While it was an awesome and unique canvas, I think it makes for a better book cover 🙌🙂

I really 🖤 your bookbinding-tutorials. Could you please make a video about how to do hardcovers with embossed paper? 🙏🏼 I got some embossed paper with pretty nice decors, but I'm afraid to ruin it with the bonefolder. Some of the sheets have a stronger embossing, some more flat. I'm afraid, when I'm done with them, they're all flat.
While i liked the video where you made it, I didnt like it too much as wall art, but as a book cover it did indeed work very nicely, and gave me the idea to use some canvas i have for such a purpose 👍😁
This is such a great idea! I was just thinking about how I want to make myself a new sketchbook, and I have the confidence to do that solely thanks to your videos. I'm really glad you're getting back into this series again because the way you demystify the bookbinding process is the main reason why I love your channel!
This isn’t like the other books I’ve watched you make during my visits here. Something new! No maybe it’s something different because this is more like an art journal, in my thinking. I love it, the slightly (for you 😆) casual bonding instead of precisely stitched spines. What will we learn next?? I can’t wait! 🎨Annie
This is great!!! Maybe you could try using wrapping paper or posters as covers too and just laminate them!!! Also would love to see more cover ideas for disc binding and just disc binding videos in general!!!
Gasp! My bookbinding course was in your Skillshare portion! Noiiiice. Love how that artwork looks as a cover, and agree that is better suited here than on the wall. The pattern being broken up in the wrap really helps!
I really enjoy your book binding videos. I bought a scallops meal so I could make a book by your directions. When I get the book made I will post on social media. Thank you for your creativity. I would be interested in seeing a book created with one of your weaving projects that you advertised here in this video.
If you add rubber bands to the binder clips, you can make an inexpensive version of Rockler’s Bandy Clamps, it also helps hold the spine against the cover a wee bit better.
I love your book tutorials, are my favorite! Thumbs up always on all your videos. I wish you were a teacher on Skillshare as well. Much love hun! ~*Shana signing out.
hehhee yeeep Sea Lemon!! It looks pretty much better covering the book ^_^ or in a pencil pouch... if you had leftovers from that canvas, what about to make a string/elastic band pen pouch? suitable for not more of 3 or 5 pens maximum
I LOVE this idea! I’ve never even thought of taking a piece of art on canvas and using it as a book cover 😍😍😍 I have a (not very) quick bookbinding question. I love the idea of making my own books...in fact, I actually have made a sketchbook using your tutorials already! However, I would like to add a soft dot grid. If I were to use 11x17” paper like you did, is there a way to format the dots to exist a centimeter from the (folded side) margin so it doesn’t look wonky when finished? Thanks again for another bookbinding video! They’re some of my favorite videos you create 😊 #notificationsquad #seasubsrule
Oh cool! I have that canvas paper definitely gonna try this. Is there any way to make a soft cover that lays flat or do you just break in this one. Thanks!
Sorry in advance for my second question 😬 I’d like to create a series of journal books for the Bible. Each book of the Bible would be one journal. Id still use the 11x17” paper so I could fold signatures and sew it into a canvas or faux leather cover. I’d like to have the left side of the page to have lines or dots and then the Scriptures on the right side. I think you’ve already done a video on formatting lines or dots to print on pages a certain way, but I have no idea where I’d start with the formatting to make everything come out in the correct spot. Does anyone have any suggestions or even a suggestion on where I could find out how to do the formatting? Sorry for how complicated this idea is! 😬 If you made it to the end of this comment, you my friend deserve a gold star, a high five, and a ginormous cupcake!
I always get uneven edges, i already tried do cut them with the signatures separated (before i glue them), with them together in the book form, i switched the blade right before i trimmed them (I even got a good x-acto knife just for this) and usually sand the pages after, with a really soft sandpaper, but for some reason they never look as good as in your projects ... could it be from the paper? I've been using recycled 80gm paper. For some time, I even stoped doing this kind of projects because they never turned out good! Anyways! Jennifer, if you see this by any chance, I want to say that I really love when you do this projects, they are my favourite! A huge hug from Portugal!
What are the best methods if I'm interested in sketchbooks laying flat and being able to draw/paint across the spread? I Will myself a sketchbook in the new year!
I really thought you would glue the canvas to the first and last page, would doing that secure the cover better for us folks that are hard on our journals.
Thank you for being real about how you felt about one of your precious creations! ;)

Yay! I went through a "wine & paint" phase. Now I know what to do with all those canvases!😃
Whoa looks better than a regular notebook pattern !!! This is a very great vid

I love this notebook 😍 Thanks for sharing!
I am happy to see you often again ☺️
That made a great book cover. Gives me an idea of eventually what to do with some canvas I have lying around. :)

First love u so much. Xx
My niece got a large book of loose coloring sheets. Recommendations on how to bind it? The pages are over two feet tall and 18” wide.
Jennifer are you on Skillshare ???!
Can you suggest other materials that can be used for soft covers in addition to canvas?
I really thought you would glue the canvas to the first and last page, would doing that secure the cover better for us folks that are hard on our journals.
Why didn’t you use your book press that you made with your bread boards?
This book was too large for it 😬
What did u do with the frame
I really like your voice...😊
How about a SteamPunk themed book? ☺️ #SeaLemon

I’m sorry but i can’t stand skillshare anymore
I love Skillshare, but after seeing so many other UA-camrs promoting the same sponsorship, I'll admit, I was worried viewers might say this 😆
@Mawshine: Can you tell us why you don't like it? TIA.
Yes I’m very sorry but I still do enjoy your content a lot XD
