The Cranberries were a rock band from Ireland that started in Limerick in 1989. They originally called themselves The Cranberry Saw Us and had Niall Quinn as the singer, Noel Hogan as the guitarist, Mike Hogan as the bassist, and Fergal Lawler as the drummer. In 1990, Dolores O'Riordan replaced Quinn as the lead singer, and the band changed their name to The Cranberries. They described themselves as playing alternative rock, but they also mixed in elements of indie rock, jangle pop, dream pop, folk rock, post-punk, and pop rock into their music.

I remember being 12, not understanding English, thinking 'wow, i really love this music for some reason, i have no idea why', i became a huge fan. I'm 25 now, with a degree in music, and i'm feeling exactly the same while going through all of Cranberries' songs after 10 or so. There are so many nuances that makes Cranberries so special and unique.
I deeply connected to this album at the same age. I think it was perfect for channeling the emotional waves of puberty and early teenagehood (as it is for adulthood). So beautiful, quiet but strong.

This album came out while I was 14. This song in particular hit me hard. Delores went through more trauma than I could ever imagine. I'm thankful for the beautiful music she created from those horrible experiences.

The intro of this song is just beautiful, the way it starts slowly and continues to build, each section slightly more beautiful than the preceding segment. Dolores' voice gently fading in, so soft, so lovely. Almost like watching the sun rise, as nautical twilight gives way to the warmth and brilliance of the sun. That was Dolores.

I remember when i first heard the cranberries on MTV. The video was linger. I was in 5th or 6th grade. I was immediately entranced with her vocals and the melody of the band. I never heard this heavenly melodic sound i thought. I bragged at school about the band how cool they were but everyone just made fun of me but I didn't care I've been listening ever since now I have two daughters 10 and 12 and they love the Cranberries!!! Pass it on down. She will be missed and never forgotten🤗😢

Excellent singing by Dolores. One of my fav singers. She's not limited to pop/rock. She also sang Ave Maria in Gibson's passion of the Christ movie. Didn't know that was her voice. Very nice for an Irish Catholic (fallen away of course) gal.

I will miss this women with a angel voice. I have wanted to see the Cranberries in concert live for many years. I was so excited to see they were coming to Atlanta GA last fall, purchased tickets, and then they canceled the entire tour. I had know idea she had back problems to that extent. I was so disappointed, and looked forward to her recovering. Needless to say, still kinda in shock that she is know longer here. I will always be one of her biggest fans. Buddy M

I would love to see them in concert again, I went in the summer of 1999 (the Day before I left for Basic Training )when she came to Indiana and I had front row tickets, but I had such a bad Migraine I didn't get to enjoy the show at all, and they haven't been back since.
