Another great video Bec! That blue is definitely your color. I can totally relate with not wanting my hubby to know EXACTLY how much fabric is in my stash. 😘
Love the trousers. I have that print in a cotton to make a Donny Shirt. Great Naya and love the maxi print. You look great in the blues. They really suit your colouring
Have a watch of nancy zieman, it's quite old footage but she explains the big 4 and a much easier way of doing alterations with pivot and slide method. I did a 2" sway back without cutting the pattern up worked a treat 😊 I need some floral trousers like yours, love them ❤
Lovely makes Becki! Love the cobalt blue maxi dress! I’m a bit on the fence regarding the Nell dress - it looks just like the Indigo with a button front and a couple of sleeve options - nothing that you couldn’t hack yourself. ❤️
You’re a doll with a lot of energy! I live in America and I have just received my Nell Pattern from Tilly. I’m lookin g forward to you sharing this with everyone - I will value your take on this. The jumpsuit is beautiful on you. Have a good week. (Greensboro, North Carolina, USA)
Love your blues phase Becci, such a gorgeous colour on you! I have the Fleur, wasn’t as keen on the Nell as they are quite similar but there have been a few head turners so I’m warming to it and might need to make both 😳🤷♀️♥️
Your wrap dress is just lovely and you look great in it. I have just made the Grainline Scout in an ecru embroidered voile and it is so pretty. Now I am just cutting out the Atelier Brunette LA Veste jacket pattern. I bought some gorgeous curtain fabric, (pale blue covered in painterly pink roses) for it as I love a patterned jacket. It is going to fray like mad though, so I am going to have to be very careful with it!
What great makes again and you do make me smile with all of your life insights😂😂. Hiding post- thought I was the only one 😂😂. Agree with all you say about the Big4 patterns but that dress is stunning. I too, love Fabulosew but have had to wait a week this time for my pattern to be printed which never normally happens. Looking forward to seeing your Nell although I think I am more tempted by the Fleur especially after seeing Ruan’s blouse version. This week I have made the Savannah wrap dress by Atelier Jupe in BTPD viscose (red and green) and the Tammy Handmade long casual skirt (Rani?) in black double gauze. About to make a top to go with it - I am doing a cut off version of the new Fibre Mood tie back dress. Wish I could make it to one of your socials - they sound SO much fun. Have a great week and Happy Sewing 😊. Lynne
I’ve cut out the straight version of the Nell with puff sleeves. Looking forward to making it this weekend. I made the Fleur top with puff sleeves last weekend and although it’s a beautiful blouse, I’m not convinced it’s right for me - it is oversized, the shoulders are a touch too big and the round neck could be a bit overwhelming on me because I’m petite in height but midsize in figure. I’m posting a pic on insta today so I’ll send it so you can see maybe? Might help with your decision. I loved it when I was making it before I added the sleeves, so maybe it’s an adjustment to the length and the sleeves I need… sorry, waffling because I’m thinking out loud haha).
We are getting on our Sew fruity projects. I (Kelly) have just cut out 3 Swim Style Ellery dresses and Dee is refashioning a previous fruity make into a dress rather than a 2 piece and making a fruity Donny. 🍓🍒🍓🍒🍓
😂 The guilt is real! I’ve put myself on a fabric ban until Boxing Day. Fabric shopping is a completely different hobby 😱 I had a trip to Dewsbury last week whilst we were on holiday in York. Had a lovely morning visiting Fabworks and Lucky Fashions, the ladies were all super friendly AND Dewsbury Market was on too and there were 2 fabric sellers. Well it would have been rude to go all that way and not buy anything 🤷🏼♀️😂
Now that sounds like an amazing time, I have figured I can’t keep myself to a ban, I tend to go on binging sessions to make up for the restrictions and then end up with more fabric 🤣🤣
I have ordered fabrics to arrive whilst my husband is away on our future son in laws stag weekend. I sort of forgot we have a ring doorbell. Hopefully he will have had a drink or two and not notice a big parcel arriving on his phone
Stunning makes as always and you had me laughing out loud when mentioning how you're hiding your fabric and purchases because I do too lol if my husband were to find out I think some divorce papers would most likely follow-up 😂😂😂 he actually asked me why I was laughing so loud from the living room and it made the whole thing even funnier x lovely vlog as always x
😂 I’m so glad I’m not the only one, my neighbour has taken delivery this morning for me, I will be sending my daughter to grab it before he gets home x
The blue looks lovely on you, & I absolutely love the blue dress fabric ! I know you are a fan of the Pomona pants which I am, so what differences do you find between them & the Friday pattern co Saguaro pants?
Does your partner have a hobby he spends money on? Don't hide your purchases ladies. Show them off with pride and the next time your partner goes away they may buy you fabric as a gift if they really know what you like. Mine does, and more than I'd buy for myself.
Good point, but it's not necessarily about money. Hoarding can be an issue for other family members, and it can he hard to watch someone collecting more fabric than they're ever going to use. It's wasteful and it makes me feel sad when I think of it all sitting there, gathering dust, until the person who bought it is gone and all that fabric is just left behind 😮
I think a Naya top goes perfect with the Saguaro trousers too! Yours look great as does the jumpsuit
Thank you x

Aww thanks for the lovely compliment honey ❤. Your makes are all gorgeous. Cobalt blue is defo one of your colours 😊
❤️❤️❤️

Nancy’s slide and pivot instructions are a game changer. Don’t know why more people haven’t talked about it😊
her videos are amazing rip nancy!

Don’t hide your purchases ladies!!! You are worth it! Celebrate you 🎉
Like your way of thinking ❤️

It is hard when fabric frays x
I love all your makes and whats better I think you and I are very similar in size so I love hearing what size you make.. Thank you for that.
Ahh thank you 😊 x

The social is fab fun 🤩 Ruan also made me turn my head to the pattern, I’m just not sure about the high neckline. The savannah is a lovely pattern x
lovely makes, lovely colour on you. Just finished some summer pjs in time for warmer weather.
Thank you x
I’m toiling the Grainline Studio Farrow dress. Hoping to make some in linen to take on holiday to Japan in September.
Ooo that sounds lovely x
Hi Becky, nearly finished my Nell with the puffball sleeves! Just the hem and buttons and buttonholes to do. I love the sleeves!
Oooo how exciting x
I’ll be making a kimono jacket as a trial for making it as a gift for a friend. Lovely dress the colour is fab on you
That sounds lovely and your friend is very lucky x
Gorgeous makes as always! The blue is perfect on you and I love the earrings!
Thank you xx

Waffling is good 😂
HAve a look at Ruth Sewing room for the Nell dress.. It looks wonderful.. I think she went down 2 sizes
Yes I have seen, I think I will make my normal adjustments x

His is golf and he does like a drink or two 😂 I’d say we both spend the same… it’s more about mine taking over the house 😂
