- This is the second series of test / training services this year and I am pleased to report the weather was much better on this occasion. A late running service train was in front of the Brit so there was a risk of a slow run past. However the Brit was held at a red light just before the location we were standing so we were treated to run past from a standing start.
I hope you enjoy this short video featuring No. 70000 'Britannia'.
Nice video John. Good to see Britannia out and about. Jeff.
Jeff, Nice to hear from you and many thanks for your comment. Regards, John
Nice one! Lovely shot of Britannia and the new wmr trains! Keep it up
Thanks and I will try. Regards, John
A nice view of 'Britannia' passing through. Good video!
Allan, Nice to hear from you and thanks for your comment. Regards, John
Excellent shots John, that signal stop did you a favour, the Brit was sounding very nice indeed, regards nige 👍
Nige, Yes the signal stop was perfect as nothing worse than a locomotive coasting past. Regards, John
Good shots John, nice crisp start away from the signal. I'd say the crews have been trained well!
Austin, That's a thought and perhaps the training includes the best way of presenting the locomotive to the audience. Regards, John
I have to say I do like Britannia with these coaches.....Nice video.
I am not sure the purists would agree but I like the combination. Regards, John
@@GreatBritishRailways1 I regard myself as a purist, but I'm never against the occasional change.
Stunning footage John, she's in fine fettle at the moment. Been on that platform a few times when my Son was stationed at the RAF Base at Cosford....Regards....Bob
Thanks Bob and I guess you would have stood on the wooden platforms that were in place up until 2012. Regards, John
Nice catch, cant beat a standing start!
Thanks for your comment and I agree I would rather have a locomotive accelerating than rushing past. Regards, John
Cosford today was a good choice John! The Tuesday and Wednesday runs were somewhat leisurely, so nice to see some spirited running today. For once a good result from a late train🙂
Andrew, Having suffered a monsoon on the Mayflower run it was certainly good to produce a good capture of the Brit. Thanks for your comment. Regards, John
Nice video John :)
I appreciate your comment. Regards, John
Nice one John it’s now Britannias turn to do a test run after mayflower
Scott, Hopefully Blue Peter will be on the circular journey at some point in the future. Regards, John
@@GreatBritishRailways1 yeah because I’ve yet to see that loco myself
You should be so lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky,
You should be so lucky in love. With Britannia that is, pardon the little lyric here, lol.
Thanks for your unusual comment. Regards, John
