Thanks man, its always a team effort but my girlfriend Louise works so hard on the edits, we're happy your enjoying them. What's next for Trail Running Wales?
Hey Harry Great result!you inspire me so much! i really have just found your channel at the right time!i have literally just signed up to my first half and full Brighton marathons and had never even ran 5k up until 2 months ago!My dad has terminal cancer so i am raising money for the hospice! I have so much respect for you!you deserve way more subscribers you seem a really humble nice guy and the content is great!cant wait to learn more from you!
Wow thank you for the comment, it means a lot. It's great that you've found the channel and its inspiring you. Incredible goals ahead that you have and doing it all for the right reasons, I'm sure your Dad is very proud. What videos would you like to see? Is there any area of your training you'd like to learn more about? Good luck!
thanks so much for the reply man!be great to see videos on how to stay motivated and consistent/how you keep strict with keeping diet clean(this is a big issue I have) and stop overeating. I would love to know how many calories I should be consuming if I want to strip fat now I am running more and for longer could you do a video on working out your calorie intake?keep up the amazing content man and you are a great role model!
Great video, awesome to revisit how lucky we were to run on those great Eiger E101 trails... A race I will definately be returning to so I can beat the storms and get the full course in next time 🙂
Harry Runs, thanks for response, it means a lot. You are inspiration to my running, when I see you guys run 100k, it make me wanted to run more 😉, this year has been busy with work and family, but I'm training hard. Still looking for a race that can fix in my schedule 😅. Happy running 🏃
Running is going well at the moment and contemplating my first ultra next summer. The weather has been incredible, first rainy days now since June. Good luck in the CCC!
You always seem to finish strong, would definitely like to hear your thoughts on how over the years you’ve trained yourself to do that! Another incredible result mate well done 👍
Haha yeah, I think it's more psychological than anything, but could also be argued that I plateau a little in the middle of races and leave a little too much too late at times. Had I been a little more consistent in the middle could have bumped a few more places higher again perhaps, or could have gone the other way. Who knows? That's why I love ultras so much, there's more to it than fitness alone. Do you finish strong in races?
Harry Runs such a great way to do it though even though you feel you might be able to give more.... it’s better to finish strong, especially in an ultra! I’ve only this year started to be able to finish strong... it’s taken a while to get that discipline!
Harry Runs enjoyed it all the way. Was my first trailrun ever. Didn't know what to expect, definitely could have ran a longer distance afterwards. Will return next year for the e35/E51 probably.
Awesome video Harry, one of your best filmed videos, ccc the distance & mountains no problem for you, I would say handling the cold would be the biggest challenge, since you live & train mainly in Thailand, do you train for the cold weather with ccc coming up? Would like to see you do a video on how you became vegan,
Thanks for the support Reece! I'm in Chamonix right now, to get as good as preparation as I could. Been incredibly hot over the past week or so, so hopefully it stays that way all the way up to race day. If not I'll be getting out on the cold days as much as possible to toughen up for race day haha. Good video idea.
Thanks Jesse, I'm just enjoying training and exploring these incredible mountains and excited for when race day comes around. What's next for you dude?
Congrats, well done 👍🏽👣👣👣👣🏔 anythoughts on Nathanpack vs Salomon 5Lpack? Thanks I know it’s all prefrence but I”m starting to see more Nathan packs at races. Appriciate your feedback again well done love the video’s
Hey Michael, I'm really happy with the Nathan Vapor Krar pack, I use the 12 litre one so has plenty of space for the longer races, but still super light and sits well when on shorter runs with less gear. I've ran in the Salomon 5l before, great packs, very light too, but my preference is the Nathan. What pack do you use at the moment? Get to a shop to try each out if you can.
Harry Runs , thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. I currently have the Salomon 5L 2018 and the 12L 2017 both nice packs I’m happy. But looking for something that might ride better, on long 100k trail runs. Looking at Ultimate Direction Adventure pack 4.0 and Nathan 12L
yeh yeh not bad mate... but I just managed to run 10 (yes, TEN!)km without even stopping! And I smashed 60s off my 5k time at the weekend. Watch your heels mate, I'm coming for you!
Great question, I discussed this a little on my Instagram recently. Balance in training is important, I often prioritise steady state and threshold efforts with the longer races. But working more Vo2 stuff in from time to time as I've neglected it for a while and of course the pay off is always great. What about yourself? What are your favourite sessions?
Great job in the race Harry, and your videos are getting better and better. Really enjoying watching them.

Proud of you, I ran the E16 myself. Hope to run the E101 one day as well.
That's awesome Bas. Did you enjoy the E16? Sure work your way up to the E101.

that is like blessing when you live only 20k from this valley . Proud to live in Frutigen Where the Swiss Alps are at home Regards by #trailhighlander
Awesome Trail Highlander, you're one lucky man! I'll back to Switzerland again some day, the swiss alps are incredible.
Nice lead up to CCC, good luck Harry. (lol at 3 thumbs down).
Congrats 🎉
Thank you!
which poles are them ? leki?
Yes Leki Micro Trail pro.
Harry Runs excellent , do they come with rubber stoppers for road / hard path?
Do u do vo2max workouts frequently
Great question, I discussed this a little on my Instagram recently. Balance in training is important, I often prioritise steady state and threshold efforts with the longer races. But working more Vo2 stuff in from time to time as I've neglected it for a while and of course the pay off is always great. What about yourself? What are your favourite sessions?
Harry Runs i really like doing the weekly interval sessions
well done :-)
Thanks John!
"That was tough, oh man that was really hard." all while looking fresh as a sprite endorser.
