I was adopted from Poland and my paternal grandmother was from Lithuania. My Lithuanian ancestors also fought against the Crusaders.

Liels paldies (as the Lstvians would say Thanks) for this podcast casting light on the early Western conquest project. It's often said that victors rewrite history (- or delete what is not in their favor). As in the case of the Crusades launched against Finland (12th - 13th century) there is a puzzling blank about what really happened to the native populations during forced conversions, retributions and seizures of land and property. As regards Latvia, some popular sources suggest for instance that the Livonians (in the west of the country) put up stiff resistance against the invaders, but were largely decimated. The Brothers of the Sword in turn appropriated the name of the subjugated and/or deleted population..

Poland has had a rough history when you dig into history. Certainly did not look like modern Poland on the map since borders changed so much, depending on the latest invader.

yes, the Baltic crusades and in the Balkans. I'm not too sure about just how much they crusaded in the Holy lAnd.

I think Slavic people in general suffered the most. I forgot to add that they fought both crusaders and jihadists at the same time...

What created Ruthina? Who were the Rusins? [ not Russians]
What was the roll of the Greek Catholic Church?

Rus refers to the east slav-scandinsvian mix that dominated cities like Novgorod, Smolensk, and Kiev.

It belongs to Jesus Christ. Neo-paganism means death as we have seen in the biggest neo-pagan project of recent time- the Third Reich. Better convert from your sins!

Teutonic knights? Their name is "Deutscher Ritterorden", German knights
order is the correct translation! They were military monks like
the Hospitalers and the Templars, but different from them not subject
to the pope, but to the emperor of what was the "Holy Roman empire
of German nation". Their monastic order was nearly identical to the one of the
    Templars.
Who are the Teutons? The Teutons were a Germanic tribe who before
Cesar's time invaded northern Italy and were beaten. Since then there
is no news about them! Heaven knows why English-speaking literature
speaks of the Teutonic kights. The German knights order was founded
during the 3rd crusade in Accra, and existed for centuries. But the
Teutons appeared before Cesar, and then were never heard of again!
