I just ordered a motor combo kit and that includes a alltrax controller rated up to 500 amp, they asked me a bunch of questions about the use my cart was going to have . I’m assuming that is so the manufacturer can program it which the sales person said ti comes programmed which is good for me because I’m not mechanical. One of the questions was , what type of batteries do i currently hav which I answered lead acid . I guess what I’m wondering is can it handle new lithium batteries and would it need to then be reprogrammed? Thanks mate .
Yes!! For lithium battery reprogramming is needed for the Regen, lithium batteries cannot handle as much charging current as lead acid batteries can. So on the regeneration on the controller it needs to be turned down to a smaller amps. Because it can damage your lithium battery
It helped me! Thanks
Can we get a video of how you did the wiring?

Are you still using this? I went with lithium and I think I have to get a new controller. My setup will be charged by solar.
