I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I put up a few more videos this week of some camping trips from last year and one of a 3 day trip we did a few weeks ago. Hoping to do more from this winter.
Hello from Belfast lads. I remember earlier this year looking at the snow on the mournes from Belfast, I never had an idea it would be like siberia! Well done!
I can only imagine what it was like. 🤣🤣.. Looking forward to us haveing some in Pembrokeshire Wales????. Maybe this year. Thank you for sharing. Atb Andy
@@johnrossmacmathuna2231 over the pasted years it's being rain more then anything. Thunder storms an exciting lightning. One weekend me an mi mate. Had too come down off the hills because of the lightning. It was bad lol. Great to see tho.

I could last 2 or 3 days of that but only if I knew what was coming but the following would make it total bliss... A comfy bed with a decent pillow and a blow up mattress/mat type of thing with a decent sleeping bag/duvet A good hangy up light with spare batteries Music or a radio going in the backround with something to keep her charged A little stove for one pot food and lots of coffee, Maybe Stew or a big fry up with with fresh bread and butter and a few cupasoups A bottle of Whiskey/ Vodka and a bag of grass/weed etc and something fizzy to drink Let it snow, Let it snow,Let it snow etc. I am nearly 60btw so I know what I like. Loved your Video, Thank You from Dublin Ireland.
That's a cracking video although I think I'd have at least kept the boots inside the tent! I'm looking forward to getting out this winter if I get the chance.
well , Mike Horn did cross the Soul Pole in those kind of conditions back in 2016 - to be the first man to kite surf 5,100 Kms in 57 days ( world record ) .
That’s serious lads. What sorta sleeping beg would you be using up there? I’ve been up bearnagh and binian in those conditions but only for a days hiking, not a camp. maybe give it a go this winter, an upgrade of gear will be needed though.
I have a good Big agnes bag the orno it is rated to -18. The mat is important too. I use two mats. The main thing is to be practiced putting up and taking down the tent in a lot of wind.
@@johnrossmacmathuna2231 I’ve only had a few camps…up at hares gap, the blue lough and lough shannagh, all in decent weather so there’s been no issues with getting it up and down, be a different story in those conditions, but sure it’s the making of ya. another addition for heat would be a half bottle of Jameson, but suppose that’s personal taste. 😆 . Cheers
Thanks! We both know the area very well so are quite comfortable there despite the conditions. We have a top notch tent and sleeping bags but after that its whatever we have.
Hey there and thanks for watching! The problem was more that the damp from the boots getting wet earlier in the day just froze the boots solid. It was well below freezing even in the tent. A bag probably wouldn't have stopped them from freezing.

Rather foolish to go camping in such conditions. If one or both had fallen and injured themselves they could have died of hypothermia before help arrived.
To be fair we had a 4 season tent with us, Sleeping bags rated to -20C, Mats, Spare clothing, Spare food, We had a physical wall we could follow to safety, we planned it so the wall was there for shelter from the wind. We had two people both with years of experience in the area and in this weather. Had we fallen or broke anything we could have hunkered in our tent in the sleeping bags for as long as it took for help to arrive. The weather improved significantly after the video and the snow was thawing and sun was out within 6 hours of the end of the video.
You’ve sold me on the Jannu. Awesome video 👍🏽
That looked wild! A nice fire and drink after that, hello from London
Great Vid,Thats a winter camp. Many thanks for insight,Iv never done camping,But love watching all the vids,Yours is TOPS,,,Keep safe X.
Superb lads, awra best from Scotland..........looks ace. 👍
Thank you. The weather you guys get in the Scottish mountains is a notch up again!
Fair play, rather you than me! That looks baltic, I definitely need to get a more wind resistant tent before attempting anything like this.
It was cold but a lot of fun. Hoping to get some similar weather again this year.
That was wild! Thanks for the adventure!
