Watch 75% of the iPad pro video since it was launched. Now I own it just hold n look at it it's a REAL PLEASURE. I own an iPhone x n even the iPad pro s lcd I really enjoy it screen more. The galaxy tabs are great(owned a galaxy tab a 8inch back in 2014) but to me ipad are better specially in the long term(previously own an iPad mini 2). Both are good but according to my use I'd go for IPAD ever
Agree. The Samsung, well all of the android tablets work great... the first day. After that they are horrible. Gotta keep my iPad Pro. I’ll use my note 10 to make up for it though.

I'm an Apple fanboy, but I will choose the Tab S6, cheaper and almost the same performance, plus it comes with an S Pen. I'm quickly turning into a Samsung user, ever since I got my 1st Samsung device (the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 from 2016 which cost me around $200). This tablet made me realize how much better Android is... and the sad part is I talked so much trash about Samsung/Android all my life, without ever using their devices. I'm pretty sure the S6 must be better than my 8 GB Tab A. I've endured using a 8 GB tablet for almost 4 years, which is a pain in the a**, cause I can't download apps, pics, vids, etc. I can barely do anything... not even play games, because I'm usually with around 300 MB storage, which makes everything slower... It's time for me to upgrade from 8 GB to a S6 with 128 GB. But a 8 GB Galaxy Tab A, still made me fall in love with Samsung. Sorry iPad/Apple, I don't think I'm going back to you in a while. This is karma for me, for criticizing Samsung way too much lol

I feel you, but objectively speaking this comparison video is fine, he did point out that the S6 has a better screen, much better value (also with stylus included) and lighter. Other than that, things like stylus delay, screen refresh rate and performance on paper are facts too. Apple makes the best tablets, that's fairly unquestionable, but Tab S6 does stand his groud pretty well in comparison. This channel makes way much more biased videos when comparing the Macs to PCs.
I think this review is pretty objective, although iPad pro has better performance, which it always does, he did point out that tab s6 has better screen and speakers, which makes it a perfect media consumption device at a lower price.
Yep but only 60 Hz, the battery is really great on the tab s6. I can use 14 hours in a row without charging and without turning off the screen.

The had a 12in, I have two of them, Note Pro 12.2. One version was the Snapdragon CPU and the other was the Exynos. I'm almost afraid to go back and see the version numbers on those CPUs since that's a really old tablet. Also, you want to talk about a terrible display, that has to be the worst display on a "premium" tablet ever. They tried some bs 4 subpixel LCD thing where you had the normal Red Green and Blue, but then they added a white one too. So some of the pastel colors look weird and like they're dotted or has a checkerboard effect to them. Sharp played around with the 4 subpixel idea on their TVs but instead of white, they used Yellow as the fourth color. Other than that, great tablet.
Where's the iPad OS vs Dex comparison? They're the major updates to these tablets and you didn't cover them. This is more important than the cameras :-/
You can attach the spen to the side of the tab s6 also and as it doesn't need battery to write so it can stay there if you don't want to use the gyroscope features.
@@hanzohasashi2631 it doesn't need charging for the writing purpose. It needs charging if you want to use the gyroscope in the pen and Bluetooth for clicking photos.

@@majeed_yass but the galaxy book is a windows tablet pc and windows tablet mode sucks. So you dont exactly have a propper tablet, just a touch screen with windows. The ipad has its own propper features and soon ipad os. Samsung should consider going down that route
They did back in January 2014 (Galaxy Note Pro 12.2) but it didn't really get much attention. This was also back when TouchWiz was common in Samsung devices, and as everyone knows, no one liked TouchWiz's insane resource demands. The tablet performed fine from my experience, but I felt that it was too big for a tablet. It was basically a small laptop that you COULD use as a tablet, but wouldn't really want to. I personally think tablets shouldn't be larger than 10" because after that point you might as well get a laptop or 2-in-1.
I just got mine yesterday, the 12.9" model and I have to agree with you. It's a beast. I create music and the iPad Pro is superior as a music creation tool.

I’ve always been an apple user, but ever since I got my S9, I’ve never realized how amazing Samsung is. Thinking of getting the S6, but also I do love using IPads.
Jackson Wang’s Fan Samsung phones are just on another level to Apple, it isn’t even comparable. I’d say that iPads are much, much better than Samsung tabs though. Better battery life, easier design and better pen are the main things that make them better. I’d go for the 9.7’ budget model, the new iPad Air or the older edition of the iPad Pro over the new iPad pro though personally.

I've been on my iPad Pro 11 for an hr and 24min via screen time and I'm at 94% honestly if I'm binge-watching on the weekends my iPad can sometimes hold up to about 11-12 hrs that says something and I'm running Ipad is beta
I use my iPad Pro to take picture because it has better camera than my iPhone 6. It even able to record 4K 60 fps and FHD 240 fps, while my iphone only able to record FHD 60 fps and HD(720p) at 240 fps.

I have the IPad pro 2018 (12.9 inch version ) for few months now and I LOVE it especially for writing on it but the tab s6 got me surprised especially in the speakers display and overall much better value at lower price more ram more storage and sd expansion slot. Kodus for samsung for stepping up the game now they need work on their Exynos SoC and bring its performance to Apple A series SoC both CPU and GPU.
honestly the only reason i didnt go for the tab s6 but for the iPad pro is Procreate.. it is a nice tablet but there are so many things iOS just cant do..
MystineMystic well the issue is that I draw a lot with my tablet. Before that I had a tab s3 and found the quality of pretty much all the drawing apps to be really bad. Sadly procreate which in my opinion is one of the best drawing apps ever doesn’t have an android version. Pretty much all of the apps I currently have on my iPad (drawing animation and design) are so much better than everything I have experienced on android.. The tablet itself isn’t that bad and I really like all that apple stuff (fancy animations etc etc) but really the main reason I bought this thing is because of software I just can’t get on Android. There is a lot of stuff I can’t do on the iPad I could do before on my tab s3 but the main thing I do on the iPad is drawing and as I said procreate is just the best software ever. I still use my old tab s3 sometimes but since my note10+ can do everything as well I did before on the tab s3 using the iPad for mostly drawing isn’t that bad.. Although if I could just run iOS apps on android I’d probably just do that on the tabs6

I’m a heavy user. Mostly with procreate, rough animator and Affinity designer. Have 100s of projects on it, and use up around 20gb. I have a computer to heard my references and other stuff. My iPhone is 256gbc but what I fill it with is a bunch of podcasts, games and photos of my cats. Hardly professional use. The iPad is torture for gaming and video editing I have a computer for editing, as touch screen interface is just horrible. I love my iPad for drawing, animating and other Apple Pencil related stuff, but for anything that takes up a lot of memory?
Even with the Tab S6, I don't think Samsung has a true competitor to the iPad Pro. At best, this is a worthy opponent for a top variant iPad Air. The iPad Pro competes in a different tier where the Microsoft Surface Pro resides. I'd love to see a Samsung Tab Z series which truly gives the iPad Pro something to worry about.
It needs the full pen experience to be an iPad pro contender. One of the biggest draws (pun intended) for the iPad series is for artists and the pen experience with the Apple pencil absolutely beats any Android tablet and even the Surface pro series and becomes the default choice for artists and designers like myself. App support is better with IPad OS too with Photoshop for IPad in development. In my opinion, it's only a competitor to the pro if the user isn't interested the the 'pro' features. I hope there are true Pro level android tablets and apps in development in future too. Competition is what's best for the consumer. I'm not an Apple fanboy but the iPad Pro is the real deal and in a league of it's own for better or worse.
The Spen uses induction, not Bluetooth like the apple pencil. Once, I tested to see if the apple pencil experienced any precision problems and I was surprised! Because of the way it works if you get a little closer to the display while drawing a narrow black line, you will notice that instead of following every exact move of the pencil tip, the line jazzes around and never perfectly follows the tip. When I attempted the same with a galaxy note Spen this issue was not to be found. To further prove my finding I zoomed the drawing sheet all the way out and tried to get some kind of imperfection off the pen. Instead it worked like a physical drawing pencil which I think is more important than the millisecond input lag. Apple makes things look pretty. Samsung makes things better suited for the task at hand.

LOUDER IS NOT always BETTER. First thing I noticed about my ipad is it can go loud without sounding distorted or sounding tin pan sounding, unlike the samsung. So i give ipad that.
@@damienlobb85 Still, you wouldn't see that on the iPad given the same circumstances. Maybe I highlighted the wrong part, but throughout the video, the differences in reflectivity show, and defeats the purpose of an OLED screen.
Good review but if you only want a tablet for media consumption and nothing else, then I disagree with you, the tab s5e is great. Not the best for gaming, but perfect for netflix, youtube, checking email, etc.

@@carholic-sz3qv You should understand the difference between Apple and Android OS. Apple OS (iOS) is a closed source system so if you don't like how restrictive Apple is, then don't go for it. You can't just call your iPad trash just because their OS doesn't fit with what you need.

AMOLED isn't good if you are a professional. Over saturated color is ugly when you are an artist. That LCD is also 120Hz fyi. So it doesn't mean that having an LCD is bad. Remember most of professional displays that cost over $10,000 are using LCD

The tab s6 does have facial recognition and it's funny how the tabs6 looks brighter when the camera is focused on you but then dimes when the camera is comparing the 2 lol
It just looks that way cause the wallpaper is a bright blue while the iPads is darker. The dim feature of the iPad could be also turned on (dimming the iPad rather quickly when no one looks at it)
Cameras will auto adjust brightness to try and have everything in the picture exposed properly. When there is a very bright light source such as the iPads screen, the whole picture will be dimmed in order to not have the picture just turn out as a white mess. This is why when the s6 is on its own it seems brighter, but when paired with a brighter iPad it will look dimmer in pictures.
Different i think it’s a smart way to implement the DIN ration. It stands in Germany for German industry norm which is used for paper. It’s 1: squareroot(2). With this ratio you can fold a peace of paper in half and still have the same Ration. It’s genius.
@@superstar.02xo but bluetooth headphones are crap, I have galaxy budd and there is a noticable difference between when I hear something; lets use speech in movies as an example: last night I watched the bodyguard on my tab s4, there is about half a second lag between seeing Whitney's mouth move and when I hear it through the headphones. Wired headphones are much better for media viewing.
When you did the comparison between the two "pencil" why did you have the apple pencil touching the screen and the Samsung one off of the screen? You can clearly see that it wasn't touching.
Scott Mallett the Samsung has a laminated screen, so there is an air gap between the surface the pen touches and the actual screen. This causes the parallax. This is the space you are seeing. The iPad doesn’t have this.

I'm a competitive gamer. I bought an iPad Pro just for 1 game. The game is completely demanding all the way around. I used both before getting the pro, and it by far runs the game much smoother. (Android guy, hate iOS with a passion)
No matter how beautiful IPAD is, its fucking disposable. If its broken, might as well throw it away cause apple wont fix it. I bought 2 ipad pros last year, both are well taken care of, but both had a problem with motherboard almost at the same time. Apple said it cant be fixed. An independent tech asked for almost half the price of the ipad just to repair. Thats the last apple prouct i will ever buy.
They made a tablet that is very comparable to the iPad pro for HALF of the cost. Have fun spending $1000+ on a re-release of apple's products every year.

My go to app to compare my real use performance on tablets has been Lightroom Mobile. On Android it lags a lot, no matter what device I use. Side by side, the adjustment levers load much quicker on even older apple devices. I would be curious to see how Lightroom does on the new Galaxy tablet.
I am not sure which Android devices you used. But I am using Samsung Tab S4 and Samsung Galaxy S9+ and Lightroom is working pretty smooth and quick. Any significant lags. I happy using Lightroom and Tab S4 (really perfect display) with S-Pen

Pretty much the only thing i use my tablet for is when i travel, to watch movies on. I used to use it at home all the time instead of my phone but i find i just use my s10+ for everything at home now.
Great video! I already own the 18.4 inch Samsung View tablet, and S9+ phone, however when I went to look at the S6 in store I could not resist just a gorgeous perfect tablet. Also over here in Australia, a bonus offer at the moment is you get Galaxy buds ( $245) when you purchase the tablet. Getting my S6 on Monday with the buds yay. 😊 By the way I noticed that the color on the iPad pro looked really yellow compared to the true color on the S6 bright with more contrast and natural. Samsung products are all ways so much better, and you all ways get more for your dollar. Samsung include the pen, you can expand the GB and in the S6 tablet the sound is a million times better than the iPad Pro. Love you Samsung😊 So excited YAY😊

I've been an Apple fan since I bought my first one, an Apple 11c, in 1985. I moved to my first Mac, a 52 KE, and on and on, through a series of desktops and laptops, ending up with a MacBook Pro. I must have spent north of 30K on computers and phones over 35 years. Now, I'm seriously looking at Chromebooks, and Android phones, because I can't support Apple anymore. Much of the software I purchased, like CS, Aperture, and even some MS products, don't work anymore, and are not supported anyway. So, here I am, ready to give up on Apple, and looking seriously at alternatives.

Not true. The tab s6 has dex mode which is a desk top experience and is perfect for work. I use mine for university and its perfect for that With the keyboard book cover. Look at the dex reviews.

I use face unlock on my Tab S6. You also don't have the Tab set on vivid which is making the iPad look more saturated. Personal choice though for sure. I have this as well as the iPad pro 12.9, which I'm selling now lol. The things you don't talk about like better Google Assistant integration, which smokes Siri, better multitasking with split screen, pop out windows, pip UA-cam, and dex, which is awesome, my decision to ditch the iPad was pretty easy. Also, video is WAY better on the Tab in every aspect. The only area I feel the iPad clearly wins is gaming, which is the reason I bought it. Turns out, I do almost zero gaming on tablets lol. Especially when I could play my switch instead. The Apple pencil is way better for drawing, but the functionality of the S pen blows it away.
@@hyper6220 Ipados is something that should already had been in Apple's first os. Still ipad os is way way behind the functionality and multitasking ability of android tablets. Ipados instead of much pomp and show has provided the same functionality that existed since quite long on Android and still could not match android at all. Android is based on Linux: unlimited possibilities, such a weak ios13 would never be able to compete unless its a conplete overhaul. And Apple will keep highlighting security and similar bullshit to keep justifying the drastic limitations of its os. Laptop replacement!? Never! Experience Android once. From the user of Ipadpro 2018 and an Old samsung tablet with spen: Samsung Note 10 (the very old note tablet not the current phone model). Even this 2012 tablet competes with today's ipados in functionality terms. Wish samsung s6 tab had been released earlier and I had not wasted my precious bucks for this expensive ipad pro.
I got the 512gb iPad pro 2018 model for almost a year now and by far it's the DOPEST piece of tech I own. iOS 13 has just made it even better. I use it for music production gaming and video consumption. MacOS Catalina Is also soo 🔥🔥 works amazing with my iPad. The Samsung Galaxy S6 is nice but it's absolutely not at the same level with apple.
While it looks great, my Samsung tablet (s5e) malfunction in 2 months and they have the WORST customer service for their warranty (at least for Hong Kong). Long story short, they charged me for fixing the USB port that broke down on its own. To give you some context, I am not an Apple fanboy, I have never brought any Apple product (I am a Sony fanboy). After I got the s5e, I accidentally made a little dent near the corner of the tablet, extremely slightly affecting less than 3mm area of the screen, and that does not affect the use of the tablet at all. Around a month after the incident, the USB port stopped working and I went to Samsung to have them fix that for me. While I definitely have no intention to fix the dent and the screen, Samsung demands me to pay $200 dollars ($1500 HKD) to fix the screen, otherwise, they will not fix the USB port for me. Their justification is that the fixing process will further damage the screen, and they cannot fix anything if unless the tablet is in perfect condition as they have to pull out the screen first. I think this is definitely ridiculous. Firstly, that freaking port broke down in two months! Secondly, Samsung should be responsible for any cost they need to fix THEIR MALFUNCTION PORT! They are asking me for another $200 dollars for their $400 dollars break-down-in-two-months tablet. I have complained and they are not responding reasonably. I can only warn everyone here not to buy Samsung because of their poor quality control and awful customer service.
Edmond Cheung don’t get me started. Did you go to the office on Hennessy road in Causeway Bay? I bought my Samsung gear S2 watch to change the battery because it doesn’t charge properly. It’s a 2 year old device no warranty, so I wanted to pay for the replacement as I like the watch. They told me they can’t change the battery because I bought it in Shanghai. They said they’ll only service Samsung products bought in HK, I can go back to Shanghai if I want to fix it. Apple doesn’t pull this crap. I’m mixed with Apple products, but their customer service is really good. Their watch is ugly though, so that’s not gonna happen.
Unfortunately Samsung's customer service isn't very good. If you are considering getting a new tablet, either the Tab S6, iPad Pro or iPad Air is the way to go. An big advantage on the iPad is that you will get much better software support, for a much longer time so the overall experience on an iPad Pro/Air in 2-3 years will be much much better then the Tab S6 for example.

First off, this sounds shady as hell. You made a small dent? How the hell do you dent a tablet without hitting it lol. Sounds like you dropped it. That could impact the internals. That being said, we have Samsung centers in Bestbuy here in the US and they honor warranties in person... Provided you didn't physically damage it...
It's not necessarily a better value just because its cheaper. I don't think it would be too hard to argue that the ipad is actually the better value since you're getting laptop level performance (in some cases) for only $150 more, or even less if you compared it with the model you actually tested. Now that the 2020 ipad is out with even more processing power, 6GB RAM, ultrawide camera plus lidar, and starts at 128GB storage for the base model, it makes it even harder to say the S6 is a better value.
From what I know, Apple's Face ID doesn't really scan your face so much as the physical structure of it, with an infrared dot projection camera and an IR camera. These projected dots are invisible to the naked eye, and they scan the physical shape and structure of your face and then compare it to the data entered when the Face ID was set up. So any cosmetic changes to one's look or skin should be a non-issue. Hope this helps!
for me i would love to go for the galaxy tab one day, if their pen was a tad nicer, or closer to pen shape then a stylus shape and if Dex gets greatly improved. At the moment im using a surface tablet with the pen and loving that full laptop/pc experience. Everyone's has their own preference. this just mine.

1. Not really. Sure, AMOLED is prettier and has true blacks but LCD is more color. Plus the 120hz Promotion. 2. You can get a terabyte of storage. A microSD card is cheaper but it is much slower than internal flash storage. 3. Who cares about price? 4. The S-Pen in the box sucks; it's full of latency and awkwardly shaped. The Apple Pencil is much better because it has no latency and really great drawing angles, the iPad has much more, better drawing apps, and the promotion display makes drawing even better. 5. Depends what your doing. Remember, this is a professional device meant for advanced picture and video editing, extensive drawing, running many power intensive apps at once. 6. Android is great for phones because of the countless customization options. But on the tablet side of things, with iOS you get optimization. Apple optimizes their hardware to work seamlessly with their software which creates the ultimate working station.
I just got my Samsung Tab S6 and It has a choice of Face ID or using fingerpring. I chose Face ID and love it, fast and quick and works just like my Iphone X.

I use the tablet to take pictures every day. I am a real estate appraiser and use an application for data collection where the camera is critical in low light, wide-angle and video. I wish the tablets have better cameras. I am using a Note 10+ as I need the pencil to make notes on PDF files and for the camera. Would prefer a tablet, but it is hard to find a tablet that has a good camera
Love the Samsung tablets as i have an S4. That being said, even this model is no way better than the iPads. I don't like apple, but these tablets can't be beat. The reason: apps are actually made for the iPads. The apps i use aren't made for tablets, and it's a bummer.

Same, watching this video on my Air 2 right now. I’ve had it since 2015 and it still runs like new, and it’s pretty incredible that it will be able to run iPadOS.
Best comparison I have seen. What I was looking for was if the moled screen was worth it. I saw the colors were more accurate but did not have the brightness of the ipad pro. If they only could increase it I would of jump to it.

Yeah I've given up on Android tablets. I love my OnePlus phones, and use the 7pro daily, but for a tablet I broke down and got the 11 inch iPad pro. No regrets at all.

I'm an Apple fanboy, but I will choose the Tab S6, cheaper and almost the same performance, plus it comes with an S Pen. I'm quickly turning into a Samsung user, ever since I got my 1st Samsung device (the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 from 2016 which cost me around $200). This tablet made me realize how much better Android is... and the sad part is I talked so much trash about Samsung/Android all my life, without ever using their devices.
I'm pretty sure the S6 must be better than my 8 GB Tab A. I've endured using a 8 GB tablet for almost 4 years, which is a pain in the a**, cause I can't download apps, pics, vids, etc. I can barely do anything... not even play games, because I'm usually with around 300 MB storage, which makes everything slower... It's time for me to upgrade from 8 GB to a S6 with 128 GB.
But a 8 GB Galaxy Tab A, still made me fall in love with Samsung. Sorry iPad/Apple, I don't think I'm going back to you in a while. This is karma for me, for criticizing Samsung way too much lol

I feel you, but objectively speaking this comparison video is fine, he did point out that the S6 has a better screen, much better value (also with stylus included) and lighter. Other than that, things like stylus delay, screen refresh rate and performance on paper are facts too. Apple makes the best tablets, that's fairly unquestionable, but Tab S6 does stand his groud pretty well in comparison. This channel makes way much more biased videos when comparing the Macs to PCs.
I think this review is pretty objective, although iPad pro has better performance, which it always does, he did point out that tab s6 has better screen and speakers, which makes it a perfect media consumption device at a lower price.

Yep but only 60 Hz, the battery is really great on the tab s6. I can use 14 hours in a row without charging and without turning off the screen.
The had a 12in, I have two of them, Note Pro 12.2. One version was the Snapdragon CPU and the other was the Exynos. I'm almost afraid to go back and see the version numbers on those CPUs since that's a really old tablet. Also, you want to talk about a terrible display, that has to be the worst display on a "premium" tablet ever. They tried some bs 4 subpixel LCD thing where you had the normal Red Green and Blue, but then they added a white one too. So some of the pastel colors look weird and like they're dotted or has a checkerboard effect to them. Sharp played around with the 4 subpixel idea on their TVs but instead of white, they used Yellow as the fourth color. Other than that, great tablet.

They did back in January 2014 (Galaxy Note Pro 12.2) but it didn't really get much attention. This was also back when TouchWiz was common in Samsung devices, and as everyone knows, no one liked TouchWiz's insane resource demands. The tablet performed fine from my experience, but I felt that it was too big for a tablet. It was basically a small laptop that you COULD use as a tablet, but wouldn't really want to. I personally think tablets shouldn't be larger than 10" because after that point you might as well get a laptop or 2-in-1.
iPad Pro is absolutely great. Super fast, portable and looks amazing. Remains unbeatable... But good try from Samsung.

I’d say that iPads are much, much better than Samsung tabs though. Better battery life, easier design and better pen are the main things that make them better. I’d go for the 9.7’ budget model, the new iPad Air or the older edition of the iPad Pro over the new iPad pro though personally.

It even able to record 4K 60 fps and FHD 240 fps, while my iphone only able to record FHD 60 fps and HD(720p) at 240 fps.

I have the IPad pro 2018 (12.9 inch version ) for few months now and I LOVE it especially for writing on it but the tab s6 got me surprised especially in the speakers display and overall much better value at lower price more ram more storage and sd expansion slot. Kodus for samsung for stepping up the game now they need work on their Exynos SoC and bring its performance to Apple A series SoC both CPU and GPU.

MystineMystic well the issue is that I draw a lot with my tablet. Before that I had a tab s3 and found the quality of pretty much all the drawing apps to be really bad. Sadly procreate which in my opinion is one of the best drawing apps ever doesn’t have an android version. Pretty much all of the apps I currently have on my iPad (drawing animation and design) are so much better than everything I have experienced on android.. The tablet itself isn’t that bad and I really like all that apple stuff (fancy animations etc etc) but really the main reason I bought this thing is because of software I just can’t get on Android. There is a lot of stuff I can’t do on the iPad I could do before on my tab s3 but the main thing I do on the iPad is drawing and as I said procreate is just the best software ever. I still use my old tab s3 sometimes but since my note10+ can do everything as well I did before on the tab s3 using the iPad for mostly drawing isn’t that bad.. Although if I could just run iOS apps on android I’d probably just do that on the tabs6

I’m a heavy user. Mostly with procreate, rough animator and Affinity designer. Have 100s of projects on it, and use up around 20gb. I have a computer to heard my references and other stuff. My iPhone is 256gbc but what I fill it with is a bunch of podcasts, games and photos of my cats. Hardly professional use. The iPad is torture for gaming and video editing I have a computer for editing, as touch screen interface is just horrible. I love my iPad for drawing, animating and other Apple Pencil related stuff, but for anything that takes up a lot of memory?
Even with the Tab S6, I don't think Samsung has a true competitor to the iPad Pro. At best, this is a worthy opponent for a top variant iPad Air. The iPad Pro competes in a different tier where the Microsoft Surface Pro resides. I'd love to see a Samsung Tab Z series which truly gives the iPad Pro something to worry about.
It needs the full pen experience to be an iPad pro contender. One of the biggest draws (pun intended) for the iPad series is for artists and the pen experience with the Apple pencil absolutely beats any Android tablet and even the Surface pro series and becomes the default choice for artists and designers like myself. App support is better with IPad OS too with Photoshop for IPad in development. In my opinion, it's only a competitor to the pro if the user isn't interested the the 'pro' features. I hope there are true Pro level android tablets and apps in development in future too. Competition is what's best for the consumer. I'm not an Apple fanboy but the iPad Pro is the real deal and in a league of it's own for better or worse.
The Spen uses induction, not Bluetooth like the apple pencil. Once, I tested to see if the apple pencil experienced any precision problems and I was surprised! Because of the way it works if you get a little closer to the display while drawing a narrow black line, you will notice that instead of following every exact move of the pencil tip, the line jazzes around and never perfectly follows the tip. When I attempted the same with a galaxy note Spen this issue was not to be found. To further prove my finding I zoomed the drawing sheet all the way out and tried to get some kind of imperfection off the pen. Instead it worked like a physical drawing pencil which I think is more important than the millisecond input lag. Apple makes things look pretty. Samsung makes things better suited for the task at hand.

LOUDER IS NOT always BETTER. First thing I noticed about my ipad is it can go loud without sounding distorted or sounding tin pan sounding, unlike the samsung. So i give ipad that.

@@damienlobb85 Still, you wouldn't see that on the iPad given the same circumstances. Maybe I highlighted the wrong part, but throughout the video, the differences in reflectivity show, and defeats the purpose of an OLED screen.
Good review but if you only want a tablet for media consumption and nothing else, then I disagree with you, the tab s5e is great. Not the best for gaming, but perfect for netflix, youtube, checking email, etc.

AMOLED isn't good if you are a professional. Over saturated color is ugly when you are an artist. That LCD is also 120Hz fyi. So it doesn't mean that having an LCD is bad. Remember most of professional displays that cost over $10,000 are using LCD

It just looks that way cause the wallpaper is a bright blue while the iPads is darker. The dim feature of the iPad could be also turned on (dimming the iPad rather quickly when no one looks at it)
Cameras will auto adjust brightness to try and have everything in the picture exposed properly. When there is a very bright light source such as the iPads screen, the whole picture will be dimmed in order to not have the picture just turn out as a white mess. This is why when the s6 is on its own it seems brighter, but when paired with a brighter iPad it will look dimmer in pictures.

Different i think it’s a smart way to implement the DIN ration. It stands in Germany for German industry norm which is used for paper. It’s 1: squareroot(2). With this ratio you can fold a peace of paper in half and still have the same Ration. It’s genius.
THE SURFER and that’s what makes it great for tablets. In split view the UI has the same aspect ratio making it easier for developers to implement it

@@superstar.02xo but bluetooth headphones are crap, I have galaxy budd and there is a noticable difference between when I hear something; lets use speech in movies as an example: last night I watched the bodyguard on my tab s4, there is about half a second lag between seeing Whitney's mouth move and when I hear it through the headphones.

When you did the comparison between the two "pencil" why did you have the apple pencil touching the screen and the Samsung one off of the screen? You can clearly see that it wasn't touching.
Scott Mallett the Samsung has a laminated screen, so there is an air gap between the surface the pen touches and the actual screen. This causes the parallax. This is the space you are seeing. The iPad doesn’t have this.

No matter how beautiful IPAD is, its fucking disposable. If its broken, might as well throw it away cause apple wont fix it. I bought 2 ipad pros last year, both are well taken care of, but both had a problem with motherboard almost at the same time. Apple said it cant be fixed. An independent tech asked for almost half the price of the ipad just to repair. Thats the last apple prouct i will ever buy.

My go to app to compare my real use performance on tablets has been Lightroom Mobile. On Android it lags a lot, no matter what device I use. Side by side, the adjustment levers load much quicker on even older apple devices. I would be curious to see how Lightroom does on the new Galaxy tablet.
I am not sure which Android devices you used. But I am using Samsung Tab S4 and Samsung Galaxy S9+ and Lightroom is working pretty smooth and quick. Any significant lags. I happy using Lightroom and Tab S4 (really perfect display) with S-Pen

Great video! I already own the 18.4 inch Samsung View tablet, and S9+ phone, however when I went to look at the S6 in store I could not resist just a gorgeous perfect tablet. Also over here in Australia, a bonus offer at the moment is you get Galaxy buds ( $245) when you purchase the tablet. Getting my S6 on Monday with the buds yay. 😊 By the way I noticed that the color on the iPad pro looked really yellow compared to the true color on the S6 bright with more contrast and natural. Samsung products are all ways so much better, and you all ways get more for your dollar. Samsung include the pen, you can expand the GB and in the S6 tablet the sound is a million times better than the iPad Pro. Love you Samsung😊 So excited YAY😊

I've been an Apple fan since I bought my first one, an Apple 11c, in 1985. I moved to my first Mac, a 52 KE, and on and on, through a series of desktops and laptops, ending up with a MacBook Pro. I must have spent north of 30K on computers and phones over 35 years. Now, I'm seriously looking at Chromebooks, and Android phones, because I can't support Apple anymore. Much of the software I purchased, like CS, Aperture, and even some MS products, don't work anymore, and are not supported anyway.
So, here I am, ready to give up on Apple, and looking seriously at alternatives.

Not true. The tab s6 has dex mode which is a desk top experience and is perfect for work. I use mine for university and its perfect for that With the keyboard book cover. Look at the dex reviews.
And you can do that same thing for iPad Pro with Macs.

I use face unlock on my Tab S6. You also don't have the Tab set on vivid which is making the iPad look more saturated. Personal choice though for sure.
I have this as well as the iPad pro 12.9, which I'm selling now lol. The things you don't talk about like better Google Assistant integration, which smokes Siri, better multitasking with split screen, pop out windows, pip UA-cam, and dex, which is awesome, my decision to ditch the iPad was pretty easy. Also, video is WAY better on the Tab in every aspect.
The only area I feel the iPad clearly wins is gaming, which is the reason I bought it. Turns out, I do almost zero gaming on tablets lol. Especially when I could play my switch instead. The Apple pencil is way better for drawing, but the functionality of the S pen blows it away.

@@hyper6220 Ipados is something that should already had been in Apple's first os. Still ipad os is way way behind the functionality and multitasking ability of android tablets.
Ipados instead of much pomp and show has provided the same functionality that existed since quite long on Android and still could not match android at all.
Android is based on Linux: unlimited possibilities, such a weak ios13 would never be able to compete unless its a conplete overhaul. And Apple will keep highlighting security and similar bullshit to keep justifying the drastic limitations of its os. Laptop replacement!? Never! Experience Android once.

I got the 512gb iPad pro 2018 model for almost a year now and by far it's the DOPEST piece of tech I own. iOS 13 has just made it even better. I use it for music production gaming and video consumption. MacOS Catalina Is also soo 🔥🔥 works amazing with my iPad.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is nice but it's absolutely not at the same level with apple.

Samsung has caught up quite a bit in the tablet space. All they need to improve is the S-Pen.
While it looks great, my Samsung tablet (s5e) malfunction in 2 months and they have the WORST customer service for their warranty (at least for Hong Kong). Long story short, they charged me for fixing the USB port that broke down on its own.
To give you some context, I am not an Apple fanboy, I have never brought any Apple product (I am a Sony fanboy). After I got the s5e, I accidentally made a little dent near the corner of the tablet, extremely slightly affecting less than 3mm area of the screen, and that does not affect the use of the tablet at all. Around a month after the incident, the USB port stopped working and I went to Samsung to have them fix that for me.
While I definitely have no intention to fix the dent and the screen, Samsung demands me to pay $200 dollars ($1500 HKD) to fix the screen, otherwise, they will not fix the USB port for me. Their justification is that the fixing process will further damage the screen, and they cannot fix anything if unless the tablet is in perfect condition as they have to pull out the screen first.
I think this is definitely ridiculous. Firstly, that freaking port broke down in two months! Secondly, Samsung should be responsible for any cost they need to fix THEIR MALFUNCTION PORT! They are asking me for another $200 dollars for their $400 dollars break-down-in-two-months tablet.
I have complained and they are not responding reasonably. I can only warn everyone here not to buy Samsung because of their poor quality control and awful customer service.
Edmond Cheung don’t get me started. Did you go to the office on Hennessy road in Causeway Bay? I bought my Samsung gear S2 watch to change the battery because it doesn’t charge properly. It’s a 2 year old device no warranty, so I wanted to pay for the replacement as I like the watch. They told me they can’t change the battery because I bought it in Shanghai. They said they’ll only service Samsung products bought in HK, I can go back to Shanghai if I want to fix it. Apple doesn’t pull this crap. I’m mixed with Apple products, but their customer service is really good. Their watch is ugly though, so that’s not gonna happen.
Unfortunately Samsung's customer service isn't very good. If you are considering getting a new tablet, either the Tab S6, iPad Pro or iPad Air is the way to go. An big advantage on the iPad is that you will get much better software support, for a much longer time so the overall experience on an iPad Pro/Air in 2-3 years will be much much better then the Tab S6 for example.

First off, this sounds shady as hell. You made a small dent? How the hell do you dent a tablet without hitting it lol. Sounds like you dropped it. That could impact the internals. That being said, we have Samsung centers in Bestbuy here in the US and they honor warranties in person... Provided you didn't physically damage it...
It's not necessarily a better value just because its cheaper. I don't think it would be too hard to argue that the ipad is actually the better value since you're getting laptop level performance (in some cases) for only $150 more, or even less if you compared it with the model you actually tested. Now that the 2020 ipad is out with even more processing power, 6GB RAM, ultrawide camera plus lidar, and starts at 128GB storage for the base model, it makes it even harder to say the S6 is a better value.

I’ve always been nervous of Face ID. What if you get a new hair color or pimples or new color eyeshadow if you wear any?
From what I know, Apple's Face ID doesn't really scan your face so much as the physical structure of it, with an infrared dot projection camera and an IR camera. These projected dots are invisible to the naked eye, and they scan the physical shape and structure of your face and then compare it to the data entered when the Face ID was set up. So any cosmetic changes to one's look or skin should be a non-issue. Hope this helps!

for me i would love to go for the galaxy tab one day, if their pen was a tad nicer, or closer to pen shape then a stylus shape and if Dex gets greatly improved. At the moment im using a surface tablet with the pen and loving that full laptop/pc experience. Everyone's has their own preference. this just mine.

6. Android is great for phones because of the countless customization options. But on the tablet side of things, with iOS you get optimization. Apple optimizes their hardware to work seamlessly with their software which creates the ultimate working station.

Love the Samsung tablets as i have an S4. That being said, even this model is no way better than the iPads. I don't like apple, but these tablets can't be beat. The reason: apps are actually made for the iPads. The apps i use aren't made for tablets, and it's a bummer.

Yeah I've given up on Android tablets. I love my OnePlus phones, and use the 7pro daily, but for a tablet I broke down and got the 11 inch iPad pro. No regrets at all.
