Jeff, for this film you should definitely get an award in the category of best shot, edited and narrated hiking youtube movie in 2024! You are doing an amazing job. Greetings from Poland.
I conquered Mt Triglav at the end of June this year & it was the first peak I ever climbed in Europe. What made my journey in Slovenia memorable is it never cross my mind to come to this beautiful country. To be honest, Slovenia nature is best to keep as secret 🤫 because I believe it is one of the hidden gem in Europe.
It may be the only national park, but there are also 4 regional parks, and plenty of natural parks in Slovenia. And all together 37% of the surface is Slovenia is protected nature. Considering also that forests are covering 60% of the state and forest management in Slovenia is sustainable. As such, you can basically say that whole Slovenia is a large natural park.
Thank you for looking up the park rules before going on the hike. Most people think they are allowed everything and fly drones wherever they want and disturb nature. And thank you for the great video about the trails that I love.
Nice, just one remark: at 10:30 you visited mountain hut called 'Dom Valentina Staniča', not just 'Valentina'. Dr. Valentin Stanič was famous alpinist who first climbed Watzman in Gemany and second to climb Grossglockner in Austria (after setting the rout for first ascend)
i went up and down west to east on those trails many times,. nowadays im much older and out of shape to redo those , but your exquisit filming is bringing so much joy to my heart . thank you!
Jeff, Audrée - thank you so much for what you do. You inspire thousands of people with your amazing content. Including me. I am clawing my way back to running, after having to pause for 5 years. I did run an Ultra (60km) before and now i am back to being happy about 30 km/week. You inspire me to keep going, even though my goals seem so far away right now. With every videoi see, i tell myself that i am gonna run those amazing trails myself one day. so again, thank you.
Wonderful documentary, I love that you take us on your adventures and that you tell us so much about all the places you visit. Beautifully filmed and edited. Thanks!
Mr. Pelletier, thank you very much for your astonishing videos - i hiked these routes before but somehow you don't see the beauty when you are on them, they seem more beautiful in your videos 😀 anyway, wish you all the best 👍💪
Wow, only 9 minutes in but already blown away. thank you for another amazing adventure. Adding this to the bucket list! Audrée saying “don’t show this to my mom, ok”. Definitely had me going as it’s so relatable. Love your content guys!
Amazing terrain there, just mind blowing. My mom was born in Slovenia in a small village west of Ljubljana. One day I’ll get there and I’ll put Triglav summit on my agenda, for sure!
There was a glacier on Triglav, you can find pictures of it online from the early 20th century. It was quite impressive compared to the snowy patch it is today.
I've run a lot in Slovenia (including the trails in your video) and have struggled with the water issue too. There really is no water up high at all. I find Gaia is quite reliable for marking water sources in general. I have a memory of being so dehydrated and desperate running back into Bovec off the top of Rombon - there's a water fountain in the village that I think I pretty much dived into.
Je vous ai découvert il y a à peine 4 jours et je dévore vos vidéos à une vitesse folle!!! Vous êtes un super couple inspirant !!! Lâchez pas vos belles images et vos narratifs!!! -- Just found your channel 4 days ago and already seen a couple of videos. Awesome couple you are and keep up the good work on images and views that I will never be able to see in a lifetime!!!
Just awesome Jeff and Audrey! I visited Slovenia almost 20 years ago for a friend’s wedding, sadly climbing Triglav wasn’t on the itinerary but we did manage to drive around the Alps, eat bratwurst and sauerkraut (!) and spend time at Lake Bled. Seeing all these trails, and knowing there’s a massive thru hike just waiting there really has me hankering to go back one day… another addition to the bucket list *I’m never going to financially recover from this* 😂
Nice to see you guys enjoying my home country, if only we could meet to run in the Julian Alps together. Great film as always! :) PS: If you decide to do the Slovenian mountain trail, contact me. ;)
Dear Jeff and Audree, thank you kindly for a beautiful presentation of our country, specially the Triglav national park. As a Slovenian hiker/trail runner/ski moutaineer I feel very blessed to live in such a magnificent place. You are welcome to revisit any time. Maybe Kamnik-Savinja Alps or river Soča Valley. Our mountain traverse No. 1 navigates through those parts too. BTW did you guys get the official butt-spanking on the top of Triglav? We do it also to foreigners and they are all interested 🙃
Amazing run and total awe for the way you have been able to capture this impressive mountain ridges and views in what you call a 'technical' trail terrain which I found sometimes scary to watch just sitting in my chair. Wonderful !
Love your videos, Jeff! I watch them while I slowly churn away the meters on my indoor rower and they provide a welcome distraction from the repetitive nature of rowing. The scenery is breathtaking and your cinematography really brings these exotic locations to life. Keep up the good work and thanks!
A wonderful epic film Jeff. So beautiful. Thank you so much for creating and sharing this. Also love the bit when Audree mentions kids in 10 years time but we didn't get your response😊
Been waiting for this almost a year and UA-cam remembered to show it to me a month later in notifications :) Anyway, great film in the fantastic setting of the Julian Alps. I climbed Triglav for the 12th time just 2 weeks ago, so it was cool to watch this after refreshing my memory live there. I also climbed from Vrata valley but via the Tominškova Pot trail. In my opinion, if you are experienced hiker, ferrata set is not necessary on these trails, it just slows you down and becomes extra weight and eats up the backpack space outside of secured sections, so it was a good choice that you didn't bring it.
Merci beaucoup! Trail Candy for the eyes and the mind! Beautifully edited. Have a pleasant summer Jeff and Audrée. Wishes to Jeff's UA-cam followers as well.
Amazing filmwork, content. Before the climbing I was like "be nice to run there", the journey to the 1st hut changed that, I'll vicariously enjoy it through you guys.
Such a marvellous film. I watched this with my parents who loved it too and now understand my passion for trail running. Thank you for sharing your work
Such a spin out that I was there pretty much the same time on my bike... with a broken wrist, which is why I've swapped to running and found your video! crazy how the world turns, not to mention a Canadian on my trip knows you guys! Also, thanks for the geology notes! 🙂
so cool to see the pride in reaching the highest peak of Slovenia for all the citizens. i always wonder how many people in the region climb a highest peak, most frequently for me Mt Washington in NH. i imagine that number is very high in Slovenia!
Wonderful video 🎉❤. Thanks so much for the running, scenery and descriptions of the places you stay and what you are eating and drinking on the way. Awesome 🙌
Watching these video's is bad for me because I wanna do everything in every single one of these video's just looks and sounds like a dream!!! can't wait to see your next adventure
Another great video! Thanks for all the effort you two have been putting into the making of it. Watching it was really a nice event that started this weekend. 🙏
Fantastic. I signed up for a race a couple of days ago in the Triglav National Park at the end of August, this was a great preview of what to expect, and very helpful, but above all, at the perfect time! Keep it up Jeff and Audrée, you guys are super inspiring!
Jeff and Audrey, Well done on providing another beautiful narated and filmed adventure. I was curious about the specific time of the year like, month and days of the month this adventure was? I am sorry if you shared it. Maybe include it in the notes. Well done!
What a nice surprise. Exactly two weeks ago I booked my train ticket to Maribor to hike the Slovenia mountain trail in August. Your video increased my stoke for that adventure even more, but also showed me that I will definitely pack a via ferrata set:) and thumbs up for the Cockta Cola. I really enjoyed this one!
Phenomenal work yet again, your talent far exceeds your current reach, I'm sharing far and wide to be sure you get more of the credit you deserve. If you happen to have a link to the GPX you used for this route, please do share! Thank you again.

One thumbs up definitely is not enough for this cinematic masterpiece. Thanks for taking me along.
Thank you for respecting nature and park rules, greetings from Slovenia
Kind of made me proud.
We loved it there! Would love to go back one day 😊

yes! we were delighted to see that Slovenia is so GREEN!
As a fellow Slovenian and mountain lover I must say you guys did a great job. Really enjoyable to watch!
Thank you!
Another Masterpiece 🫶 i just love it!
Absolutely stunning 😮
Thank you for looking up the park rules before going on the hike. Most people think they are allowed everything and fly drones wherever they want and disturb nature. And thank you for the great video about the trails that I love.
What are you doing, Jeff?!? Exposing my largely hidden paradise in Europe...
This is one of the many reasons we are abandoning the car crash of the uk and coming to live in Slovenia 🇸🇮 ❤️
welcome :D
Thank you 🙏
Welcome!
Hey, you'are fit, no doubt, but your artistic side.....congreas!
@@markinabarki thank you.
Is it just me, sitting here with pop-corn enjoying this like it's the new hit from hollywood?
haha! 🍿

Sublime content. Every single time. That refuge sunrise worth the price of admission alone.
Thanks so much for the support as always!
Masterpiece of trekking
Awesome film! You two were in great shape to complete the route.
Wouldn’t be a Jeff Pelletier film without the most stunning scenery on earth 😅. Very cool adventure you documented here
Jeff always captures the best view 😊

I think this is the Prag way to mount triglav, I did it just a few weeks ago, so amazing to see it again!

Haha we didn’t date but now I’m having some regrets. Guess we’ll have to go back to get “baptized”
Welcome to our neck of the woods. Glad you've enjoyed it. The film is a masterpiece 🙏
Wonderful images! Those trails and mountains look like paradise.😊❤
The area of Pericnik waterfalls at 5:30
i'm running the 120k Julian Alps Trail from UTMB in september, after seeing this i'm definitely climbing the Triglav summit after the race !!
Amazing! Good luck 🙌
Goodluck luck with UTMB. Have a great race.
Brilliant film, Jeff. Slovenia is very high on my future destinatin list and this just confirms that.
What a rad track at 44:15. Definitely going to have it blasting in my ears on the next warm run...in a few months time. Its got a very playful feel.
Epic, you guys!! And a super-eclectic and well chosen soundtrack..
I like that yellow-shirted model that is running through most of your shots. Great video as always!
That’s me! I’m the model 😂
Amazing run and total awe for the way you have been able to capture this impressive mountain ridges and views in what you call a 'technical' trail terrain which I found sometimes scary to watch just sitting in my chair. Wonderful !

Such a stark difference between the grassy areas of those mountains and the lunar-like scree moonscape elsewhere.
