I’ve been feeling lost and disconnected the last two months or so. I used to be an avid photographer and adventurer but I haven’t been motivated. I haven’t wanted to do what I used to. Letting go is the key to rejuvenation. Happiness as a state of mind can shine in little moments. This video made me cry. You are doing what you love. That is your happiness. It helped me see what I’ve been missing. Thanks Alex. You are an inspiration.
Alex Strohl I went to shoot at one of my favorite places yesterday evening and was utterly alone in blue hour. Hearing the wind and feeling the frost on my nose. I shot some photos I’m really proud of. Thank you❄️💙
Got a mini heart shock when I saw “Slovenia” in my recommended... thank you so much! Good job traversing the alpine part of our country in its entirety :) Lp vsem Slovencem 🇸🇮
Unreal! Very inspiring. Has been to Slovenia twice and realized that there are more and more .. there are unrealistic landscapes. Thanks for the inspiration!
An avid IG fan for a year but somehow didn't know you're on UA-cam til this, wow. Alex, your photos relax me & improve every day & my mindset, opening my eyes to the beautiful world I'll never see in person... thank you. Congrats on the Juliana!!!👏👍🙌⭐🎉 Spectacular! Since retiring lady year, I've found, like you, that my now-daily walking by the river & parks I live near has completely changed my health & mind, & seeing everything around me with no limits or rush❤️
I've jumped into the river at the exact same place you did. It was in August 2019. I can 100% confirm that it was cold as hell and I got sick afterwards haha. Still worth it! Such a great place to be
After watching one or two of your videos I am your fan. Awesome work . And the best thing I like about you is that you explore the unexplored not go to the same old places where everyone goes.
Thank you for opening my eyes to a the beautiful Julian Alps. I wish I could see more encouragemen towards good practices like water purification, filtration and reusable bottles in quality videos like yours. I wish you many more beautiful adventures to come. I've subscribed myself 😊
Great video! This really captures the essence of hiking, well done! And thank for trying out our new AeroPress Go on your walk. Coffee always tastes great outdoors!
J'ai trouvé que c'était un très joli film Alex ! ça fait du bien de voir quelqu'un qui transmet bien le plaisir de la marche. Bon courage pour tes futurs projets !
Fantastic walk A;ex. As they say awe is good for us as is the old walking. I always consider that fact there is never silence only slowd-downess. Beatiful though with very inspiring and soothing thoughts. Thank you. Mark
Slovenia is a country fairytail when it comes to alps , the rivers are amazingly clean the waterfals makes it complete . I would be so happy living in a smal lodge nothing else needed then silence and beauty . Slovenians are keeping their family traditions forming their identity you dont need a lot to be happy visit the alps and you wil know what i mean
Oooooh buddy. I’m so stoked about this, you guys did an awesome job filming. What an incredible journey, I’m just mad this film wasn’t an hour long haha.
I love this video not only because I'ts about my country but I'ts also amazingly edited soundtracks are awesome and I'ts put together very well. Pozdrav!
Amazing video man! Had almost the same thoughts on my last trip to Slovakia, High Tatras. Walking, only one step forward but keeping on going has a really metaphorical aspect to it.
Dudeee this is fire🔥. I’m a young dude from Slovenia, Ljubljana and I’m also a photographer. I would absolutely love to go on a hike with you or just join on an adventure. If this is in anyway possible for you, it would be awsome. Great content, i love watching everything you put out.
@@ka9asd995youtube I would suggest mountains, rivers and caves, all of which are abundant in the NW/W/SW part of our country. Julian alps, Soča river valley, Rakov škocjan for starters. For less obvious locations I suggest reading the map and going for an unpopulated valley with a stream in it, you're bound to find a canyon, waterfalls, etc. Quality hiking shoes are a must.
Hi! Is that true there is forbidden the wild camping? I'm checking this loop hike and I also didn't see much mountain summiting in this trail. But of corse can be very nice. So there is no way to do thrue hike and camp like on Appalachian trail?
Any tips on using those alpine shelters? I've seen it recommended on other hikes around the world and always wanted to try it out, but have no idea where to start. That Bivak II view looks enticing.
You have to plan the hike wery good... they are also not meant for "tourism" just too go sleep in them for free thats why they are called shelers, they are there if you get in a bad weather or night catches you.... but if you want to sleep in one you have to have time to get to them early if they are full so you can hike down in the daylight....
What do the options for accommodations look like? Is it just staying in fancy hotels in each of the towns? That's not as appealing.. It appears that most of the alpine huts are higher up in the mountains.
You can live in Slovenia and never get bored of seeing it all. Thank you for highlighting this new trail. We love our mountains and are fond of our lower lands! This video is like poetry. Thank you from Slovenija p.s. the narrative reminded me of a local photographer if anyone is "hungry" for more pictures facebook.com/lavricmatevz/
Camping in the wild is technically not allowed and is prohibited around huts and on private property (unless you have the owner's permission) but if you are walking the slovenian mountain trail you will be able to find a place to camp from time to time. Having worked in a hut, we usually directed people who wanted to camp a few hundred meters away from the hut. However, I wouldn't count on that happening around most huts and you would be really lucky to have good enough weather for a prolonged period of time anyway. There's also bivaks but you can find those only on higher altitudes. Hope any of that helps :)
hey man, i just finished the juliana in october. was wondering - where did you guys go from log pod - north over the pass to kranjska gora? or to cave del predil and then walk along the road to tarvisio?
My heart stopped seeing "Slovenia" On UA-cam... It's a tiny dot on the world map and yet it had so much to offer (Pozdravljeni iz Slovenije 😂🇸🇮)
