In today's video I share with you the process of decluttering my jewelry! I decluttered over 20 pieces of jewelry! It had been quite a while since the last time I decluttered my jewelry, so it was long overdue. While decluttering I decided to go ahead a do a little makeover on my jewelry holder and spray painted them. I'm not sure how I feel about how they turned out, but I think I like them! My name is Joy. I’m a mom of three older kids - my oldest just graduated from college, my middle is in college, and my youngest is in high school. I have been a SAHM since my oldest was a year old, only having a couple different part time jobs over the years once all my kids were in school. I have also enjoyed volunteering with several non for profit organizations. About a year ago I started my own business doing in home organization here in Austin, Texas as a professional organizer! I want to share some of the tips and tricks I learned from being a SAHM for over 20 years.

Hey Joy! I have also put off decluttered my jewelry. I have decluttered some but I am not wearing most of it. I also like to have my jewelry on display. I end to forget about it if it’s in a drawer. Thanks for the motivation.

@@OrganizedWithJoy You can always do a second pass another time. I feel like I could probably get rid of 75% of my jewelry as I don’t wear it but that seems overwhelming so I’ll try for 25% or 50% then revisit that area at a later date. I often do that same method with my shoes, purses & clothing too. 💜
Yes! Good idea Michelle! I pretty much just choose a space in my home to declutter each week, so I’m constantly revisiting spaces I already decluttered! I’m thinking about doing a 30 day capsule wardrobe challenge to give me better perspective on what clothes I’m actually loving/wearing!😊

Hi Joy :) Love the earrings you are wearing, so beautiful. I have a very minimal jewerly collection, as a few years back I decluttered all my pieces. I am starting to build a new collection with some more intentional pieces that I really love. I actually found a really cute Minnie Mouse necklace and earring set for Halloween and the earrings were just cute red bows, but sadly one fell out and I lost it :( I really like the organizer you have so your earrings and necklaces don't get tangled.
