- In this episode I am traveling to the Swedish island called Gotland. The main town, Visby, is one of the most enchanting old towns I have ever seen. It is also a great place to experience my very first 'Fika'...

What was place called were you have camped?
It was called Hätteboda Vildmarkscamping 🙌
@@ItchyBoots I am going on a campervan-trip to south sweden next month. Thank you for showing me this awesome place. I will definitely stop there for a couple of nights.
Keep on, never stop! You are amazing! Always love your videos!
@@ItchyBoots thank you! :)
@@ItchyBoots nice that you share it 👍🏻
People on travel appreciate love
And argument in their own country
My oldest daughter (7) just proclaimed, "I think I need to ride a motorcycle when I grow up." Thanks from Texas Noraly!
Im sure she will grow into a very talented motorcycle rider! 💪😊
@@ItchyBoots thanks! It seems we can't go to bed now without watching at least one of your videos (with all three of the girls). They're getting a great lesson in geography and culture from you too. It's truly helpful in their schooling.
@@ItchyBoots if you are getting young girls interested in motorcycling and are helping in their geography learning, your next trick needs to be to get them interested in Science :)
@@Potsie yes, more geology talk. I'd enjoy it too honestly.
How KOOL is that. How Inspiring. This is WHY we LOVE 'itchyboots' ❤🏍❤
Beautiful footages of my fathers café Noraly. Really glad to meet you on my hometown of Gotland and your uplifting approach to people. You are more than welcome back. Hope you have an amazing time where you are now. Cheers from Edward and Hans.
It was so lovely to meet you! 😊 If I ever come back to Gotland I will make sure to visit again!!
Café owner was a total legend. Such a brilliant and friendly chap. If I ever go to Gotland I will definitely visit for a bun and coffee.
Give the FIKA guy an oscar ! What a character
Such an amazing guy
I like the way he welcome customers
The Café guy is so sweet..
says "I don't have so much"
.. and then shows her 7 different dishes.. 😎😂😂👍🌹
That Cafe Guy, Such a Vibe!
I was telling my wife last night that I’ve learned more about the world through motorcycle travel videos than I ever learned in school. Noraly, your videos are exceptional!
i like how Noraly's attitude is that of a curious and excited girl while doing things that are regarded as totally badass and chill...like how she's so natural and effervescent instead of acting tough and cool 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
👍👍👍👍
Wet, grey and miserable - no problem we have a ray of sunshine called Noraly to brighten our lives.

@@legopika YES!! (from Bellingham, WA)
legopika Cle Elum here. I’ll take the rain over the smoke for sure.
When I saw you were having Fika, I paused the video, made myself a coffee and some cake and sat down with you, virtually! So you had at least one "friend" with you for Fika. Sweden and Denmark are two of my favourite places to visit, but now I need to go to Greenland! Safe travels Noralee.
It is really very nice of you
Same.. because I usually watch her videos with my coffee in the morning. ☕
Me too!
Yes Fika also enjoyed in Canada with you. Nice hot coffee and lemon butter toast. Thank-you Noraly for keeping us all smiling.
Paul Kinsella I did same as you, finally with Norally and probably a few hundred more👍👍
The FIKA guy, I don't have much and then names off numerous choices that would still leave me struggling to decide on :-) That was a great little place.
I am from Sweden but moved to France 8 years ago, damn when i look at this i miss Sweden so much and just take a fika with my friends, Thank you for great vloging.
That cafe guy is innocent and i like him.
Anybody know what the name of the place is?
@@TheWatcher328 Café Gula Huset (Café Yellow House)
it is obvious that he enjoys his work
I experienced a flashback to "The Cheese Shop" skit by Monty Python. This owner actually had plenty of choices to offer!
Don't you worry that you had the sweedish fika alone dear... You just had it with over a million mates here... 💕💕
How true!
I'm betting the 5 people who put a thumbs-down were just wishing this episode were longer!
The thumbs down are usually "bots" from the y-tube algorithm.
No we are just pissed that she went on the wrong side of the country, there is a reason our capitol is called "Mordor" and she is going towards it
@@ViffeNify Could it be that Noraly is part of the ring company and is on her way to Mordor?
@@ViffeNify I guess most people watching are unfamiliar with this part of the world. Which part would you suggest to visit and what is there to be seen there. Thanks
Or kanelbulle purists. 😂
I love how you do your research about EVERYTHING! Whether it's geography, history, cultural stuff like Fika you can explain it really good! Thumbs up!!
That guy is so humble and generous ❤
You don't see that often enough
I like how much energy he has aswell!
Noraly adventures 3 times a week! Woo Hoo! Your enthusiasm, videography skills, and the education you provide is a trifecta of entertainment! Thank you!
The café owner is a superstar. Now tens of thousands of travellers are going to visit for his cakes and coffee!
Yeah those are the best places to visit anywhere in the world. Genuine and local.
On October 4th Sweden is celebraiting ”the cinnamon bun day” (kanelbullens dag). Over seven million buns are sold that day. Quite a lot for a population of 10 million. Hope you all can enjoy one.
And the rest of us bake them ourselves 😄❤️
You weren't having Fika alone! You had it with almost 16,000 viewers :)
Every day, I get more and more addicted to your videos.
What a fantastic experience you are getting. Your friendliness and smile are contagious. Congratulations from Brazil!
Being a baker and biker myself, I can truly imagine what a cuppa and a bun would mean after a tiring ride. Awesome... keep going :)
even cheeseburger, fries, apple pie and ice cream would do.
EVERYTHING is better after a ride. Thats half the reason why i ride so often. :D
Ahhh been in Gotland! Beautiful Island! indeed
I have followed you all over the world, for a long time.
And its so awesome to see you here in Sweden now! Really love it!
Hope you like the country :)
The early morning ambiance in the forest campsite was almost spiritual in nature.
The island town looks right out of a fairy tale. These surely are memories for the future.
Greating from USA. I no Nealy and her viewers will not see this but in the camp sight were Nealy was camping the little hamsters as she called them are chipmunks . So cute !!
I love that town. The coffee man was a really nice fellow.
Fika is so famous in Sweden, glad you shared this. Tak.
*Tack. Tak means roof ;)
That opening camping area was absolutely beautiful. Although I now prefer my camping from inside a cabin looking out a window 😁 but I'm sure I could "suffer" through a night or two there in a tent. As usual a great adventure.
Just so you know my wife and I have been binge-watching all your videos ever since I introduced her to your channel during season 6 when you finished in Alaska. This video struck a note with me about Fika "coffee and cake" because that is my main morning ritual I have a cup of black coffee and a mall piece of coffee cake! So now I have a Swedish term I can tell everyone how I start my morning!
OMG! your eyes are so blue! :) ...well that wasn't what I intended to write. I started watching this series yesterday, I started with the Swedish police episode and watched to the end. Then I stared from the beginning so I almost have come full circle on this season. While waiting for season 4 I'll watch season 1 and 2. Thanks for great content and entertainment! :)
Australia, East Coast, Nelson Bay, its 1.30 am Thursday 24th and I paused the video , made myself a black coffee and with a cinamon bun joined you and all for Fika

I’m glad you tried the most swedish thing. Fika is in our blood! Kanelbulle is something that every grandmother feeds their grandkids with. 😂
Oh yes, this is delicious. In the Winter season, we have here in Luxembourg a chain of shops that makes them and they have a really big success.
Omg i couldn't believe it when i first saw it! That fika owner man is the father of my childhood friend!
The Cafe owner struck me as the DOC from **Back to the Future..**
Great character..!!!
I loved Sweden when was 22 years old. You are luckiest lady in the world visiting so many lovely places good for you.
You can have a fika anytime you want. Normaly between meals. Förmiddagsfika (after breakfast before lunch) Eftermiddagsfika (after lunch before dinner) Kvällsfika (after dinner before bed)
Oh. Where do I apply for gettting a Swedish citizenship ? 😍
Good to know!! 😋😋
So, if you are a big Fika fan you can just leave out the main meals and have Fika 3 times a day?! 8)
Yes Noraly. Not between 11 and 3. At 11 and at 3 o clock. 😊
@T J Not bad guesses. Eftermiddag = Afternoon (but literally "after midday") and Kväll = Evening
I am happy to tell you I have been inspired to purchase an adventure bike! I am currently working on it to get it ready for my first trip which will be Iceland. Canada Air will transport there. Then after Iceland I will be taking the ferry that you took to Denmark. From there Sweden, Norway then over to Scotland via the countries in between.
From Scotland to the Western Herbrides and the Isle of Man! Not sure after that, maybe the rest of Europe and then Asia. I got the BMW R1200GSA and it has just under 50K miles. Who knows I may start my own channel. Stay well!
The guy in the Fika shop was awesome looked such a cool town! Thanks for sharing :)
The best motorcycle adventures begin when you strap your two wheeled friend to the ferry deck! Your journey keeps us sea green with envy! Fika sounds like something I need to adopt. Thank you Noraly for a bit of additional cultural education.
Hopefully, when she resumes her Patagonia to Alaska trip, she'll get a few more ferry trips in: Washington State and Alaska in the US, and BC Ferries in Canada, all have excellent trips
@@dankingsbury9971 Yes indeed. I'm from the midwest and have done the Washington State and Alaskan ferries, and even in eastern Canada to Newfoundland ( from Quebec and from Nova Scotia. ) and a remarkable 2hr 20 minute ferry across the St. Lawrence River to Bay Comeau, Quebec. Love to ride in the "True North". Was hoping to do so again this year, but that darn covid thing....
In Sweden we have "Allemansrätten". That means that you can camp whereever you want in nature or in a forest, for free.
I love love love that.
same thing in Finland, surprise..
Too add, It's even allowed on private land, as far as you don't litter or destroy the land
@@veepee78 and fishing with worns and collect fruits like blueberrys in forest
But not allowed in many protected nature areas.
Fica guy really treat people like his special guess. The cafe look amazing bcoz of him
Fika in my language means "stay" and that's my feeling exactly if I ever set foot in my dream country, beautiful Sverige!
Such a beautiful place, if only the video was longer. Thank you and hello from Florida. 🧡👍😎🍷🧀
We all had Fika with you Noraly!
Keep riding safe!
Cheers from Temuco, Chile!
I remember when I was doing my motorbike tour through Sweden and went to a café at Fika time. As I was traveling solo I must have looked very lonely as I sat there. But not for long! A nice Swede asked if he could sit down and since he saw my motorcycle and drove one himself, we got into a nice conversation.
You are doing the FIKA right. You are amongst your invisible friends. The coffee was so tasty. You are so amazing! Very easy to please. It took only a pastry to make you happy, while some people have to have a large diamonds to get as much reaction. You should be a role model for a lot of materialist people. Tak!
So nice that you chose to go to Gotland, Im sure you will like it a lot👍 I live close to Nynäshamn where the boats also go to Gotland, and its a really nice summerholliday island🌞
Take care and enjoy the ride and keep on having the fika breaks 😎☕🍰🥯
I was following Norely on the map and thought Nynäshamn was where she would depart from. Best wishes from the state of Connecticut in the United States.
I like watching Noraly's videos. They are very interesting and relaxing. Thank you for sharing your journeys with us.
When you have Fika and you may want another cup of coffee. This is called "Påtår", which can be translated as "Fill up". And in most coffee places in Sweden, "Påtår" is always free. And if you want a third refill, it's called "Tretår".
I'm living in Liverpool, UK and there is a FIKA Coffe House just a few hundred meters away from me. When I saw that first time, I had to laugh with tears in my eyes. I am from Hungary, and FIKA means in our language: SNOT. 😂
I really like your videos, following you in different country with a new adventure. You do it really well!
In fact you are not having Fika alone, but with your viewers.. 😀 nice video
I would love to live in Sweden.
The People are so friendly and lovely.
The Nature is so healthy there.
And it is so clean.
I have been in Ørkeljunga in the Forest.
To find the Guesthouse I asked a Forrestworker and he was like the Twinbrother of Kimi Räikkönen😁
Noraly thank you so much to share your Adventure with us.
You are doing a wonderfull Journey.
I am following wherever you will go!💚❤💛💜🙏🌍⛰🗽⛺🗻🌋
If you didn't go more north than Örkelljunga you have almost endless of amazing nature to discover! Why not buy a house in the woods and move here? 😀
@@simonsryd1 I live in the desert Southwest of the USA and have lived here in the desert for 38 years--I will move there if Bastian does not! If I could just find a job there . . . .!
Norway.
Sweden is so cheap...
Norway
Watching @ItchyBoots feels like I've been around the world. 🙌
Cute cafe with nice baker...the city was awesome. I love the wooden house.
What a beautiful quaint "medieval" town Visby is. Wish I could visit it one day.
In Sweden we enjoy our Fika any time of the whole day 😍✌
As a late comer to your videos Noraly, I’m still enjoying them even now in 2022. Your laugh is infectious. Keep up the good work. 👍👍
I live in Visby for 4 years now and l can confirm Gotland is magical ❤️
Next to try: the famous swedish ”smörgåsbord”!!!
what is that?
And some "gubbröra" and maybe some "stuvade kantareller"...
Surströmming?
@@eddale5557 No, thats not true :)
@@restless_soulism Keep it in your pants, don´t want to see her dead!
In your last message I wrote I love you hair...oh yes your eyes too...full of life and the smile is like a bridge...you put so many smiles on so many faces. God bless you
We have fika between 10 in the morning and as late as you want! There's also evening fika. I used to live in Visby for a year and I went to that café every weekend. I recognised that guy from the first second! (Also, you can have milk in your coffee. Also, you can have fika by yourself, I often do that. A sandwich also counts, even though sweets are more real fika. Simply put, the definition of fika is quite broad!) :)
Fantastic this forest camp! You weren't doing "fika" alone, you were sharing it with all of us who always accompany you.
Fika yes! Hahaha I loved the Fika guy!
word of the day "Fika" 😂🤣 the shop owner was so nice
That town is beautiful. Those cobble stone roads gives it a distinct charm
Lovely little town!! Those big yellow boxed-shaped buildings are so Swedish.
Sweden looks amazing! Greetings from Canada, Noraly!
Loved that man's energy at the Fika place! :)
`I'll have FIKA this coming afternoon. Good to see Sweden architecture
We genieten enorm van je reizen. Dank u
We enjoy your travels very much. Thank you
What a charming town and island. Nice to see you enjoying some creature comforts after the raw weather in Iceland. No swollen rivers or high-altitude passes to negotiate today! I watched this video while eating dinner, and didn't have to put my fork down and stop and hold my breath even once.
Everytime i watch ur videos it feels like i travel without moving my feet❤️
Love u from Indonesia

As I sat down to continue watching this episode, you just entered the cafe and I didn't know what fika was yet. But well, I just had fika with you - coffee and hazelnut cake. You were not alone! You are always so cheerful in your videos, even when you are tired. Awesome! Stay safe!
Woot woot...another beautiful experience. Such a nice host. Weather looks awesome! Have fun! “Let’s Go” 🏍🇺🇸
Thanks for the happy memories of Gotland. Café Gula Huset has superb fika.. Next time try the saffranspannkaka med salmbär.
Fika was with us all 😂. Thanks for sharing, cheers 👍
Hello from a fellow rider in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I truly enjoy watching your adventure recordings. Great job of filming and editing. I was stationed in Europe for several years with the Air Force and regret not getting on a bike while there to do a bit of riding and exploring. I am truly envious. Stay safe out there and enjoy the ride. Best wishes!
I learnt about fika two years ago through this video
I watch your videos on my tv so I go to my phone to like your videos . Always enjoy them wherever you are and whatever you’re doing.
As an American that lives in Phoenix Arizona I really appreciate your travels .
Thanks Noraly you’re awesome 👍🏻😎
Excellent one Noraly. Sweden seems so civilised. Didn't know about Fika but love the concept!
That was enjoyable, and you have to know that sharing the final experience with all of us means you weren’t alone and you did it right! Looking forward to seeing more of the town!
Recalled my old days that I spent in Visby, this is such a nice little old town. I lived here in 2008 -09.
That forest that you camped in looks straight out of Skyrim. Just beautiful!
Your giggles are so uplifting, have a great night in doors. 😁👍✌
That was the quietest intro ever! But i liked it 😄. You didn't do the Fika completely wrong, you had it with all of us from all over the world 😁. Happy adventure in Gotland!
Thanks for your great videos. It´s like I am there myself:-)
The name of the café in Visby is "Gula Huset", and they have the greatest fika! Delicious cakes, buns, rolls, crumble pies, coffe, te, you name it! And a wonderful back yard. The owners name is Hans, and he is always that nice:-)
I lived on Gotland for more than 17 years, it is a beautiful island. I´m very glad to see that the café is still there, it´s one of my must-go places when I visit Visby.
And fika is something you can do at anytime of the day, by the way:-)
To everybody reading this: If you ever get a chance to go to Gotland, you should go!
Best wishes, Itchy Boots!
As a Swede, this was great fun to watch. You are right about the Swedish Fika. 😍
Good evening Noraly, it's midnight again and a big 👍's up.

I used to live in Visby, and that café you went to was my favourite place to go to for a fika. The owner is such a nice guy, a lovely man!
I am glad we have finally gotten to see some of Europe. So far it is a very different view to the normal tourist brochure type of thing you expect to see.
Lovely. Swedish people was there for us and assisted us as South Africans during the dark days. I've been in Sweden in 1988.You've just awaken my fond memories of a beautiful Country with beautiful people.
That Cafe Guy! Also loved how you were Just ignoring all road signs 😂
