One of my other favorite parts, during the reprise of "38 Planes", when Beverly comes over the intercom, "Ladies and gentlemen, if you look out your windows, underneath all that rain is Maine. We just crossed the Canadian border, welcome back to the US of A!" The way she delivered that last line, goosebumps. The finale song, I was singing along with them.

Seriously? It's just a story set to music. The rhyming is awful.
I am pretty sure this is my new favorite musical … I saw it on Apple+ and it just blew me away. How they achieved what they did with a minimalistic set and a handful of actors was nothing short of complete genius!!!
I just wish I could buy a bluray or DVD of it.

Amazing!!!! Alice was my first Elphaba (and saw her another three times after that!). Unfortunately I missed her when I first saw Come From Away (understudy was incredible though!) but I did see her in the Show Must Go On concert and WOW!! She was incredible. Hope to see her tomorrow when I see the CFA again (28/01/22)🤞

I saw her yesterday, she was absolutely incredible - so get excited! Thought I’d get there and think the cast wouldn’t be to the standard of the broadway cast recording. Very happy to be wrong and happy to have had it as my first experience of west end theatre. 🥰🥰🥰
I watched the show on UA-cam first, the first song I broke down in tears thinking of all the people who lost their lives, and then I was cheering and screaming this song at the top of my lungs right along with Beverly. Seriously the best musical I have ever seen in my life! I really hope I'll get to see it live one day.

So far this is the best version of Me and the Sky, her riffs, the dynamic of singing this song, the vowels, the emotion, the whole performance is just magnificent!!!!!
This song is great, but the overall effect is better without the MTV shots. Doesn't matter how many times I hear this, I always suddenly break down when she starts singing about 9/11
Can’t wait to come to the rock for my first time on the 20th April. I’m so excited to see the show and the incredible cast. I’ve been a massive fan for years so can’t wait to see it live and be welcomed to the rock.

Beautiful performance. I saw this production back in October, having seen the tour in Seattle, and it’s fascinating seeing it in different places. Hope to see it in Australia next.
When the other voices come in gave me chills as always, and when she optioned up on the embellishment I actually whooped out loud 😆It’s cool that you left off the last word, as in the show she gets interrupted by a phone call.

I watched it LIVE at Phoenix Theatre on 19th Jan 2022 and they are the Original Casts there!! It’s so great to see them again here😭😭😭 I was too immersed in the experience… And that was my FIRST MUSICAL THEATRE EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFETIME IN THE UK…

I saw it in October too! Flew over from the states for a concert, caught this as a spur-of-the-moment thing coz it’s one of my favorite shows ever. Only it got cancelled the night I went! Luckily we could go the next day though 😆

She's played Elphaba and the keys are close (the wizard and I is in c major, me and sky is in C# major)

Alice's emotional range is just incredible. She did it in Wicked, taking us from happy and hopeful Elphaba in The Wizard and I to defiant Elphaba in Defying Gravity to desperate Elphaba in No Good Deed, but in this song she goes from sweet, hopeful little 8-year-old to veteran pilot to flat-out pissed off about "the one thing I loved more than ANYTHING was used as the BOMB" in five minutes. It's amazing.

I truly believe what made it so powerful was the stark set and a handful of actors completely transforming themselves to play all the parts. The play drew me in from the moment they started speaking - narrating. It was completely captivating.
