I really enjoy the content and your presentation of it. Great channel! The Bose AM-5 was my first real speaker purchase in 1992 and they were impressive from both a size and sound perspective. Then I discovered that they basically combined package in a tower with the 10.2. Fast forward a few decades and after hearing the "No high, no lows...must be Bose" for as long, I decided that I wanted to challenge that widely held sentiment. My plan was to retro fit high end drivers into the Bose cabinets and then ask listeners critical of Bose sound to rate the speaker (and then make a UA-cam video series of it). Well, I made it as far purchasing the Bose 10.2's and removing the drivers to examine the interior and check measurements. The only roadblock to moving forward is in the area of driver specifications and selection. Then I found your channel and immediately realized that it's better to see this idea come to fruition through your audience than for me to try and build a following with it(which may never happen). I'm certain that this project would do a lot towards getting your subscribers to 100K. Your channel has really inspired me, so I might be moving on this idea sooner thanks to you.
Dude that would be an excellent idea. I like the idea of the subwoofer hidden under the bed. I'm looking forward to getting the third video out to show everyone their true response and what I think about them.
Yes for the baby room and then the drum kit. Subs for the main room. Figure 6-8 in a multi sided enclosure. Quick fast snappy bass. That will wake the baby up. Play Sandman Years ago ran a car deck an a pair of Vifa M10 mids on the brake levers. Now what sub or full range to use to have a nice full, sound. Class D Bluetooth amp in this bad boy. Rolling past a beat cop who mistakenly pulled over a car, the face on the officer face.
Very very nice, extremely reminiscent of the OG computer speakers of the 90's (Altec, Boston Acoustic..) With a wood veneer finish, you could command a nice price for these, market is ripe for a quality PC speaker thats not too pricey IMHO.
I would love u to bring it my home so we can compare it to my bose lifestyle system I find it very hard to believe it would be as good and astonishing if it was better i have heard many small speakers from the audio would and as much as bose do make some crap there better then the rest of the tiny speakers out there but credit where its due it looks good
Bose Never Made a "SubWoofer" They made an Acoustimass Module which is NOTHING like what you built here? Besides, the AM-5 System came out over 30 years ago... What are trying to prove other than Bashing Bose? Nice Project building a Sat/Sub system, should have left out the Bose Comparison/Bashing because you're comparing apples and Oranges!

Excellent work, beautiful system! I like your advice, "Use all the clamps you need then add 3 more". Sounds like me . Cheers!!
Looks soo clean and neat.Waiting for the audio test.
That's coming up soon. Along with the measurements and some of the things I've learned along the way with these particular drivers.
Always a good surprise with theses drivers, nice job Nick.
Nice build and those drivers look impressive
Awesome just what I was thinking! Bet this would rock as a bedroom theater solution and put the sub under the bed.

@@Toid I was looking around for this video and can’t find it, did you give up on a follow up?
@@Cujobob curious about this to!
This looks so cool with a plain front and the drivers and ports hidden from view. Still punch the power.👌🏻👌🏻
Awe-Sound Build!!
P.S. Please lose the background "pop" music, or atleast turn it down a few notches, like down to zero :)
9:33 throwback to the 123Toid era
Haha! I think you're the first one to catch that! I was wondering if anyone was going to.
Thanks brother from India
Bose cubes are such an absurdly low bar. Real nice build from you regardless, keep up the work!
Very cool build!
But please install the riving knife back on to the table saw :)
This is an old saw didn't come with a riving knife.
Slick design. Is there a distributor for these drivers in the US?
Not yet. You can buy them from THLP, I do believe they so everywhere
You forgot to put glue on the bracing when closing the box, maybe you can still reach that part through the driver holes.
I've been waiting a year to see him take a sledgehammer to this sub for that !
Just waiting for the sound test ✌️
Coming oi the last video on the series
Great video love those speakers they look great
Thanks Scott
If I could give any advice to ne speaker builders it would be to GET A FLUSH TRIM BIT!! Those things are a life saver
Please, build underseat subwoofer box...TQ
What where the slot port measurements, 18 mm X 110 mm ?
You have some very manly clamps but I still don't see a red blade on that table saw. Great job, by the way.
Actually need to get a new blade for it. Maybe a red one will be in my future 😉
Would love to see the frequency response of the sub and cub s together
That will be coming in the next video
@@Toid looking forward to it. Thx.
Good work love it
Hi Nick, is that a Carbide 3D cnc?
That was a shapeoko. I’ve since upgraded to a CNC4Newbie
How much for that system
I wish the link worked so I could buy these subs.
Not sure what you mean. The link works fine for me.
Everything is better then Bose, but still; nice job!

Mini cube speakers should be updated
with better louder smaller BMR drivers.
Cool
👍
I have a 5 channel amp..will only use 3.
too thin port walls for me overall nice
Nice...

Almost anything would be better.
I had to use a different browser. 🤣 Sorry. I got it.
No worries. Thanks for letting me know. 👍😁
Great DIY vid, but dude, the music has to go.
No no no, that fucking music bro, no!
