I like your background music. The intermediate blue is a little dark and the dark sea blue is a little bit light, there should be more contrast, but it's pretty good the way it is. I like the salt weathering, it looks good. The white/gray component of the exhaust staining is the lead added to the gasoline as an anti-knock agent. It's a pretty complex staining with light gray/white, tan, dark gray and sooty black. Your's is pretty good. I enjoyed the video. I might have to go and get a Mariner kit now.

Use masking tape 4:15 little 2mm or so strips.

Nice build of a beautiful model, congrats. With all that weathering this Mariner looks like the one that went down with Flight 19 in 1945. Thanks for sharing the video.

lovely, a great aircraft, you have the patience of a saint, I am still agonizing with fit problems on a 72nd scale p47.

Looks great! I recently did the PBY Catalina. It also had some frustration, but overall a great looking kit in the end. Balancing the front was a pain.

I'm just finishing this model as well. I did like that the turrets could go in after painting. I needed to put a lot of weight in the nose and the dome for it to sit on the front wheel. Thank you for sharing. One small point. Maybe give up on the music. It's hard to focus on what you're trying to share.

It was nice of Academy to give us many of these large subjects in 1/72, but the kits are often a challenge. You did a nice job and I was especially impressed by your touch with the oil weathering.

just totally destroyed this model trying to fit the top wing, total nightmare, was using it as a practice model before taking on more expensive projects but im clearly not ready

Built this kit for my Daughter. I chose to model it after how it appears at Bovington. Nice to see I was not the only one being a masochist with the exhaust wrap! Tracks are a real PITA on this kit. Cheers, great vid.

i was searching a review of this model and just wow. I normally just paint them and let them stand on their own on a shelf. but this is like opening my eyes for the first time i didnt know if its how you portrait it or its really that easy to make water without using resin Just wow.

I've played the Aerodrome (R) WWI aerial combat game since 1990 using 1/72nd scale aircraft that were built by experienced modelers. I've lost contact with the guys who built my WWI aircraft kits, how can I find experienced modelers who would be interested, OR modelers who have built WWI aircraft models they are willing to sell?

The bits in the top wingroot that fell off you say you dont know is the aileron pushrods that connect to the control collomb. Those hoop things attatched to the pushrods are a wishbone tipe assemy that actuatesb the torquetube in the wing that twists the ailerons

Great job, and very creative with the sea effects. Seeing that there are B25's on board gives you an appreciation just how big those vessels were. (are ? I'm no expert). 👍🙂
