I have a LG G3 in 2024 and it was unbelivably holding in 2024. Plus i applied some Thermal paste and installed LineageOS, it feels like new again for a 2014 phone.
Awesome! I always wanted to do try flashing some sort of custom rom OS on my galaxy note and make it feel a tad bit more usable. Lol thermal paste sounds like a good idea! i should try it.
New subscriber! Awesome content here. I actually did something similar when I compared my old SIII (died months ago) to my current driver, the S22+. The difference, especially in speed and camera, was OUTSTANDING. What I did like with my SIII is how versatile the hardware was (MicroSD, audio jack, swappable battery and back cover, etc) compared to the S22+. However, I don't miss them at all (I have Google Drive/Photos, OneDrive, Galaxy Buds Pro, a powerbank, etc), and I appreciate every advancement. And yes, I HATE the curved screens. :D
Its so nice to take a step back and really soak in how FAR technology in the smartphone space has come. I myself have taken it for granted. But, i wholeheartedly agree with you about missing features like the headphone jack, microsd slot especially, and etc however i also am willing to take these compromises in return for basically full blown pocketable computers. Welcome to the BMTA Community❤
I checked on my galaxy note 3 just to test it and it is suprisingly still usable, not as fast as my foldable phone. I remember being the coolest kid in my class for having a note 3 and all the features it can do. I think it's the dual core that is limiting the original note because my note 3 has a quadcore and is still okay.
I have an LG 2 and sadly i canrt evwn connect to wifi. You mention if that was an iPhone you bet it would work. I think it would probably not since its more than 12 years ago. I dont think apple uodate iPhone 1 or 2
You definitely have a point my friend! At the time of recording I was probably thinking about my old iphone 7 pro so my apologies for the confusion. I also doubt the iphone 1 or 2 would be much better than the old galaxy note i have.
@@user-ci8zu1wx2z especially at the rear. It just makes it so hard for locsl repair shops to actually repair them when inevitably the time comes. I get it that its mostly to truly make modern phones waterproof but ahh i wish batteries were still easily replaceable !
@@ArthurD ive tried looking for a replacement front glass or just the housing on ebay but its like 70 bucks haha i dont really wanna spend that much on it.
@@ArthurD but maybe in a future vid if yall wanna see it. I can also add a new custom rom to it so maybe it can run finally possibly be usable in 2024 lol
Amazing video as always! Love the thumbnail too, looks good :)
@@bananaFN4 wassup bananaa! Thank you haha. I was afraid the composition wasnt good but im glad yall liked it!I Introduced more funko pops too lol
@@BoredMindsThinkAlike I love funko pops (i’m a collector) so that’s one of the reasons why I loved the thumbnail :)

How old is that phone? My 6 year old redmi device still runs faster
@@macksuting6263 so according to wikipedia this was released 2011 but i got this phone at 2013. So this phone is 13 years old 😂 damn

@@BoredMindsThinkAlikeThe Samsung S5 did that. Its waterproof but it also had a removable back cover as well as removable battery.

Another option is to get another phone (working or parts) and swap some parts out
Lacking of ram
