As a much older woman, I suggest keeping your jewelry. I have been wearing my earrings from the 70's these past few years, and now am dipping into my 80's earrings. I am so pleased that I had a box with them.....

You can sanitize your palettes with 70% alcohol. Just put it in a spray bottle and spray enough to cover the surface of the product. Let dry and it’s ready to go.
Really? And that will completely take the bacteria that has been building up over the years? ^_^
Well I dunno about years of buildup , but that’s how pros clean them in between different people
That’s a great suggestion! You can do it with lipstick and brushes too, but it’s the best for pressed powder products like palettes :)

Those chunky necklaces looked great all worn together, I love the long wooden one! Some of them are often thought of as "hippie", but that look goes back much farther than that. Long beaded necklaces, including wooden beaded ones, and more exotic ones were very popular in the 1920s, especially for artistic ladies, and their inspiration came from influences such as traditional folk costume and ancient cultures.

For the health of ur eyes, don't keep or use older mascaras. Bacteria grows very fast in container and could cause infection. Replace your mascara every 3 or 4 months. This is coming from personal experience & ex husband who is a physician. 😉

I love watching this kind of videos cause I am 16 I still live in the bedroom I grew up in so I have many clothes from elementary school and childhood stuff that I am very sentimental about and I can't say goodbye to
I first moved house when I was seventeen, and packed EVERYTHING from childhood. For over a decade I insisted on keeping it through five moves, most of it never even unpacked:/
You may surprise yourself if you *commit* to a cull/declutter day. The peace that comes with knowing there is real, actual value in what you hold onto (versus the burden of all the *stuff* you could pass along) is SO worth it 🙏
TL;DR: If you don't use or enjoy it regularly, you are *not* honouring the memory of it 💞

I recently cleaned my makeup collection too. Threw away my only two very old eyeshadow palettes. I didn't have much but now a have even less - eyebrow pencil, eye pencil, liquid eyeliner, mascara and powder. That's all. Feels great, but now I need a concealer and at least one eyeshadow palette. :D
I proclaimed this January as "Minimal makeup month" because I'm broke at the moment :D

Definitely keep the septum ring..it's so cute! If you think you have a lot of earrings, you'd lose your mind if you saw my collection. LOL I had a pair of sterling silver tiny mice studs that my mom gave me when I was around 10 or 11 and since I have no kids, I gave them to my only niece for Christmas. They're at least 40 years old. I told her that her grandma gave them to me when I was around her age and now I was passing them on to her. :) She'll most likely inherit my jewelry collection eventually anyway, as she's the only girl!

What are some of the other customs, like Germany has October fest. I've been in Europe and central America and they have such beautiful customs. My family is from Puerto Rico and they have such beautiful customs. I'm from New York and have been living in Florida for 20yrs now. I love it, there are so many cultures here.

You have very unique and exquisite earrings.
I use a cutlery divider to store earrings by colour. Ones with semi precious stones I store in small boxes like you do with your earrings.
I have 4 bokses and i have sorted my jewelry into it and i swop it around every season and that way i always have new jewelry

Kerbholz is a german word for a wooden stick that represents sth. like someones "criminal record" in anchient/germanic times.
The felonies were carved into someones Kerbholz (kerb= carve, Holz = Wood).
Today the word sometimes is still used metaphorically. If sb. has much on his Kerbholz it means he's a rebellious/undutiful guy (boy or girl).

Just in case... Because you don't have any grip at your drawer, you could use one of your pins or a ring to make it practical again. This way you reuse them if noone is interested in.

I put alot in clean plastic craft containers they use for beads. And I also use ice cube trays. I can the open my drawer and see them. I use a 5 drawer dresser as my jewelry box. I hang all my necklaces on a perfect wall of nails. Keeps them so organized. Bracelets I have over 250 I take bud vases and put them on them. Go on Pinterest and type in bud vase bracelet organizer. Love my jewelry I wear every single day even if I don’t go anywhere it makes me sooo happy. Hope your having a wonderful day

Lol it's a called a hook! Crochet uses a hook, knitting uses needles. Crochet is so fun, I learned on UA-cam and am addicted. Can't wait to see what you make.
I may be wrong, but I believe you are only supposed to keep most makeup 6 months. I don't always follow that rule, but I guess it's because it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. It's especially important in eye makeup, but to me, it seems it would be important in lip products, too.
