Hey Norm, Another nice video. So great to see you and your girl out together. Thanks. Looking forward to trying this on a couple of lake up in the Gila. Thanks again for another inspiring video. See ya on the water.
Great video. Are there any casting techniques, besides a roll cast, that can be used to get farther out when you're backed up against brush on the shore like you were?
I have not, that rod is too heavy to utilize with Euro style techniques. Getting into a 4wt would give a great deal of leverage. I remember fishing the the shadow 11’ 4wt and how wrecked my wrist & forearm was. I can still fight and manage big fish on my 10’6 3wt effectively, without the heavy rod.
@@NMaktimaFlyFishing Trying to find an option to use for euro nymphing steelhead up here that won't break the bank. My friend has the Echo Lago 10' 6wt and he's going to try that. I was going to try it on my 3wt euro rod with heavier tippet but folks said it would break.
That looked a great day. Them fish are hard to hook when the hatch is small. The contact between you and the buzzer has to be spot on, as they can drop it so quickly. I have spent years to better my approach on hooking fish on the small hatch. Nobody should have a problem when fishing a large hatch, as the fish are smashing the buzzers. Great time for the novice to be on the water. All the best to Marcia and take care mate. Shaun.
Nothing better than having a good looking lady that loves to laugh and loves to fish with you. You found a keeper! Keep the great videos coming.
A great way to spend the day with your special fishing buddy!

Nice video and sound quality 👊
Another great video, and an excellent time fishing. Enjoyed watching you and your wife connect with the fish!
Thanks, it’s as much fun watching her connect with fish as it is when I connect with them. Thank you for watching

Norman, do you ever use that 10.5' #6 to euro nymph for bigger fish?
