Wow, amazing makes Becki. I love what you did with the BTPD fabric & the red jersey looks fab as a Tabitha tee ❤ Love, love, love everything. You’ll be the best dressed person on holiday 🤩
You really have been busy!! Fabulous makes and I am sure the Belle dress will be worth the wait!!! Thank goodness you could get more fabric. It happened to me last year with BTPD box fabric and I was so gutted but luckily Lady McElroy had some of the fabric left- I was SO relieved bought extra to make a top as well. Your holiday wardrobe is going to be awesome and so individual. Happy Sewing 😊. Lynne
Beautiful makes Bec! I love the honesty in recounting how you cut the pieces of the Belle dress out in the wrong direction. It’s refreshing to hear that other sewists make silly mistakes on occasion too. Your Ogden cami dress looks gorgeous on you! Can’t wait to see more! 💖
WOW!!! Love the makes, and that you have 2 such perfect dresses from one week is everyone's dream!! Although maybe not the flashiest, of your dresses, the Tabitha dress is just so perfect! If I could get a fit like that I would make one a week :) Congrats!!!!
Love all your makes Beci, but, in particular that tee shirt dress in the red is so lovely. We must be going on holiday at the same time, I think. I can tell you are excited to wear all those new clothes, and sovyou should be.....they are all gorgeous 😍
Lovely makes, we've got to wait til August for our holiday, I will still be rushing to get stuff made lol. I managed to get booked on the June sewcial, looking forward to seeing everyone 😊
Fantastic! Sooo much sewing - in between everything else you do! And your makes look great too. I had a sewing fail week - made two things - didn't like them on and cut out 2 more- probably won't like them on either.😒
Wow you've been a busy girl!! Love all your makes. I cant wait to see your Mabel. I'm in sewing withdrawal as I'm house/cat sitting. So no sewing this weekend for me. I've got a stack of project dress a girl dresses and some work scrub tops cut out waiting for me when I do get home.
Oh no 🙈 could you not have taken your machine with you? Sounds like a few selfless sews there… outside of the work scrubs try and fit in some more for you ❤️
Your dresses look fab on you, you've inspired me to try a dress, we are similar shape, large bust & mum tum. I'm not as organised and productive as you but will be buying a new over locker soon as my Singer has died so then I'll be on it! 🤞😊
I love all your holiday wardrobe. If the red shorts are snug ,why not put a contrasting band or matching fabric down the side seams to give you a bit more room. The colour is great on you and it would be more comfortable. Enjoy your holiday .x
I love everthing about your Tabitha tee and it looks great on you whether tucked or untucked, it just looks great! I love that white embroidered voile that you talked about making the Scout Tee in. I have just bought a very similar ecru embroidered voile specificially to make the Scout Tee in but I am going to lengthen the sleeves a bit. Sewing disasters: like you I am just using a one-way design fabric to make a shirt. It has a burrito yoke on the back. So I did all the stages for the yoke, graded the three layers of fabric in the shoulder seams, turned it through and then realised that the front bodice pieces were back to front. So, so, so annoying. I then had to unpick both shoulder seams and then match up each graded bit of fabric to the previous layer and re-sew. I wouldn't mind but I wasn't rushing and I still got it wrong!!!!!
Oh no 🙈 I have done that lots, although I don’t always have the push to carry on with it 😂 I am really pleased with the Tabitha T-shirt it’s just such an everyday make x
Becki, you look amazing in your Tabatha top and shorts and your Ogden cami dress. You have given me the idea to put an elasticated waist on my cami hack. I just lengthened it into a dress. By the way, I am 5’4” and weigh 8st 12, so I am slim but I have never tucked a top into a shorts or skirt. I must just be my shape! You have done so well with giving up smoking and losing weight! I can see a real difference in you. I hope you get all your makes done in time for your holiday. Looking forward to seeing your shirt for your other half. I have never made anything for my hubby! Oops!
Love your new wardrobe. Being on Steroids is not going to help your weight but once you are off them, hopefully it will come off more easily. I have an underactive thyroid and had this for many years, and it has taken me years before I could start losing. However, I am on Slimming World and maybe that has made the most difference. Might be my age as well. You are young, and will get there. Have faith. I think you look great.
I understand your dislike of your "mum tum". I also have one that's been stubborn to get under control. I had a hysterectomy 20+ years ago, so it's been a battle for quite awhile. With hitting 60 then a couple of COVID years, I don't know if I'll ever get to a size and shape I can tolerate. I'm beginning to think I'm just going to have to tolerate the body shape I have, much as I dislike it. You aren't alone in your struggles. You do have some beautiful makes to enjoy on your holiday.
The tabitha looks much better with your adjustment Bec, did you cut a size 4 in thr sleeve too? I'm going to try the 4 across the top as I always struggle with the shoulder being too big x
I really love your channel, but one comment when you show the fabrics you purchase could you say how much fabric you purchased. As I for one need to know a rough idea of how much I need and maybe others do to. Especially as I don’t tend to buy patterns. Thanks .
I hope you don’t mind me asking…I would like to make some t shirts with various necklines, but don’t know where to get started…..do you have a top 5 or top 10 recommendations?
Hey. To start, try the core tee by closet core, it is a free pattern and really beginner friendly with great instructions. I would always recommend the Tabitha T-shirt from Tilly and the buttons because her instructions are fabulous. One of my absolute go to T-shirts is the oversized tee from ELLIE AND MAC, this one has a boat and crew neckline, with comprehensive instructions. There is just a few to get you started x
If only every woman and girl realised how much effort goes into sewing clothes that fit properly! The way they felt about shop clothes sizing would be totally different!!
Love how vibrant your style is. I bought some beautiful crepe fabric from an eBay seller and I’m going to try and make a top for my holiday. Dug out my old fabric stash and I’d forgotten half of what I accumulated years ago.
Regarding your feelings about your mum tum. While I understand and have a bigger one than you, you grew humans. However, if it really bugs you, do a full belly adjustment on your pants and shorts. Just a little one will make a big difference in the fit and may make you less self conscious. Wonderful makes all the same
I’m not a mum but still have a tum. I really think you have a lovely figure, though, so try not to beat yourself up about losing weight. You always look fab in what you wear and we need to get over this internalised BS of having a flat stomach and being stick thin (I need to hear this as much as you do). You’re fabulous just as you are.
All your makes are lovely but your dresses are a triumph ..it’s so frustrating when our sewing doesn’t go well especially when it’s a rookie error , but hey ho we all do it 😂😂😂
Great vlog as always love your makes I have made some clothes for my holiday soon and have also made the same shirt for my hubby when I put them on Instagram I will tag you if that is okay? ❤❤❤
So many beautiful makes and fabrics! Very inspiring, especially love the dresses & tees ❤
Thank you x
Wow, you’ve got so much done this week, you’re going to have a beautiful holiday wardrobe and totally unique ❤❤
Thank you x
The red shorts being linen will probably grow with wear. Lovely makes :)
You are probably right x
Love your Ogden hack - that is the sort of dress I'm always looking for! :)
Thank you x
I like how you showed the comparison of the shorts and how fabric affects the fit.
I am pleased you liked that bit x
Well I cannot decide which is my favorite. All excellent and suiting you perfectly 🎉🎉
Thank you x

Love the cami dress hack. It looks fabulous ❤

Thank you, I always think it’s good to share the good and the bad x
Wow you’ve been busy. I wish I had the sewing motivation like you to get stuff done. Have a great weekend
I must admit, the holiday is driving it 😂 x

Yes the T-shirt dress is just lovely, one of those holiday day essentials x
I absolutely love your Scout Tee! It looks so great on you. I went straight online and bought myself some of that fabric to make one for myself!!
Oooo enjoy, I love it x
Lovely makes, we've got to wait til August for our holiday, I will still be rushing to get stuff made lol. I managed to get booked on the June sewcial, looking forward to seeing everyone 😊
I know hun, it’s because I’m on my holidays 😂 so enjoy, Adele’s there she will love that you are going xx
@@whatbecsews aw I thought that might be the case. Gutted but will hopefully catch up again soon 😊
Fantastic! Sooo much sewing - in between everything else you do! And your makes look great too. I had a sewing fail week - made two things - didn't like them on and cut out 2 more- probably won't like them on either.😒
Oh no, what a shame, I hate it when that happens xx
Loving your holiday wardrobe, I hope you get chance to get all your other plans made x
Thank you x
❤❤❤

Yay to a new overlocker. Thank you x
I bought the Nerida Hansen fabric to make a Maison Fauve dress - Haut Vol. Can't wait. Love your scout tee
Oooo that will be amazing x

Wow. You are smashing it. That Tabitha tshirt looks amazing on you ❤. I’ve just made another one too. So good to throw on 🙌🏼
They just are such a fabulous every day wear x
The shorts look cute. I have a permanent Mum tum and I am okay with it! So glad you gave up smoking! I quit 28 years ago. 😊
Yes it’s been tough but pleased I did x

The comment about your bottom made me laugh! Gorgeous makes!
😊
The tabitha looks much better with your adjustment Bec, did you cut a size 4 in thr sleeve too? I'm going to try the 4 across the top as I always struggle with the shoulder being too big x
I did the 4 all the way until it comes out in the bodice piece, I just brought it out to the 6 x

So true x
You can grab some great fabrics from eBay xx
xXX👍👍👍
I prefer anyway your t-shirt untucked!!!
Thank you x
Your makes are all lovely and look really good on you. Love your fabrics, too. Both you and Adele have been buying solids. Are you both poorly???
Haha I know… I think the sensible sides of our brains are telling us we need some plains to put our outfits together 🤭 x
Regarding your feelings about your mum tum. While I understand and have a bigger one than you, you grew humans. However, if it really bugs you, do a full belly adjustment on your pants and shorts. Appreciate this as I've just gained one!

I don’t like making button holes, period!!!
All your makes are lovely but your dresses are a triumph ..it’s so frustrating when our sewing doesn’t go well especially when it’s a rookie error , but hey ho we all do it 😂😂😂
Yes 😂 x
Eat more meat to get rid of tummy! Keto diet helps 😊
Lol I am not really a meat eater x
Great vlog as always love your makes I have made some clothes for my holiday soon and have also made the same shirt for my hubby when I put them on Instagram I will tag you if that is okay? ❤❤❤
Oooo yes, I would love to see them x
