- Learn more about the Junker Queen, her back story, and how she rose to power by taking the throne from the Junker King in this latest animated short "The Wastelander" which was revealed during the Overwatch 2 reveal event.

I love how we assumed she’d be a heartless badass yet we see her as a merciful one that would rather make her opponents her allies. I can see why she had problems with Junkrat and Roadie. They stole from her and really just look out for themselves. She’s definitely a team player

In the case of Geiger and Meri it isn't mercy as much as a suprisingly accurate depiction of how a coup works. You turn the lieutenants against the old leader to cement your power.

Yeah, the shout ability def reinforces that because it gives teammates overhealth

As far as I can tell, her dad was either the last Junker King or in the fight with Mason to become Junker king. Her dad lost, Mason was a total tool and kicked them out and now she's back for revenge as the only survivor of her family.
Really interested for more details about the wasteland and the "feral omnics*!
That's likely a reference to the Australian Liberation Front - which Roadhog also appears to have been in, given his ALF skin.

One of the most important aspects of a leader is to be able to truly inspire loyalty,
and stuff like showing the she was willing to take a hit for someone she considers useful where as the king was more than willing to shoot through an ally for a chance to hit her.
I love the Deadpool-like 4th wall breaking, that was great. She seems like fun!

@@connertightnipplesmcgregor She spins I think 3 axes around, using the magnet on her wrist. In game it's toned down due to the fact...well it's a game, and in cinematic it would look far more cool with a whole magnet swirl than just the three weapons and phasing through Howl

I have a few things to point out and a few questions to ask
1. What is in junker queens shotgun
2. I saw that junkrat was eating popcorn that had some kind of metal in it
3. How does she use her magnet on command
4. Her knife has a bike brake as a guard
1. Probably custom shells or scrap like Roadhog
2. I hope there's no Engine Oil
3. Probably electromagnetism, basically the magnets need electric current to work, very fascinating stuff!
4. You gotta get creative in the Outback

I just adore any new "lore" and see into the Junkertown. It's such a interesting story besides the usual Overwatch hero and Talon stuff. Junker Queen is srsly too dang cool and she's such a fun tank to play if you have a good grasp on her damage intake and abilties.

My dudes just basically announced 2 more new heroes in this cinematic. Almost guarantee we'll see Geiger and MERI as playable heroes down the line.
