I don’t even try for triangles in suck so bad it.
I don't understand why letting go of the lapel before doing the figure four. I think that if you leave your hand there and figure 4 to either side you'll still get a quick tap, no? The leg squeezes the hand on the neck.
@ooga ooga I know that , I just meant the amount of detail. Basically pull him down by the collar. You don't have time for all that detail with a quick collar grip/grab as a good guy will immediately try strip the grip. Or he should.
@ooga ooga I get it , train myself to. Was just pointing it out. Most technique when being thought will say , take a left side collar grip, ..next . Just an observation
"heres one of my brown belt coaches here at my gym, hes sooooo good one of the best ive met hes a brown belt but black belt level........ buuuuut we aint giving him his blackbelt"
Nice technique, but I have to disagree with you about the collar grip. Maybe if you have small hands it’s better to grab less material, but someone like me with very big hands, it’s much more comfortable and controlling to grab a big wad of gi with the collar. Plus it tightens everything around the grip a little more. Takes slack out better.
Kinda funny how this triangle choke takes about 10 highly telegraphed moves. I choke guys out all the time with a triangle choke that is locked up tight in one fluid motion, no telegraph at all. A bit like Nate Diaz does his triangles. I don't even need to cross my legs over the back. Just saying, it's inefficient.

Very clear, detailed breakdown, a great technique video. More outlines by him too please
Always an honor to see you too, Bernardo. 🙏

Thank you so much
That is next level explanation. Detailed and simple at the same time.
Great clear details and step by step breakdown
Brilliant detail
Great details, thanks!
For me, using the foot in the hip to push away is everything. This is the reason why I could never fully lock my triangle in properly. Great video👍
Really good, clear video here. Will look forward to creating this tomorrow
excellent job gian!
Thank you for the technique! Great set up!
Awesome Giancarlo ! Thanks Bernardo ! Oss!
Very good tips, especially about how to grip the collar!
Awesome details and great setup
Good technique and mechanics
Collar Choke to "Deja Vu "Triangle choke , Big God Damn Deal !
my old coach John Combs showed us this a while back it looked difficult at first but I’ve been hitting it a few times recently good stuff oss
Boa Giarcarlinho MB! Great technique
Thank you!!
Excellent
Beautiful!
Nicely done
Awesome triangle details guys. Really like the grip to focus on the lapel itself and not just grab a handful of cloth 🙃
@ooga ooga clearly right. Ooga oogA
Good morning Bernardo!
Nice explanation!
love this
bmac from 10th planet has a similar technique for no gi - awesome setup!
this guy is great !
Awesomeness
where’s our danaher impression bernardo?
When the vid is 25 mins long we will know
Brilliant
Muito bom! Oss !
Huge honor for me!
Oh, that fake hip bump to triangle is great!
Would this still work in No Gi?
Ice
cool
This seems exactly like Ryan Hall's Hip Bump Triangle.
It's close. Ryan Hall shows it with a collar tie, and Giancarlo's doing a cross-collar grip.
@@Razenghan well yeah, because Ryan does it in nogi
@@Razenghan Ryan shows a variation with the cross collar grip as well! His details are slightly different tho!
Exact same move

how would this translate to no gi? i like it a lot but need it for mma
Is this the traditional style of Triangle?
Sneaky set up 😉

How does the guy not escape? Seems like there’s some easy ways to get out during a few steps
Ryan Hall be like

What was the purpose of all the grip detail at the start if you're then just gonna let it go , ?

总结起来就一点,先做一个假的坐起扫,然后回来做三角绞

I am loving your instruction video, just sayin

BJJ Fanatics are now selling DVDs by brown belts that no one has heard of 😏 That’s a bit ridiculous 👎🏻
Huge honor for me!
