Great tutorial. Had my car a couple days and found this to be extremely helpful. Wish all Toyota dealers would use your video for a rool to train all sales personnel. Our 2 sales people knew nothing about the set ups of a RAV 4 safety features or apple screen.

Good job done there! I was a total stranger in my own RAV4 2023 car for the past few weeks ...I was able to connect the phone to it and play on my phone but now after this video I can boldly say i just bought the car today and actually owned the car. thank you Brian from today I will take charge. Excellent info session. I've been driving mine for a few days now clueless. I'll go out and play with buttons now, specifically, I need to set the time. It's 5 hours off. Then change to digital mode. Thanks for that bit! I like to see the speed I'm going in numbers.

Hi Brian, thank you for your tutorials. I bought a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium two days ago. The salesman did a good job of explaining the buttons and settings but it was rather overwhelming at the time. The last car I bought was a 2005 Camry LE so this is all new to me. One example is the Hold button which will help in the Costco gas lines 😊

Brian, I just bought a 2024 RAV4 XLE Premium, and I didn't know enough to ask any questions. My last car was a 2008 Saturn Aura XE - so it's been 16 years since I've had a new car! One thing i cannot find is if you can turn on multi-information display when engine is off on 2023 rav4. Just dont want to waste gas or the battery while learning everything in the menu settings. Thanks again
You can but must use battery. Please select the chapter “accessory mode & ignition”
Great video very helpful. We have a 2020 XSE Hybrid AWD and the only thing I can't find is the readout of all 4 tires PSI. Maybe they added it to new ones but it's an annoying oversight on a car with otherwise all the modern tech.

Good tutorial. To improve it, you could get into the "Auto" climate mode which is quite smart about what everything should be set to, and so that smart flow button will be set too because the car will automatically determine if there are people sitting in the back seat or the passenger side of the front seat. It will also automatically turn on recirculate the air if it is very hot outside and slow the fan speed until the A/C is really blowing cool air.

You can connect 2 but only one will be completely connected at a time
f you could get your hands on a prime and do the extra buttons. for me at least, I would love to do more stuff on the cruce control etc, and even a demo cuz it is new for me and hopefully my Toyota should arrive in ~2 months
I got a rav 4 awd hse for Xmas 2023, the dash looks nothing like the you tube post, I’m in Aust so that is one difference. I haven’t got the radio, there is the media panel in the middle ? Lots of other diffs, too many to mention !

Most of his tutorial pertain to my 2024 rav as well. Thanks again. . My question is when I open my driver side with my FOB in my pocket, my passenger doors do not open. I have to manually unlock their doors from the inside. Is there a way to unlock their doors at the same time???????
Yes.
Menu>settings>customize vehicle>door lock settings>unlock all doors

The dual fast charger is an option you can buy from dealer but usually plugs into 12v round plug. You may have two fast chargers inside your center console.

1. Can you connect a passenger’s phone to listen to their music?
2. More general question- what can I do to improve the MPG? Mine has decreased a bit and I’m not sure what things I could/should be doing to be more fuel efficient.

1. Yes, they can either plug into the USB, or make a separate Bluetooth connection. Your Bluetooth must be turned off of your phone for the car to do this. Because your car will always favor you.
2. If you live anywhere that gets cold in winter, that’s the main reason. The fuel quality goes down, and the cars work harder to warm themselves for you. But these work for me:
•proper tire air pressure (checked monthly)
•new engine air filter yearly
•use the proper fuel for the car (regular 87 for most Toyota cars)
•oil changes every 5k miles or 6mo (whichever first) with the proper oil.
________________________
•no harsh acceleration
•no harsh braking
•keep RPMs below 4,000 often
•no idling
•read articles on “hyper miling”
*I break the bottom rules all the time because I like to enjoy my vehicle. I never break the top rules. But if you’re in winter like me, mpg will go down. Especially if you remote start your vehicle like I do. Hope this helps you

I ordered a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Edge 2023. Yet can't find reviews or video information on the 2023 model...? And still waiting for it many months later. I think the Edge model is a Australia exclusive?
I will play with it and try to find it. But when it is night time my google maps remain super bright like it is during the day. I just got my car and in my pervious car, (Didn't have Android auto so I had to buy a device that allowed me to use Android auto in my 2019 CHR. ) But at night my screen color would change to night mode automatically. I don't know if that's a Google maps thing or infotainment thing. But I never had to change it before. Even in cars I rented.
Great job on the video…. I have a deposit down on a RAV4 Prime. In reading it shows that it has on demand AWD…. Which button turns this on?…. Or is this a dif between a standard hybrid and the prime?
Thank you! Your AWD comes on when the car determines it needs it, e.g. hard throttle, up hill, bad weather, sharp turns.

Hi Hal, thank you. The battery regenerates on its own when you decelerate and when you drive at higher speeds. The car does it all for you in the background.

Is there a way to organize your favorite Sirius or FM stations so that when you use the arrow buttons on the right side of the steering wheel it changes the stations to a user selected order?
You should be able to save them as favorites in order preferred

@duanechrismer8818 I believe you can even push and hold to drag the stations but I haven’t tried this yet. Otherwise you would simply tune to the station, tap the heart button, but do this in order of stations the way you want them to appear

You’re welcome. Yes if the car has the cloud based nav, you’ll get a trial for free then after that is up, you can opt in. I actually really like the cloud based nav. I enjoy the east to see bird eye view map.

The compass in mirror is very rare on Toyotas lately. Your navigation app of choice will have a compass on it

How to bypass experience drive connect splash screen
I love everything but the infotainment system. For someone who is only 5'2" the screen impedes my view when driving even with my driver's seat elevated as high as it will go. They should have placed it into the dashboard. I love everything else, I just wish maybe they gave you the ability to lower it, or fold it down or something! Anyone else having this problem? Is there anyway I can have Toyota switch the screen to a smaller one that I can actually see over?
