I built this exact kit back in late 2016. No bad memories of it. Did their Avia S-199 and CS-199 kits too.
Your Czech roundels are in the wrong direction. Blue goes forward. I always check colors and markings with Google Images pics.
Oh horrors! Hate to see problems like that wing damage! Good try on fixing it. I'll remember that smoke trick if I do a "battle-damaged" kit.
I have their Avia B.21 and Letov S.16 in the stash as well

Great work on a rather difficult model, painfull what happened to the wing, although, great solution :)

Just the channel I'm looking for because lets face it most kits are vintage re-boxes. I really struggle with them so hopefully I'll learn something here.
I hope you enjoy my vintage series, I'm not looking to use aftermarket or anything like that, but just to build it as is and see how well they have held up over time. Thanks for watching my video!

Great review of this old kit. I'm glad my suggestion of putting the decals in the sun got rid of the yellowing. Also good save at the end, I would of probably just trashed the kit. Looking forward to your next build.
Well I had the footage and video edited up to that point, was about to do the final reveal and end photos when it happened. With all that work done I couldn't bring myself to bin it all, so I had to find a way to complete it.

You've got the Czechoslovak emblems completely wrong! The blue wedge always points forward!
National insignia are glued backward!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, instructions in the kit show them backwards. Someone else pointed that out.

Just take good look at cover boxart. Its right there (colorfully). Sry, this is Just excuse. Its shame, because the kit is nicely built
Hello fellow modeler. Good work. I built this model as a little boy during deep communist totalitarianism. I just wanted to point out a gross mistake. The decals are wrong. On the wings, red is always towards the fuselage and blue towards the front. on the tail, red down and blue forward.
Ah gotcha, the instructions are in black and yellowed white and they indicated that way, I've got a couple more Czech aircraft so I'll make sure I'll get them the correct way for them, thanks for the correction.
