Courtney I have been subscribed from almost the beginning. Just had a problem come up today with the 3 point not raising. I have been an owner for 4 years and feel foolish. After watching your video I rechecked the power beyond and BINGO! My heart started beating with a normal rhythm again. Thanks!
Thankyou for this! I cannot find anywhere in the manuals for the tractor or backhoe nor any video that describes to connect the hoses back to complete the system. Appreciate the effort that goes into these videos!
Hey thank you ! That knob on my Branson 3828 has been in Colorado at the United Van lines warehouse in Denver and I have been raising hell trying to get it shipped for months ! I suspect someone tightened it hoping I would have to take it to get it repaired ! You just saved me a bunch ! THANK YOU AGAIN !
My dad tipped mine forward on a creek bed. Was able to use the bucket and some steel square stock to push it up enough to get traction, but for some reason 3 points wouldn't respond after. It ended up being the weight drop knob just needed to be cycled off then on again. Nice video !!!!!!
You have help me so very much. Solve issues my local John Deere service Dept wasn’t able to do. Bless you and thanks for your informative channel. You me the knowledge I needed to make my new purchase of my 4044r w/80” box blade & 72” disc. Keep up the great work man. Blessing
My hydraulic lift wasn't working after disconnecting my backhoe. I followed your advice on double checking my line connectection and bingo, worked immediately. Thanks!
I had my MF GC1720's 3 point hitch stop working. If I shut it off, and restarted it, I could get the hitch to raise, but it would only work the one time. I ended up renting a trailer and taking it to my dealer (Guy Brothers in Clements Md.) and in about 10 minutes they figured out it was a bad quick connect coupler. I would have never thought that could be the problem. Weird problem, but glad I had such a great dealer (they didn't even charge me).
I have to laugh, I just had this problem, my hyd connection was not fully seated, even John Deere missed it. As you're first story, I removed my Backhoe too.
Hey Courtney - You knocked it out of the park again - Great Refresher Course on the 3 point hitch... I have had my 1025r for a year now and have never taken off the backhoe - Plan on doing it soon to use my 3 point post hole auger... Did you do a tutorial on how to set up your 3 point hitch arms etc. for the 1st timer...? Thanks..
Does that work well for mid mount mowing ? Should the rocker shaft have some type of adjustment lock that is adjustable on the control next to the right side of the driverbon the rocker shaft itself. Like a plastic piece ? I purchased my JD1025r used and I don't have one. But on other tractor brands I've seen them
Got a possible 3 point hitch related issue with a JD 3032E (no loader). Hit a loose rock the size of a football. Brush Hog jumps and shear pin breaks. Replace and good to go but now the tractor has a good vibration at RPM (2500). Feel strong vibration in steering wheel, fender grab handles, foot peddles etc. Feel engine, tunnel and transaxle and no real vibration. Just in the peripheral parts as mentioned. PTO on/off no change. Speed, forward/reverse, 2X4, 4X4 no change. 3 point up/down no change. Does diminish with RPM reduction. Suspect the hydro pump for steering and 3 point. At RPM high pressure line from pump for 3 point has a high frequency vibration. Steering line does not. Torsion damper was also suggested but shaft seems to spin true. At a loss so far on this one!! Any ideas are welcome.
Good refresher video, Courtney. I'm sure lots of first time owners had no clue the "speed or rate of drop" can be adjusted here for heavier or lighter attachments. Since no 2 weigh the same, the dreaded "ground slam" can be eliminated with this control. How's Rosie?
She's doing so so. The steroids she's on are causing severe muscle atrophy so she has a hard time walking, can't go up or down stairs, among other side effects. We are starting to taper those off which should help regain muscle mass, but need to make sure the symptoms don't come back. She's a fighter though!
@@GoodWorksTractors I'm pulling for her! Steroids can work miracles, but the side effects can be horrible. My doc put me on a high dose pac a couple of years ago, to ease my severe arthritis, & It reacted with my left eye. It sees blurry black & white, but my right eye was not affected. Some serious stuff!
Have a 3032E JD 3pt goes all the way up or down. Will not stop at set numerical levels to adjust level of box blade, brush hog or post hole and Auger. Good info video but I don't believe I have that hydraulic adjustment in front of seat. Going to barn to dbl ck now. If NOT which part of video should I focus on? Not tractor mechanical savvy , only car ir truck savvy. Advice appreciated
I have a 2008 4320. I am having an issue where the handle is very stiff up or down and the arms wont come up all the way. I cant find any leaks or broken items. you can get to go down and then it only comes a third of the way up. It is not the dial under the seat either. My loader works perfect no other hydraulic ever hooked up to it. Appreciate any insight.
I just bought a 430 garden tractor diesel, I’m looking for a 3 point hitch set (rock shaft, top and lower bars..etc.) and a 54” snow blade for it. I wonder if you have anything like that would work with my tractor. I checked your website but didn’t see anything for older machines. Thanks
Well wouldn't you know...... 8 months after getting my new subcompact I decided to take the backhoe off...😂🤣 You can guess the rest....... thank you for the video.
What about lift arms only coming up half way? I think it’s a seal in the hydraulic pump…? 2017 3032E. I change filters and fluid every 200 hours. Any insight?
Hmm, could be lots of things. Seems like something is binding up. Perhaps a seal though, clog in the system, low on hydraulic oil, too much weight, I've seen physical objects stuck in the way of the linkage before that prevented lift height, etc. Not 100% sure what is the deal in your case.
crazy question. when I check my hydraulic fluid using the rear dipstick, I have a very difficult time "reading" the result. either the oil is so clean that it doesn't contrast with the metal. any tricks that work for you???? thanks
Thank you Courtney! I am sure that I will have some of those problems like the rock shaft coming loose....... Hey, with the wider spacers, will the 54D mmm work? it seems like with the extra space the tires wouldn't interfere with the gauge/anti scalp wheels.
What about this: 3320 that got borrowed to someone else in the company. They manage to break a lift arm; it gets replaced and gets a service. Now it's back but I'm finding out its range only seems to be between the 3-6 position. So now I can't get my brush deck high enough to ensure it won't catch on transitions between fields and driveway. Just to clarify; 3 seems like the new 0. The arms touch the ground at 3.
This is a question for a RC2060 brush hog. The safety gaurd chains that hang down off the back, what size is the cable. That goes through each chain link. Is it 3/16 or 1/4 in thickness. And it has the crush sleeve on each end.
i got a 2038r and the 3ph is stuck all the way up. it was working the other day and this morning it wouldn't move. I tried turning the ph3 speed dodad under the seat but that also won't budge
I have a JD 4310. I have a 3 point issue I cant solve. the piece that holds the adjustable side (rt) of the lower arm keeps breaking. Its a cast piece that threads up on the lift arm. I am using a sickle mower on the 3 point. cutting is fine. I stop, lift the cutter to make my turn. and POW the lower cast piece breaks where the lower arm is pinned in. I have checked the setup and its all put on the way JD had it set. the last one only lasted less than 24 hrs. any clues would help.
I have a jd 1026R, I have a problem with the three PT hitch lifting a 600 hay bale. Many times the hitch would pick up the bale with a foot or more ground clearance. Now many times the bale will just clear the ground or drag slightly on the ground. CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT....
Hello there, I have a little problem if you have the time to help me. I have a NEW HOLLAND T-8050 tractor and I attached a heavy rear blade on it. The problem is that although the blade is heavy, it doesn't stick to the ground when the tractor goes through some bumps or diggings. Is there a way to make the blade stable whatever the terrain is? THANKS in advance.
I have a 2014 1025R, everything worked fine last fall. Attached the belly mower this spring and the 3 point and belly mower won't go up or down. the raise and lower lever seems to be working. Don't know where else to start looking. doesn't have a backhoe function. If anyone can help it would be great.
Hi on my 4200 when the 3 point hitch comes up at top hydro psi dose not release labors motor until o slow Lee bump it back what could this be ?? Thank yoou
I got tired of bs runaround because of dumb ass engineering design the valve that controls your lift is bad thay wanted over 700 bucks for the replacement valve assembly and a arm and a leg to do it ! Around 2000 bucks ! This was 4 years ago ! I got the steel and bought a electric winch 3500 pounds built a mount around 190 bucks it been working good no problems ever since with all attachments large bushhog, disk ,chisolm plow, posthole diger , turning plow , 6ft tiller ! All for less than 250 bucks and it looks neet ! Ps it has a remote control to 👍

I never knew we could essentially lock the I-Match up like that using the under-seat control valve. Many thanks for sharing that tip !!!
You are the best. I could not see the poor hydraulic connection. It was an easy fix, thank you for posting the how to video

Any suggestion for what to do about a three-point hitch with JD Quick Hitch that won't go low enough to pick up an implement?
i have a 1023, and the 3 point will drift down onw its own when running are stopped with engine off, no issues with norm operation

Yeah, these adapters will interfere with the rear gauge wheels on a mower deck. That's the downside.
