What do you think of Sadie? Why do you think Dutch didn't pay that much attention to her? Who else do you want to talk about? Any theories you want to share or touch on?
I'd like her kill Micah earlier, she would save the entire gang, and Dutch wouldn't snap the way he did, even Hosea would be alive... She's the boss anyway, she got more guts than all other gangs together.
I think Sadie is a well written, flawed character. She lost everything she ever cared about and has the right to be the vengeful, ticking time bomb she is. I know a lot of people think she's to aggressive or too wild, but that's why I like her/a well written reaction. She even says it herself. "They turned me into a monster."
Sadie never fell into Dutch’s Charm. Because of that, Dutch didn’t trust her to get the Blackwater Money, much less when Micah was starting to get in Dutch’s ear. Sadie was the only capable gang member to get the money that the Pinkertons didn’t knew about until chapter six.
Micah and Dutch viewed her as an unstable threat. I’m surprised Micah didn’t kill her. I think Micah was genuinely afraid of her, since he never even interacted with her after colter.
Actually I'm in shady bell came to the camp and her and Micah were riding back to the camp together. Which was weird because I never seen other gang members leave the area like that
I don't recall anything to suggest Micah was afraid of Sadie, though he certainly would have every right to be. If a woman like her ever got mad at me, I'd be looking for a lace to hide.
@@earnem4175 the whole time he’s either insulting camp members or hitting on someone. He talks a lot in camp but it’s easy to miss. There are several interactions with other camp members and Micah, but there was never one where he talked to Sadie.
@@Nick-79-29How? Just like all the other women in the gang she wasn't that familiar to anyone and in the end she became a bounty hunter. She wasn't as wanted as John it makes perfect sense she wouldn't get the consequences she "deserved" what has she actually done so horribly in the laws eyes that the pinkerstons wanted her for? C'mon now.
She gained a soft spot for John and his family in the epilogue, evident after the last bounty they did together, she said that she wanted to stop bringing him along bounties because she didn’t want to anything to happen to John on a bounty, in case it affected Abigail and Jack.
Dutch could've used Sadie to get the Blackwater money with Trelawney. If Dutch really wanted the money from Blackwater, he would've sent Sadie and Trelawney to collect. Trelawney has diarrhea of the mouth and can distract everyone while Sadie collected the money or Sadie causes the distraction and Trelawney is the one who silently sweeps in and collects the money. They could've made it out like bandits as soon as they got Jack or even before trying to play the families and wouldn't even have to make enemies with Bronte or the families and they all could've disappeared before the Pinkertons or O'Driscolls found them. But because Dutch is Dutch, he couldn't allow a smooth operation to bring in the money that could save everyone by two outsiders. No, he needed "one last take" to make himself superior to his enemies and feel like the big man. It was never about Tahiti or getting out and getting lost in the west. It was always about Dutch's ego and to be seen as the big savior to his family and the big bad outlaw. They could've easily gotten the money and gotten lost out west like planned or fled to Tahiti or wherever. But Dutch had no plan to get out safely, he needed as much bloodshed and noise because his ego would not allow them to flee quietly into the night.
Maybe he's also the paranoiac he is, and he doesn't trust Sadie and Trelawny (particularly not Trelawny) enough with such an amount of money on their own. Of course you're right about Dutch's motives, but I don't really think sending Sadie would have been an option. Besides, her and Trelawny barely knew each other.
You’re an idiot if you think that Dutch would trust anyone with that amount of money. Let alone an insane serial killer woman whose been with the gang for a couple of weeks, and someone who literally disappears for months on end without a trace. You’d be an idiot to send them to get the Blackwater money
I know this sounds crazy but truth be told Trelawny was the snitch this entire time. Just pay attention to a lot of his dialogue in your next play through and also pay attention to how he always has some kind inside information about important things throughout the game. And if you notice he always seems to show up and disappear right before the Pinkerton agents come
I just replayed rdr 2 on PC first played it when I was 13 I’m eighteen now watching Arthur I got a new perspective it’s really a story of a man truely manipulated. Dutch and Arthur it was decent till the trolley mission the one after that riding to the swamp country pursuits the mission was I think Dutch’s tone faith and all that I just thought. “Fuck this guy”. More respect for John really he saw right through it and did right even with a doubt in his mind about who jacks dad is. Seeing him standing upto Micah in chapter 6 over Jack it’s beautiful. My dad got locked up and more or less abandoned us when we was 6. Got a half brother year old it’s. Well it’s nice to see
I think the thing with Sadie is that her anger is mostly with the O’Driscolls and anybody who reminds her of them, threatens her or her way of life or her loved ones, etc. I believe she also sees what she and her husband had in John and his family, and wants to protect them from the kind of loss she experienced, and that’s why she so easily sided with Arthur and John.
I think it’s more because Dutch didn’t take her seriously. When she bought new clothes to wear pants, Dutch and the rest of the camp commented on how weird it is and I remember Dutch laughing it off. He never really saw her on an equal level. Arthur was the one who took her seriously and trusted her plans enough break John out. By the end, she was loyal to Arthur rather than Dutch when people began to see her potential.
Aside from Sadie's unstable nature, I think the reason Dutch never made a move on her is because he wants absolute loyalty, and she could never give him that. Sadie is with the gang because they take her in and because she wants to avenge her husband's death. She isn't there for Dutch or his dream of a free Outlaw Paradise. Her heart will always belong to her husband Jake and the only man in the gang she sincerely comes to care for is Arthur. Outside of forcing himself on her (which would then make Dutch and anyone protecting him a target) he never had a chance. To put it another way, she's still deeply in love with her deceased husband and isn't interested in a self styled Outlaw false God cult/gang leader who damn near gets everyone killed.
I don't think this video was about Dutch fucking Sadie, just taking advantage of her bloodthirsty nature and using her as a strong-arm in his gang lmao
She cared about John too, it was her idea to go break john out of prison for the most part. Arthur did agree but most of the setup for the operation was done by Sadie, for example the balloon.
Very nicely said! You could actually see her...development most in the scenes with arthur. From hateful...to thinking about gutting him in the night...to just tolerating him and somewhere than to actually respecting him. And it came with Arthurs development into "a good man". And Arthur never making a go at her for her female charms made her look through her zeal for vengeance seeing Arthur like he could be. Dutch on the other hand is everything a woman like Sadie disrespects, like you said. She early on saw that Dutch, as smooth as he plays, to be hellbent on his path to self-destruction, while Arthur broke free of his evil mold.
Sadie even begged for Dutch to take her along to a robbery and you can tell he's super hesitant on it. If he wants to test the waters with loyalty, he'd string Sadie along. But alas, she's too unstable for a leader that's already unstable himself. Sadie still cares for the gang anyway.
Sadie is my favorite side character, you know when you ride with her on a mission you better bring xtra ammo, there will be lots of gunplay..lol She went from mild mannered widow to badass gunslinger. Shes is a great character.
The problem i had with sadie was that her change from grieving widow to vengeful gunslinger was way too fast. At colter shes crying, same for horseshoe overlook but at clemens point ? She make a harsh turn and want to shoot everyone and anyone
Dutch didnt use sadie because unlike the others she had no loyalty for dutch or his ideals she was grateful to him but nothing more. She wasnt working for him she had her own motivations and dutch doesnt know how to use that like he knows how to use loyalty and the admiration he can inspire to push people into action. In short he couldnt fully control her so he kept her on a short leash. He only let her help with colm because dutch wanted to make sure no matter what went down colm would be killed sadie would see to that.
1:48 I put Arthur in that exact estate boss hat and shotgun coat combo but the colors weren't exact matches and it drove me crazy. Anyway, I've always thought Sadie was the one who found out that Colm was going to hang in San Denis and she told Dutch, and therefore Dutch didn't even choose to take her so much as accept the inevitability of her being there.
One of the most breathtaking scenes in the entire game is when your in the hot air balloon and you break through the clouds. Wish we could fly them around more, it was pretty fun.
Personally, I think Dutch kept her around because he thought she's frail and weak. He never anticipated Sadie to become unstable, and by the time Dutch realized that, it was too late. She has nothing to lose, and you definitely do not want to get in the way of a person who has nothing to lose.
I had almost forgot about Sadie at the end of chapter 2. I was starting to wonder why she even was in the game. But after the first mission in chapter 3 she become my favorite gang member besides Charles.
I think that you're possibly overthinking it. Dutch didn't bring Sadie. He merely realized that he wouldn't be able to stop her. Dutch understood the spirit of vengeance that possessed her. It was the same spirit that possessed him when Colm killed Annabelle, the same spirit that compelled him to stand in the town square of a city where both the law and the mob want him dead.
Like that other guy said, Dutch wanted absolute loyalty, and the only person Sadie had that for after Jake was Abigail. She was certainly loyal to Arthur, but she was willing to risk his life for some O’Driscoll payback. And so what use is she to Dutch, someone she is only mildly loyal to? A trigger happy gun with a mind of her own, and no intention of being used by anyone again. Give her a wide berth until you can use her once like a bomb? It’s also funny to think maybe Dutch was a little offended she wasn’t licking his boot or cowing in fear like uhh…maybe some of the others. No offense to these fictional gang members. On the bench, fishwife!
It's a wonder she wasn't tasked with retrieving the Blackwater money while in Chapter 3. It was perfect, no one would have suspected anything with her nosing around. I don't think it would have saved Sean, but maybe Hosea wouldn't have planned the bank robbery.
Make a video about what would have happened if Kieran escaped and later went after O'Driscolls just like Sadie,oh yeah and if you could make second half of the video simmilar to something in the style of murge productions heisenverse
I think Dutch recognized early on that Sadie is motivated by forces too powerful for him to channel and manipulate. Colm's hanging is appropriately the only one he puts her up front-and-center for, since in that case her anger was focused onto one individual that she perceived as the root of her misery. Even then, she couldn't let a single O'Driscoll go, even in public and at the potential detriment of her own gang. She's a lot of fun to witness as a character... but if this was real life, the best thing to do is be her friend and keep her away from vengeance. She's reckless to the point of suicidality, and if Dutch were to try to use her at that time, his immorality would be exposed by this widow that has no loyalties to him beyond his initial kindness. She would have no problem killing him and wiping out the rest of the camp if they tried to stop her, and if anything, perhaps she would hope for an unsuccessful mission.
Good job taking care of your Arthur Man you can tell the difference between Healthy Arthur ( when you can make him) and Homeless Amaciated base clothes Arthur
I've always thought of Sadie as an honorable outlaw, someone who is willing to help people, but still holds the anger from losing her husband and tends to let loose sometimes. Overall really liked her character and interactions with Arthur in particular.
Sadie is a strong female character done right. I love her character so much because she shows weakness but she's also so realistic. She's an amazing character.
I disagree on the part where you said she was realistic, she's done things such as taking on several armed men BY HERSELF. With just a knife, and hanged from just a rope BY HERSELF with no help besides Arthur pulling her up. She's less realistic than most female characters to be honest..But she's great as a character. Still I don't like her as much because of Arturo Bullard.
Disagree. They go out of their way many times to show how “badass” she is, and I just find it cringey because it’s so over the top, not realistic to me. Karen and miss grimshaw are much better in my opinion
Strong yes, but if you even remotely feel as empty as she does, you know how hollow and miserable life will be at that point. You do not live, you just exist. That strength comes from the urge to survive alone, yet you wouldn’t really mind if it all ended the next day. PTSD can make you quite strong, I know that well myself, but life itself becomes a miserable, meaningless routine filled with actions, that distract you as much as possible from your past
Sadie was one of my favorite gang members. Definitely couldn't hurt to follow her "life" after RDR2 in the next installment...if there's ever going to be a next installment.
I don't quite understand how Karen who's been in the gang for years and organized one of the best heist in the game is never brought along when stuff happens but a unstable bloodthirsty Sadie who's been a gunslinger for a few weeks/months is.
I think you missed a relatively important thing about Dutch's personality that has potential to be the deciding factor in how he treated and viewed Sadie... He's a genuine misogynist. You can see from his reaction to Molly's outburst as one of complete shock but I don't think it was purely shock at the betrayal, he was surprised that a woman, let alone a woman that BELONGED to him, could have so much power over his future. He first saw Sadie as a broken little girl and I don't think that opinion changed because he didn't give her any consideration, he'd already written her off as a pawn, same as everyone else in his gang. On the subject of Dutch seeing the gang as pawns, the chess moves he talks to himself about are part of an opening called the "Dutch defense", its considered an unbalanced and aggressive opening and it's one that freely sacrifices the pawns to save the king...
She is my favorite side character, you know if you ride with her on a mission there will be a lot of gunplay..lol Shes fearless, faithful, and just badass.
Is that so? Personally she's...honestly one of my least favorite characters in any game I've ever played...she feels like she actively contradicts the story's themes and messages, and every time she's involved in a mission, I can only sigh knowing _hordes_ of people are going to die for absolutely nothing but one hothead's uncontrollable vendetta. She's a burden more often than an ally
Nah everybody i've talked to about this game praises her. She's a strong female character done right. Uses her brain more than her muscles to get advantage of the situation and shows weakness. She also has a lot of flaws in her character (not like, poorly written flaws but flaws as a person) which makes her very interesting and not like those power fantasy farts the entertainment industry puts out a lot these days. She's the reason why i'm not afraid of gta 6 having a female lead cause rockstar has shown that they're able to make good strong female characters.
@@TwoHeadedMeerkat I started to not like Sadie when she got Arturo Bullard killed.. RIP Arturo Bullard. He was the best Hot Air Baloon man there ever was..
Yea I think if Dutch was the first person to bring her out instead of arthur then things would have turned out different for Sadie and not in a good way but maybe Sadie still would have seen through Dutch though as she’s only ever know him while he was losing his grip on the gang and not at his charismatic and manipulative best.
If you don't spend any time in camp in chapter two her transition to a rage monster literally come out of nowhere and you reach some really, really stupid interactions. Like the fact Dutch held a camp-wide meeting explaining that there were trying to not cause trouble then immediately after Sadie thinks it's acceptable to just murder the local shopkeeper. Her writing is very, very poor of you are only playing the story so you can get to freeplay
Sadie was and is a good person and she wasnt entirely used to this outlaw criminal lifestyle, i believe thats why she could tell the genuine people caught up with the rotten cores. She never even thought of Dutch or Micah as friends but took a genuine care in John and Arthur.
My question is why are Sadie and Jake living on a ranch which is in winter conditions all year long? Were they outlaws from somewhere else hiding out from the law themselves?
I wouldn't think that Dutch used Sadie in the mission where Colm is hanged. I'd say that she essentially injected herself into the situation and Dutch went along with it, exactly because he knows that her life was destroyed by Colm and there's no going against her. I also think Dutch wouldn't dare use her, because he has seen that she can't be controlled.
me personally, I see it as a plot hole because sadie adler was very clearly a character designed towards the end of development, due to her lack of existence in many missions and her not being acknowledged at all in moments where I feel like she totally would be, had she been a proper character in the story. it makes zero sense when both arthur and sadie save john from the penitentiary against dutch's orders, but only arthur gets reprimanded for it while sadie just...stands there and be useless. the only logical explanation is that they obviously designed her character at the end and just sprinkled in where she would appear, how she appears and how long, etc. given her traits, characteristics and what she wants, it also makes little sense why she would help arthur and friends. I know people will always mention the soft spot thing towards arthur, but can you tell me why that fixes the problem I mentioned? it doesn't, at least I don't think it should. by chapter three, she goes full psychopath mode, killing everything in her way, doesn't care that she may be killing or robbing others, she seems to enjoy it. only other people in the gang who enjoys doing those things are dutch when he becomes crazy and micah. she doesn't really want much of anything besides revenge and money, revenge being a stupid thing to seek as given by the message of the game, but oh wait she can just defy it and get revenge anyways and everybody lives happily ever after. and she only cares about money after killing the one fat guy who may have killed her husband, may have because I am not sure we got definite confirmation of it. hmm~, what were we talking about again? oh right, given the similarities between sadie, crazy dutch and micah, it surprises me that she isn't part of them. they want more or less the same thing, that being money. all three are perfectly fine and may even be enjoying the fact that they go on huge murder sprees and doing bad things for the sake of being bad. they all don't seem to really care about their lives, just their survival, and wouldn't mind dying too much should it come around. I have *some* reasons why they may have ultimately decided against putting sadie adler on team evil, but just the mere mention of them may start a war so no thank you~
This is a long reply, sorry. (If you don't want to read it, just don't. Don't say "I ain't reading all that". 😂) Dutch actually commented about Sadie in Shady Belle. "A few more of her and we can take over the world. *Chuckles" . Arthur replied "a few more like her and it'll be the end of the world". Imo, Dutch just never wanted her involved right away because she was still a woman. The women stayed behind in camp. I think Dutch outside of us knowing, put Sadie in charge to watch the camp. Only until Sadie started taking charge when Dutch and the others were gone on an island, Dutch realized how important she can be. But we never see him care enough to talk to her personally about anything because he just does other things. Arthur is the one that checks up on Sadie since we are the players, it gives us more insight. As for Micah, I'm surprised there wasn't any conversation of her yelling at Micah for burning down her house. It was really Micah's fault that her home was destroyed. She was definitely scared of Micah when he found her, but that was because she was abused by O'Driscolls and didn't know who to trust, especially since Micah was already acting like he wanted to do something. But Dutch and Arthur tells Micah that Sadie has that look in her that she is wild. I think they just never interacted because the writer couldn't figure out. But we can guess that they just didn't care enough to talk longer than a few seconds. Some characters just stick away from each other and they were that.
Ya know her and Abigail hit it off really well in certain Camp encounters. Abigail probably sees Sadie as like a sister in a way as she was also dealt a bad hand in life and had to whore herself to make any ins-meat.Sadie saw her husband killed right in front of her and it stuck with her for the entire game. That experience hardened her up and made her basically ruthless over time. And my god her temper was really bad and she was how you put it a time bomb.
*Its because Sadie is the younger version of Arthur....Hosea said on a mission to Charles that Arthur was a more hot headed fellow when he was younger plus she was just to emotional...the whole reason why John went through everything he did in rdr1 was because of Sadie...if she never purposely came back to John's life to do bounty hunting missions and hyped him up to go after Micah for a revenge mission the one thing Arthur was against and told John was a fools game the Pinkertons would had never had traced John's whereabouts...plus Sadie knew John had a family but still her ego won over her...Plus society back then wasn't crazy on women going out doing things men would do, Sadie didn't have any missions until they really had to rely on her more towards the end when they lost more men and where at guarma, other than that Dutch kept her on the seat for a reason....*
A well-rounded character should have strengths and weaknesses, both psychologically and emotionally and she has both, but while Sadie's transformation into a formidable force is intriguing, some moments in her story arc are kind of outta pocket. I mean c'mon she's a badass i know but sometimes it's like, really? An average-sized woman killing three armed men twice her weight with just a knife? Hanging from a hot air balloon by just a rope with dozens of O'Driscolls shooting at her and not hitting her once? like, not even a glancing shot? that's just pure insanity. I kinda liked Sadie by the end, but up until then, and even then in some instances, she's just too trigger-happy and bloodthirsty, and this nature of hers in many occasions overshadows her likeable traits. That, plus the talent she has for getting into unnecessary trouble. She's probably the most unrealistic character in RDR 2, and that's saying a lot since Arthur himself is a one-man army, but at least in his case, the stuff he does caught up to him in the end (and then again, he's the protagonist). As for Sadie, she's probably living fine in South America by the time John's getting shot like a dog lol. She's the good old overpowered "Strong female character", but at least in her case, she has a likable personality and demeanor towards those she considers friends unlike people like abby from the last of us II for example. The only thing that really annoys me is her condescendence towards Arthur's skills and capabilities towards the end. I mean, he might be sick, but he is still the best gunner in the gang and has 20 years of experience behind him. A confrontation between her and Arthur would be extremely one-sided even while he was sick but she still insists in the idea that her taking point is the best course of action, and ends up gets proven wrong pretty quick, which to be honest felt kind of empty. She doesn't even aknowledge her mistake so it felt like that whole sequence was for nothing. Her character is good and the emotional rollercoaster and vengeance journey is on point. It adds some fundament to her character, and even though she's a bit over the top, you can't help but root for her to get her revenge and if only the writers had not not made her such a steriotypical "strong female character" on a surface level maybe more people would have seen that.
Yeah, I agree there it doesn't make any sense that she would be capable of killing people so recklessly without getting immediately shot by one of those three armed men, we all know she's the strong female character but some people want to deny how Mary-Sue like her character is, despite that she's still very intriguing. I will say that her 'Condescendance' Is more of an attempt to be a good friend, because she knows he's sick. He has Tuberculosis Which is a VERY strong disease, and by the end he's already weak enough to get killed by fat ol' Micah Bell. That's just being a good friend and looking out for someone you care about. Here is another thing that you should be more annoyed about; The fact that she, so easily was capable of handling herself with a gun..And there was no acknowledgement of her having any training in the story whatsoever. It wasn't even implied, I think that's what made my brain go 'Yeah, I think that's more of a Mary-Sue character than just the strong female secondary protagonist' For that last part I see nothing wrong with the critique. If they made her more of an adapting female character with traits of weakness (Physically.) And less of the strength, where you have to save her sometimes but other times she'll save you. It'd feel MUCH more balanced and it would make it far more realistic. All though, I do want to touch on something;Arthur is most definitely more unrealistic than Sadie, because- Well, Sadie is strong..Yet she's not consistently capable of taking on professional gunslingers, and entire armies by herself. She can take on a few armed men, or even multiple. But Arthur's done many many impossible things that she could never do even with how unrealistic she is.
@@factuallysomename i agree with your point about Arthur, but it's just as i said, he's the protagonist so the developers have to give some liberty to the player, if it was a movie i think Arthur would do far less in terms of "action hero type stuff" and also, most of what he did eventually came back to bite him in the ass by the end. Beyond that, i just think she should acknowledge Arthur would have a far better time handling those pinkertons than her in spite of his sickness. it's not like her better health is going to save her from a bullet. And even though he was weak enough Micah could compete with him, despite being a rat we have to acknowledge how dangerous Micah actually is. He's definitely the second or close third best gunslinger/shooter in the gang seeing how even john was overwhelmed by his rapid gunfire in the end of the epilogue.
@@LuizGontijo10 Yes but that was hand to hand combat, Javier knocked him down in one punch- So did Charles etc. He doesn't have many strength feats which help him out in that regard. Being the protagonist, I generally don't believe excuses him for being extremely unrealistic in comparison to Sadie. And yeah- He would have a better time but that was a more kind gesture which Sadie tried to make. Despite her not acknowledging his overall strength being above hers I still think it was just an act of kindness.
I agree with almost everything. But sadie probably knows her way with the gun because she lived in ambarino. Pretty wild area. Where hunting is essential to survive.
If duch was the one who died instead of Hosea I think Sadi, Arthur and Hosea would be come the top members and as Arthur passes and Hosea dies she would have become the leader and led them into a new life most likely all three would have kicked out micha and the gang probably would have cleaned up a bit Sadi most likely would have hunted down colm and delt with them
When she plunged that knife into those men at the mansion I got the feeling she was totally uncontrollable, Dutch and Micah were smart to stay out of her way.
sadie was too smart to know if dutch would've tried taken advantage of her. even if blinded by grief and vengeance, she says herself that she and her late husband did their share of chores, she wasn't just a housewife but she already was adapted to living a tougher life. she's got a good moral compass given how the story plays out and even if her darkest moments I don't think dutch's charm would've ever worked on her. she probably could see right through dutch at some point but chose to say nothing for the time being until it was clear when everyone else could see.
Great video the reason dutch brought Sadie to see colm swing was because it was only right and 3 is a crowd as it is his men killed her husband and she did blame colm also I do not think they saw her as a threat but definitely would have tiptoed around her if we saw more interactions especially micah! He is the real cowpoke
Actually as I recall it was Sadie who told Dutch about Cole hanging. She approached Arthur. And then said she was going to tell Dutch. She wanted to make sure he didn’t escape, this time.
Sadie joining the gang was certainly a curveball I didn’t see coming. If anything, I thought she, like Kieran, would see the Van Der Linde gang as not too different from the O’Driscolls, and the more she saw of their actions, the more she would hate them. Boy was I wrong.
could you cover the strange men from the mission "i know you" the mission does take place in part 1 but he does make another appearance or so in part 2
Now go play Rain World and play Artificer's campaign. She is also fueled by hatred and rage towards a specific group after the brutal killing of her family.
Arthur, Sadie hosea, charles, and bill are the ones that really interest me. Bill, for all the hell he's given, was one of the only ones with solid plans that paid off without stupid trouble.
Honestly, one of the overlooked flaws in Dutch is his misogyny. He didn't use Sadie because she wasn't a guy. Look at how disposable Susan, Molly, and Abigail were to him.
Dutch is a lot of things however he isn't dumb. There is nothing more dangerous than a woman scorned Sadie doesn't want to be an outlaw so dutch doesn't make her one however she is someone who hates colm just as much and even more than he does which is why he brings her with him because he knows damn well if anyone is going to ensure colm dies it is Sadie. He also brings Arthur too because Arthur is one of the few people who can actually temper her blind rage and grief better than him and anyone else in the gang
If dutch took advantage of sadie she would kill him and john and arthur and most definitely charles the absolute powerhouse would have joined her side upon realising all dutch did to them.
After Micah got her home burned down after discovering her Dutch I think was scared shitless of her after Rhodes interaction quite frankly a woman like Sadie stay on her good side like Arthur
Would've been split by the community, A large portion of the player base would not have brought it because she's greatly disliked by people, including me
I'm not so sure she was so pure before the van der lind gang found her. She may have always been a fighter. Who knows exactly who she was before the story. Doubt she was an outlaw, but maybe a pioneer or an explorer.
what about the story makes you think Micah is devoted to anyone except himself ? he's just a good actor he's only pretending to be devoted to Dutch or maybe I can't see it because I hate the character so much but he is nothing but a self-centered psychopath
Because she was driven by revenge, not logic. Dutch had this same issue regarding the O’Driscoll’s but he didn’t see it because he was half insane. Later on when she comes to John to help with bounty missions she has a more levelheaded approach to her vengeance. But she STILL managed to almost get herself killed by Micah. Lol. .
Im hoping RDR 3 is all about Sadie's journey. Becoming the badass bounty hunter that takes no shit from anyone. The big twist would be if you can put the gun down at the end of her journey and heal, she lives. Alone most likely, but lives. If you give into the vengeance, you not only die but gleefully charges into the breach and kills some of the bigger bads out there as a final FU to the whole system.
I would love it if RDR3 has Sadie as the main character. A female protagonist, and one as awesome as Sadie, would be a great move for the franchise. And she's definitely got enough baggage to carry the whole "conflicted outlaw" thing that they did so well previously.
If Hollywood wrote her, I will not take her seriously. But here is why she works. She is a grieving widow. She lost everything. And in that situation, she has the bloodlust of kill bill herself. Her wrath made her the embodiment of hatred, where nothing can stop her. And the reason Dutch cannot control her, is because she only join, to kill her husband killer gang. And for her, it like John wick, don’t kill someone love one. And I can relate to her.
Honestly, I don't think Dutch was being duplicitous about the O'Driscoll mission. Sadie, Arthur, and himself were the three who had suffered by far the most at Colm's hand and each of them deserved to watch him hang. Dutch had been warming up to the idea of revenge at this point and I think he genuinely took those two out of a sense of shared pain.
What do you think of Sadie? Why do you think Dutch didn't pay that much attention to her?
Who else do you want to talk about? Any theories you want to share or touch on?
She is cool
I'd like her kill Micah earlier, she would save the entire gang, and Dutch wouldn't snap the way he did, even Hosea would be alive... She's the boss anyway, she got more guts than all other gangs together.
I think Sadie is a well written, flawed character. She lost everything she ever cared about and has the right to be the vengeful, ticking time bomb she is. I know a lot of people think she's to aggressive or too wild, but that's why I like her/a well written reaction.
She even says it herself. "They turned me into a monster."
She is fearless, faithful, and just badazz, good with a gun and a knife.
Just a great character to me.
Micah is a coward he isn't messing with a woman driven by revenge and grief
Micah wasn't afraid of Sadie. He doesn't talk much to the camp members. But dutch
@@earnem4175 the whole time he’s either insulting camp members or hitting on someone. He talks a lot in camp but it’s easy to miss. There are several interactions with other camp members and Micah, but there was never one where he talked to Sadie.
Sadie a woman that lost everything that she cared about. Her home, her husband. Her anger and her vengence for revenge is understanable.
@yigit-nh2vnyeah she was the reason John died
sadie got her revenge and didn’t faced any consequences . what a story telling🤡
Jack Marston seeing his whole family die and a body holding its severed head at 3 years old:
Sorry that’s anikan
It also has to do with Arthur too because Arthur tried so hard to make sure that John and his family survived and Arthur was basically her best friend
@@theoutsiderjess1869 I like that read, I hope Jack got to hang out a bit with Aunty Sadie.
You're one of the few players who actually gets it. It's sad to see irl people fall for Dutch's song and dance.
And if you notice he always seems to show up and disappear right before the Pinkerton agents come
Very good point
"You're a time bomb, tick tick ticking... And I have no intention of being around for the 'boom'".
I wish he had followed his own advice. Watching a man stare out at the sun and taking his last breath always gets to me
Sadie was one of the few Dutch feared because she can stand up for herself
Most mentally stable western person:
Dutch never fails to make me laugh in that scene
💥
💥 DIE 💥
_"Ok, let's go."_
DIE 💥 DIE
💥
had me rolling lmfao
And she was usable as someone who can shoot with anger
Sadie is my favorite side character, you know when you ride with her on a mission you better bring xtra ammo, there will be lots of gunplay..lol
She went from mild mannered widow to badass gunslinger.
I like to imagine that dutch is actually afraid of Sadie because of her explosive anger issues
Got a whole lot of love for Mrs Tacitus Kilgore
1:48 I put Arthur in that exact estate boss hat and shotgun coat combo but the colors weren't exact matches and it drove me crazy. Anyway, I've always thought Sadie was the one who found out that Colm was going to hang in San Denis and she told Dutch, and therefore Dutch didn't even choose to take her so much as accept the inevitability of her being there.
One of the most breathtaking scenes in the entire game is when your in the hot air balloon and you break through the clouds. Wish we could fly them around more, it was pretty fun.
then Sadie attracts the attention of the O'driscolls and gets the hot weather balloon guy killed. shit was stupid
He didn't because he couldn't. A guy like Dutch looks at people like horses, so he knows which ones are too wild to be broken.
I think Dutch recognised she was too close to Arthur to ever really betray him
Personally, I think Dutch kept her around because he thought she's frail and weak.
I think Sadie and her husband were already outlaws. They’re in a part of the game that never sees summer, claiming to be “farmers”. Come on!!!
Snow farming😂
I think that you're possibly overthinking it. Dutch didn't bring Sadie. He merely realized that he wouldn't be able to stop her. Dutch understood the spirit of vengeance that possessed her. It was the same spirit that possessed him when Colm killed Annabelle, the same spirit that compelled him to stand in the town square of a city where both the law and the mob want him dead.
I honestly don't understand why Sadie was ignored for most of the game.
I saw the title and for a split second I was a bit concerned 😅
We both had that concern for a split second 💀
That's a wild title, man.
First reaction to the question: "He may be bad but he ain't Micah"
It's a wonder she wasn't tasked with retrieving the Blackwater money while in Chapter 3. It was perfect, no one would have suspected anything with her nosing around. I don't think it would have saved Sean, but maybe Hosea wouldn't have planned the bank robbery.
I think Dutch knew that if he wronged Sadie , she would have ended Dutch without a second thought... bottom line , Dutch was secretly scared of Sadie.
I don't believe this shit at all.
I don't think she could end him but probably cause damage ,more specifically his image of "messiash"
@@BullyMaguireTheAbsolute Of course she could. Anyone in the gang could kill anyone else in the gang, they sleep in the same camp.
Rockstar shouldve made a sadie dlc expansion and they wanted to utilize her character more as we can see it show throughout the story.
Black Belle would’ve been a perfect member for the gang, and her and Sadie would’ve made a strong female dynamic duo.
Good job taking care of your Arthur Man you can tell the difference between Healthy Arthur ( when you can make him) and Homeless Amaciated base clothes Arthur
He had level 100 beard for half the video
I've always thought of Sadie as an honorable outlaw, someone who is willing to help people, but still holds the anger from losing her husband and tends to let loose sometimes. Overall really liked her character and interactions with Arthur in particular.
Sadie is a strong female character done right. I love her character so much because she shows weakness but she's also so realistic. She's an amazing character.
She is a great character.
Went from mild mannered grieving widow to badass gunslinger.
@@themolasser9110only miss grimshaw for me , cause karen is the modern type feminist mindset
Sadie deserved her own DLC
She and Charles would have made a great epilogue-epilogue
I can see it bridging the events of RDR2 and RDR1
No she doesn't. She's an awfully written character
once had a guy so lost in the sauce he tried to argue this character was a mary sue. she doesn't do anything till fucking chapter 3-4 😭
She was a charity case of the gang. Purely there for the woke mob to have their supergirl. Shes a joke compared to bonnie and Abigail
I think her keeping the pure memories is what keeps her from reaching that breaking point.
I love Sadie but don't believe most people like her much
She is my favorite side character, you know if you ride with her on a mission there will be a lot of gunplay..lol
Shes fearless, faithful, and just badass.
i feel like shes one of peoples favourites, she’s definitely one of mine
I’m still pissed we never got a Sadie DLC. Always loved when she was around and her character.
I think Dutch, if he truly loved Annabelle, could sympathize with Sadie.
And A lot of people often say that Sadie is the worst written character..
Yeah she literally only exists so that not every woman in the gang is washing clothes or prostituting 😂. Remove her from the game and nothing is lost
If only Rockstar saw the full potential in this game and kept adding more content and updates, like they do with GTAV.
gtav hasnt seen a content update in YEARS gta online only gets updated because its the game that funds their development projects
Dutch actually commented about Sadie in Shady Belle.
Also the fact that Sadie has a similar hate for the O'driscolls with Dutch
It wasn't even implied, I think that's what made my brain go 'Yeah, I think that's more of a Mary-Sue character than just the strong female secondary protagonist'
For that last part I see nothing wrong with the critique.
@@factuallysomename yeah, you're right. thanks for showing your point of view
I agree with almost everything. But sadie probably knows her way with the gun because she lived in ambarino. Pretty wild area. Where hunting is essential to survive.
If duch was the one who died instead of Hosea I think
Sadi, Arthur and Hosea would be come the top members and as Arthur passes and Hosea dies she would have become the leader and led them into a new life most likely all three would have kicked out micha and the gang probably would have cleaned up a bit
Sadi most likely would have hunted down colm and delt with them
You forgot Grimshaw is one of the oldest members in the gang, she'd be the female leader for the gang before Sadie.
When she plunged that knife into those men at the mansion I got the feeling she was totally uncontrollable, Dutch and Micah were smart to stay out of her way.
Dutch could have sent Sadie and Trewlawny, posing as a married couple, to get the Blackwater money... game over
Blackwater is crawling with Pinkertons tho. The moment they dig up that money, the game would be up...
sadie was too smart to know if dutch would've tried taken advantage of her. even if blinded by grief and vengeance, she says herself that she and her late husband did their share of chores, she wasn't just a housewife but she already was adapted to living a tougher life. she's got a good moral compass given how the story plays out and even if her darkest moments I don't think dutch's charm would've ever worked on her. she probably could see right through dutch at some point but chose to say nothing for the time being until it was clear when everyone else could see.
A Sadie DLC would be awesome, or even her own game.
But I doubt it would happen tbh.
Maybe in 10-20 years they'll get around to it.. haha
What else is there to Sadie to be honest we seen everything that's why she will never have her own game but dlc would be cool

Saddie: You 3 idiots really brought guns to a knife fight?
You know what that title looks like?
Actually as I recall it was Sadie who told Dutch about Cole hanging. She approached Arthur. And then said she was going to tell Dutch. She wanted to make sure he didn’t escape, this time.
I wish we could have played as Sadie after Arthur died instead of John.
Sadie joining the gang was certainly a curveball I didn’t see coming. If anything, I thought she, like Kieran, would see the Van Der Linde gang as not too different from the O’Driscolls, and the more she saw of their actions, the more she would hate them. Boy was I wrong.
0:40 No, she's not. 😁
This is a wild video title, ngl.
could you cover the strange men from the mission "i know you" the mission does take place in part 1 but he does make another appearance or so in part 2
One of the best characters rockstar has ever created. There’s a reason why she’s the cover art for the first disk.
Now go play Rain World and play Artificer's campaign. She is also fueled by hatred and rage towards a specific group after the brutal killing of her family.

Sadie? 🤠
SADIE 😲
sadie… 😧
Arthur, Sadie hosea, charles, and bill are the ones that really interest me. Bill, for all the hell he's given, was one of the only ones with solid plans that paid off without stupid trouble.
Honestly, one of the overlooked flaws in Dutch is his misogyny. He didn't use Sadie because she wasn't a guy. Look at how disposable Susan, Molly, and Abigail were to him.
Dutch was reluctant on shooting Molly
1:39 ain't gon lie i was like BAABBEEE NOOOO!!
Realistic answer, she was putting into the game at the last second for esg ratings
She cares for Arthur John and Charles the most
After Micah got her home burned down after discovering her Dutch I think was scared shitless of her after Rhodes interaction quite frankly a woman like Sadie stay on her good side like Arthur
Bigger question is why Rockstar didn't make a Sadie DLC.
😔….Because GTA Online
Would've been split by the community, A large portion of the player base would not have brought it because she's greatly disliked by people, including me
I love her Bounty Hunter outfit.
I'm not so sure she was so pure before the van der lind gang found her. She may have always been a fighter. Who knows exactly who she was before the story. Doubt she was an outlaw, but maybe a pioneer or an explorer.
Dutch and micah did not see her as a threat and its easy to manipilate her she lose her temper and becomes unbalanced way to easy
what about the story makes you think Micah is devoted to anyone except himself ? he's just a good actor he's only pretending to be devoted to Dutch or maybe I can't see it because I hate the character so much but he is nothing but a self-centered psychopath
Lol. .
To be fair it was Micah that burned down Sadie's house
If I could've chosen members to gang with, Sadie'd be one of 'em. ✊
You really need to change that title
Honestly, I don't think Dutch was being duplicitous about the O'Driscoll mission. Sadie, Arthur, and himself were the three who had suffered by far the most at Colm's hand and each of them deserved to watch him hang. Dutch had been warming up to the idea of revenge at this point and I think he genuinely took those two out of a sense of shared pain.
In Red dead Redemption 2 online, her behaviour is same but tamer thanks to her husband.
After her husband died, she switched back while became worse.
Doesn’t make any sense why the gang didn’t get her to go get the money in black water as the pinkertons and law didn’t know het
