No, he literally does lag. Because of the imperfect internet, malenia does go after an afterimage of let me solo her. That's how he is able to dodge impossible to dodge attacks. This only works as a summon

I had the honor of being summoned alongside him recently. (Host summoned us both) When I saw his name and his outfit, I gave him a bow and immediately severed finger'd my way back to my own world, because I clearly was not needed in that one.
There was a guy I summoned for Radagon named “Let Me Solo Him” He did horribly. Terribly. He didn’t dodge a single attack and spammed him flask befor dying. If you’re gonna imitate, at least do somewhat well.
They should make him a summonable ash in the DLC. Description should be “Ashes of a legendary warrior, only a fraction of his power remains.” To justify him not being op

Everyone also has to understand, when you summon someone, the boss gains more health than the boss would have if you were on your own. The fact he can still solo her while she has more health is even more fucking awesome
@@biggzzify it pretty much is, the proc does so much damage that the double health doesn't really matter, I soloed her with an unapgraded uchi and it didn't matter that I was doing garbage damage since eventually the bleed procs and melts her.
I mean that's the key, if you panic with low HP left you are death. It's kind of his mentality, you can't go back in time, you just gotta do everything at time.
It's pretty easy to dodge. You just dodge through the direction she is coming. First flurry almost always misses unless you stand in it, second dodge forward through it while locked on, third dodge backward after breaking lock with one extra dodge to make sure it doesn't do a 180 track on you. Safe.

What took me countless tries to just get her to the last quarter of her health took that man 5 minutes to destroy her. I met someone on ps4 called let me farm her and I was like ok he’s either gonna die or be a god and he killed her, I felt the same way it was exciting but I felt dissatisfied cause I couldn’t beat her even with a bleed build, but sometimes you gotta take an L and get help to get a W
Been keeping up with this real life lore. I relate with this character to a degree; been streaming as of late and had to fight Malenia a bunch before figuring it out. I always feel like I must progress on stream, but lately I’ve been helping people with Maliketh because…. Maliketh. it feels nice to be helpful in a game with so many clips of people breaking their computer components over the difficulty of certain fights. I love that this guy dedicated himself to helping people with this fight. I never thought multiplayer would become so inspirational within the Elden Ring community.
I have a feeling they will add him in the future. If I'm not mistaken though this is a character that existed in the lore because you can find his body in seluvus hidden room of puppets.
Imagine if Fromsoft made him an invader in the DLC that has their dodge skills just maximized. It’s in an area where you can avoid it, so only the brave ones get their cheeks clapped.
I used to solo Midir for people back in the days of DS3. It’s certainly not as monumental as beating Malenia but it felt good regardless. The honest truth is that Midir is far easier when his attention is focused on you than on anything else, I’m curious if LMSH feels the same about Malenia.

The ‘waiting for attack’ thing is annoying but past games have bosses that do that too, you can usually keep them active by spamming shield/parrying or throwing an item at the boss. Midir is definitely one of the most cinematic bosses though, I only wish his arena was better looking.
When Malenia says “I’ve finally met my match” I felt so ashamed for not even trying to beat her alone and had 2 max lvl mages help me 🤦🏾♂️ just to see this dude man handle the strongest boss in the game is rlly motivating Ik it must’ve taken so long
At the end of that fight you can see the visual frustration on his face that his opponent didn't last longer. A legend with no borders. He will never seize.
I read an article on this guy (Yes, he's become THAT famous) and he said he tried her 240+ times before he beat her alone. I went through nearly 40 attempts with 2 human summons, so you can tell the pain he's been through to get that good. What I will say is that because of this guy that water fowl dance is no longer a death sentence if she targets me with it.

On my first play through I got her on the fourth try but I used a summon for her second phase feeling insecure in my abilities, but on my next run with a brand new character I'm going to try to go through the entire game without any summons. Looking back I'd have to say that the boss I struggled the most with was actually the Death Rite Bird in Caelid. The terrain caused me to mess up so many times, I think I died at least 12 times due to getting stuck on a tree or a rock, on or off Torrent. When I switched to my backup holy weapons I got it right away, but overall that proved to be the greatest challenge for me. The two Valiant Gargoyles were pretty difficult as well but I was some what under-levelled and had not leveled up any summons significantly by that point to where they could survive even the first one. I look forward to challenging myself by not using summons anywhere, I see a lot of people have done so and I'd like to see if I can, too.
Damn, really? She was hard af but it didn’t take me anywhere near that many tries and I beat her at level 85 with 25 vigor. Anybody know what level he was at when he originally fought her? Did he say in the article?
@@BryGuyJohn He did say he died 240+ on an interview with IGN but I feel like he intentionally dies before killing Malenia to practice and perfect this specific battle until the point where he can dodge everything.
Just one of those real good gamers that can see and learn and remember mechanics and has awesome timing and reaction speed people could do it but you must have time , dedication and a love for it all.

@@pokekiller787x "tell me you haven't fought malenia as a phantom without telling me" or, at the very least, you probably have bad luck. The lag actually benefits you if you're not going for parries as a phantom because, most of the time, malenia will be targeting where you were a second or so ago as opposed to targeting where you are at the present moment. This is why he's able to consistently roll backwards and not get hit: something that wouldn't work as a solo host because her tracking was made to specifically punish that kind of rolling (spam rolling back)
You know when I was first learning this fight, it occurred to me that the only way to truly be able to take her out on your own would be to master the spacing of her attacks. Which requires patience I don't have and this is why this man is legend

I had to master the spacing of my own attacks too. With the Golden Halberd you can just straight up swing at her while she’s walking up a lot of times if you time it to hit at absolute maximum range. She staggers easy so it cancels a few of her attacks and sometimes she’s still so far she’d just walk at me again which gave me another shot. Weaving just out of her range and just into mine was a most beautiful dance.
I worked on Sekiro with Fromsoftware in my ATVI days. To see this, a legend go untouched. Flooring to me. My hats off to Let me Solo Her, I am done in game design.
On the run I beat her I managed to point blank dodge the Waterfowl dance 3-5 times. But I could never dodge the first flurry completely. Not being locked on made it easier to dodge the first flurry but I also dodged the second and third flurries not locked on. Tbh the two moves that made me spend so much time on her were the Waterfowl and the clone move. Seeing him do it without almost taking no damage was breathtaking; I hope to solo her for someone else one day
I only had 25 vigor when I beat her (and still currently) so I really couldn’t tank even the first flurry most of the time. I just used a shield to block the first part when I was too close and then I’d dodge the rest so she didn’t guard-break me. I gotta watch my recording back but I’m pretty sure on the run I finally won she used Waterfowl like 8-9 times. Edit: I watched it back. She used Waterfowl Dance 13 times on my winning run. 5 times in phase 1 and 8 in phase 2.

I just know I managed to dodge it point blank 5 times, but the other times she did it I just outran the first two flurries or the whole thing. I was determined to beat her with katana alone; I fought her again online using a shield. Probably could've beat her in under a hour with it to be honest
Those are the 2 moves that screw everyone. I had an easy time with every other move, even her phase 2 AoE (unlock amd just sprint towards her). But damn dance and clones always got me

I've beaten the entire Souls series plus Sekiro on keyboard only multiple times over, it's not that difficult. But soloing Malenia with that level of skill would be an extraordinary feat no matter what platform you're on.

Elden Ring feels and looks like Dark Souls 2: Remake. It doesn't feel "dark" like 1 or 3, it feels like a grim fairy tale and it is amazing. I always thought Dark Souls 2 had great concepts and had a lot of wasted potential.
I'm a 45yo player and beat Melania on the 2nd day of trying (I used a spirit ash but still was super hard). Real tough lady, I would say she and the Dragonlord Placidusax were the most hard bosses for me.
This is the thing with Soul games, you have bosses that are hard for one player but to another they are easy. I beat Placidusax on my second attempt. Then again I spent two whole freaking days, with summons and ashes, trying to defeat the gargoile pair in Nokron. But Malenia is one of the few bosses that are universally difficult.
Same. Took me about 15 tries over 2 days and used Mimic Tear +10. I have to also say I feel I got a little lucky. I thought Elden Beast or Malekith was second toughest. I was better off blocking with barricade shield then trying to dodge.
Bro, it was so funny when I was killing her one of the tries I summoned this fella thinking he was not gonna do it so I helped him as soon as we entered, I hit her once and he let her kill him, he really means it to solo her lmao.
That probably wasn't him then, or he was lagging super bad. He's said in an interview he doesn't mind working with other players to kill her when he joins a game. He's also stated that there are imposters who have tried to pretend to be him, and try and give him a bad name by pulling things like that.
Let Me Solo Her seems like the kinda person who will do whatever it takes to make sure you can do anything. I want to see whoever it is get ever nicety the world has to offer.
Honestly, I was expecting him to be running, gun blazing then straight up dying 5 seconds later 😂. I know he’s helluva good at the game, but I was half expecting him to make a mistake.
I enjoyed figuring out how to solo her myself (taking more tries than I care to admit), but it was so satisfying once I finally did. I woke up my wife from downstairs when I yelled in triumph 😂 that being said, I’m going one and done with this demon. She can stay where she is on NG+
they need to make like a dedication to this guy somehow. Maybe in the DLC there will be like a secret reference to him when you speak to an NPC or you can stumble upon a statue of his character. Such a legend and the game essentially just came out.

I went through nearly 40 attempts with 2 human summons, so you can tell the pain he's been through to get that good. What I will say is that because of this guy that water fowl dance is no longer a death sentence if she targets me with it.

@neeger man I think I summoned him into my game yesterday... not sure if it was him I was on Elden beast he deadass solod Radagon and Elden beast... I wanted to fight along side him but needed to see the legend for my own eyes it was glorious!!!!!! I cheered soo loud!!! A true chad!!!

On my first play through I got her on the fourth try but I used a summon for her second phase feeling insecure in my abilities, but on my next run with a brand new character I'm going to try to go through the entire game without any summons. Looking back I'd have to say that the boss I struggled the most with was actually the Death Rite Bird in Caelid. The terrain caused me to mess up so many times, I think I died at least 12 times due to getting stuck on a tree or a rock, on or off Torrent. When I switched to my backup holy weapons I got it right away, but overall that proved to be the greatest challenge for me. The two Valiant Gargoyles were pretty difficult as well but I was some what under-levelled and had not leveled up any summons significantly by that point to where they could survive even the first one. I look forward to challenging myself by not using summons anywhere, I see a lot of people have done so and I'd like to see if I can, too.
So that means his mission is not for honor or helping others. It's for vengeance.
This dude has probably sunk more hours into this boss alone than i've sunk into all games in the last 6 months

@@BryGuyJohn He did say he died 240+ on an interview with IGN but I feel like he intentionally dies before killing Malenia to practice and perfect this specific battle until the point where he can dodge everything.
Just one of those real good gamers that can see and learn and remember mechanics and has awesome timing and reaction speed people could do it but you must have time , dedication and a love for it all.

his practise accounts for lag now as well. with every killed version of malenia in an alternate universe the consumer grows stronger. for one day he will brake his shakles and rise
What’s crazy is that she sometimes lags and quickly rushes you with her flower and he still dodges. Guy’s insane.

@@pokekiller787x "tell me you haven't fought malenia as a phantom without telling me" or, at the very least, you probably have bad luck.
The lag actually benefits you if you're not going for parries as a phantom because, most of the time, malenia will be targeting where you were a second or so ago as opposed to targeting where you are at the present moment.
This is why he's able to consistently roll backwards and not get hit: something that wouldn't work as a solo host because her tracking was made to specifically punish that kind of rolling (spam rolling back)
You know when I was first learning this fight, it occurred to me that the only way to truly be able to take her out on your own would be to master the spacing of her attacks. Which requires patience I don't have and this is why this man is legend
Buckler shield and learn to parry. Swap to Turtle shield when she does the op sword dance, swap back to buckler and keep parrying

I had to master the spacing of my own attacks too. With the Golden Halberd you can just straight up swing at her while she’s walking up a lot of times if you time it to hit at absolute maximum range.
She staggers easy so it cancels a few of her attacks and sometimes she’s still so far she’d just walk at me again which gave me another shot.
Weaving just out of her range and just into mine was a most beautiful dance.
I worked on Sekiro with Fromsoftware in my ATVI days. To see this, a legend go untouched. Flooring to me. My hats off to Let me Solo Her, I am done in game design.

On the run I beat her I managed to point blank dodge the Waterfowl dance 3-5 times. But I could never dodge the first flurry completely. Not being locked on made it easier to dodge the first flurry but I also dodged the second and third flurries not locked on. Tbh the two moves that made me spend so much time on her were the Waterfowl and the clone move. Seeing him do it without almost taking no damage was breathtaking; I hope to solo her for someone else one day
I only had 25 vigor when I beat her (and still currently) so I really couldn’t tank even the first flurry most of the time. I just used a shield to block the first part when I was too close and then I’d dodge the rest so she didn’t guard-break me.
I gotta watch my recording back but I’m pretty sure on the run I finally won she used Waterfowl like 8-9 times.
Edit: I watched it back. She used Waterfowl Dance 13 times on my winning run. 5 times in phase 1 and 8 in phase 2.

I just know I managed to dodge it point blank 5 times, but the other times she did it I just outran the first two flurries or the whole thing. I was determined to beat her with katana alone; I fought her again online using a shield. Probably could've beat her in under a hour with it to be honest
Those are the 2 moves that screw everyone. I had an easy time with every other move, even her phase 2 AoE (unlock amd just sprint towards her). But damn dance and clones always got me

I've beaten the entire Souls series plus Sekiro on keyboard only multiple times over, it's not that difficult. But soloing Malenia with that level of skill would be an extraordinary feat no matter what platform you're on.

Elden Ring feels and looks like Dark Souls 2: Remake. It doesn't feel "dark" like 1 or 3, it feels like a grim fairy tale and it is amazing. I always thought Dark Souls 2 had great concepts and had a lot of wasted potential.
But have you played it? Nothing was wasted, except maybe weapon attrition was a bit too harsh, especially on thinner bladed weapons like the katana

I'm a 45yo player and beat Melania on the 2nd day of trying (I used a spirit ash but still was super hard). Real tough lady, I would say she and the Dragonlord Placidusax were the most hard bosses for me.
Placidusax is rough but he's my top three fav boss fight!
This is the thing with Soul games, you have bosses that are hard for one player but to another they are easy. I beat Placidusax on my second attempt.
Then again I spent two whole freaking days, with summons and ashes, trying to defeat the gargoile pair in Nokron.
But Malenia is one of the few bosses that are universally difficult.
Same. Took me about 15 tries over 2 days and used Mimic Tear +10. I have to also say I feel I got a little lucky. I thought Elden Beast or Malekith was second toughest. I was better off blocking with barricade shield then trying to dodge.
I got through her on NG+, but the dragon whipped my ass for two straight days.
I didn't find Placidusax that hard frustrating at times but not that hard. I found him fun to beat.

That probably wasn't him then, or he was lagging super bad. He's said in an interview he doesn't mind working with other players to kill her when he joins a game. He's also stated that there are imposters who have tried to pretend to be him, and try and give him a bad name by pulling things like that.
Let Me Solo Her seems like the kinda person who will do whatever it takes to make sure you can do anything. I want to see whoever it is get ever nicety the world has to offer.

they need to make like a dedication to this guy somehow. Maybe in the DLC there will be like a secret reference to him when you speak to an NPC or you can stumble upon a statue of his character. Such a legend and the game essentially just came out.
