Hey, I'm a dedicated Queen/Freddy Mercury fan, especially of this song. I'm also a ZBB fan, big time. I would have never thought ZBB would have attempted this song, let alone pulled it off LIVE with such great success. This cover was a tribute to Queen and even they never performed the song totally live. Some mean vocals/harmony/instrument playing going on. Awesome job ZBB!! This is the only band (regardless of genre) that I would lay down $500 for a ticket to see in concert. Fire away, critics.
Megadog I totally agree! The 1st song I heard by ZBB was Toes - and although I loved the song (not so much the video), I never dreamed they had the depth I've come to appreciate. I'd been away from country (back to the classic rock era - 60's 70's) for several years and was very pleasantly surprised to hear that *special something* I'd not heard in several decades. I'd be hard pressed to name just *one* favorite of theirs, but if I had to, I guess I'd have to say "Colder Weather." Thanks for the conversation. All the best.
One thing to keep in mind while watching this. This is being done"LIVE"!!!!!!!! No backing tracks are used at all. Most performers use backing tracks at all their live shows. I forgot the magic of true LIVE performances. Great Job!!!!!!!!
I haven't been a country fan since I was a little kid, back when Garth Brooks first started in the scene, and country music went down hill quick for me during that time. These guys are crazy talented, not only is their country music good like the old stuff, but they have the respect for all the best rockers out there.
+Larry Browning hell, even Queen didn't play the whole thing live. They used a prerecorded track for the crazy middle section. This version here is incredible. I don't go in for modern country music but I gotta give it up for Zac Brown and his band.
That's beyond versatility! When it's all said and done, Zac Brown will be known as one of the greatest vocalists of all time... and ZBB will have its place in music history!
Love how respectful they were to the original piece. They didn't go crazy and change a bunch, they just covered it and left it at that. I'm a crazy Queen fan and I hate when people cover any of their songs but this was good. Props to zbb
It's difficult to hide talent when it's this obvious. I'm glad they perform other great musical artist's work. Not only does it exhibit their talent but pays tribute to those who came before. Most of us just come and go in this world, but the great ones live on.
Props to the Zac Brown band for attempting the impossible! I'm not a country fan, but am now a Zac Brown fan. This is an excellent cover and may actually introduce Queen to a whole new demographic. No one is Freddie Mercury and Queen, but this tribute is incredible.
I reiterate, no one, As in NO ONE, is Freddie Mercury, but this tribute to him and Queen, only reinforces how good he/they were when he was alive. This "live" version, as in "one take" without the help of the London Opera or back up singers is an excellent "ATTEMPT" and can still help a whole new generation of young music lovers gain an appreciation for the original. That one performance as WEAK as it was, positively affected 10s of thousands of people in the moment and that's really what it was all about.
No one I mean no one could do this better than Zac Brown did here....Freddy Mercury would be so proud of the justice this band did....totally AWESOME...
ABSOLUTLEY THE BEST RENDITION OF THAT SONG LIVE SINCE FREDDY. THIS HAS BEEN MY FAVORITE BAND FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. THESE PEOPLE ARE SO TALENTED. THEY GOT ME WITH HWY 20 RIDE, AND COLDER WEATHER, AND WALKING AWAY. IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THESE GUYS. KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi on June 13th...will see Zach Brown Band L I V E with my bride of six weeks who doesn't even like country...that is a real test for ZBB...and Free, Annie, Toes...and Bohemian Rhapsody...will make a fan out of her and I !!!
You just f'ing killed that...I got the chills at the end I did...so comforting to know there's at least one newer band with some talent... First heard of this band watching that Dave Grohl documentary that was on HBO and was impressed with the singers guitar skills in the few clips they played.. Actually was watching DMB Crash Into Me which related to this Zac Brown band playing Comfortably Numb w/ John Mayer which related to this awesome awesome version of one of the greatest songs ever...they did the opera part people😜.. Now where's that Bohemian Rhapsody sung by Elton John & Axl Rose??😁😁.. I like when the 2 of them sing the very end together..gets me every time.. Long live bands that play instruments and sing their songs without computers 😏
Thank you, Freddie, for your incomparable song that will continue to inspire generations of new artists as long as humans can hear. You will always be the best of the best.
+Patsy Cicala Miss Patsy, to my knowledge, Queen never performed Bohemian Rhapsody live in its entirety. With only three voices (bassist John Deacon never sang on the song), Zac Brown Band did what Queen never was able to do.
Words cannot describe my love for Zac Brown Band. I have been a huge fan of them since I was 10 (I am 14 now) and they will always be my favorite band. Seeing this cover makes me love them even more!
I was about 14 when Queen was a hot new band. I think you're backing a winner with ZBB. They are fantastic musicians, just like Queen and all the great bands from the 70's that I loved.
How ironic that one of the best bands to keep classic rock alive and well is a country band. Metallica, Queen, Rage, Zeppelin, Black Sabbath...they do it all!
This brings up a point. Today's so-called Hot New Country is the same music that might have been promoted as Rock & Roll not all that long ago. AND I LIKE IT!
They did a great job I am a huge Queen fan and the whole band did a fantastic cover. The drumming, the guitar playing, and Zac Brown's vocals we're outstanding. Great Job ZBB.
ZBB rocks the shit out of this song. No matter how many times see it .... best part is Zac’s smile at the end. A great ending to a fantastic performance. ZBB is the light in the craptacular 2020/2021 pandemic. 👏🏻🙏🏻
What the fuck ever. The guy singing the high part sounds like he is about to bust a hemorrhoid he is straining so hard to hit the notes. Zac Brown Band is good at what they do. But they are not Queen.
***** ok. well then they dont have the ability to have 180 overdubs on a live set. lol plus even queen doesnt sing that part live except for freddie's part
Chris Green Exactly. Soooo don't try to do it if you can't pull it off. Or do it and sound like shit. But seriously. They sound fine except for the high part. That is brutal.
With out a doubt, hand on my heart the best rendition of Queen I have ever been blessed to hear. I salute you Zach Brown Band, loved your music for a few years now. God bless from Matt in the UK.
The best cover ive ever heard of this song! Zack aint2 Freddie and they ain't Queen but thats hands down the closest/tightest performance to the original ive ever heard!
Mr. Brown, this is just HILARIOUS!!! I am a huge Queen fan and hearing you performing Bohemian Rhapsody with such big heart and work... and COMPLETELY LIVE... My huge respect and love to you and your band!!!)))
Talented musicians, not pretty faces that are packaged, and marketed for profit, but actually real talented people. They will always be recognized and stand the test of time. Love these guys!
You've got to have some balls to do the operetto-part entirely live! Rad!
Henrik Bengtsson The best part is the huge grins on everyone's face after the operetta because they all know they nailed it
They're just that good.
Yes but their balls didn't work
@@SergioSantos-yv1pz Freddie probably abused them

Megadog Yeah, I was so blown away after listening, I didn't check my typing skills. Thanks for the *gentle* correction! It's fixed now ;)

Sorry, not even close. Find a Freddie Mercury take live. Stick with Country please. You will never be rock and roll. RIP Freddie
If you pay 500 to see ZBB you have really been taken for a sucker
Man, these guys must be amazing live. They cover all sorts of stuff, and I love their own stuff, too.
+GTTeancum They are awesome live. I have seen them every time they have come to town!
+GTTeancum saw them last summer, with out a doubt one of the best concerts ever...
They are fucking fantastic
i saw Zac live. Yeah, it's all that and more.
I got free tickets for them for July 22 and i can not wait

Yes!
Because all the Vocals was Freddie... Freddie sang the Opera parts
Not true. Mercury sang the middle register, May the low register, and drummer Roger Taylor the high register - overlaying 160 tracks of overdubs.
That's beyond versatility! When it's all said and done, Zac Brown will be known as one of the greatest vocalists of all time... and ZBB will have its place in music history!
CplSki USMC SEMPER FI Cpl I agree Thank you for your service Capt Skip Archer Sr USMC Ret.
Now THIS, is how you do a Queen cover! Zac Brown is quickly becoming one of my favorite bands.
Love how respectful they were to the original piece. They didn't go crazy and change a bunch, they just covered it and left it at that. I'm a crazy Queen fan and I hate when people cover any of their songs but this was good. Props to zbb
ZZB knows this one is their toughest cover. He is also knows that Queen is the King of R&R.
There’s a definite difference in the key
It's difficult to hide talent when it's this obvious. I'm glad they perform other great musical artist's work. Not only does it exhibit their talent but pays tribute to those who came before. Most of us just come and go in this world, but the great ones live on.

Dale Raines It was fairly weak IMHO - It was basically nothing compared to the real thing. As in NOTHING
I reiterate, no one, As in NO ONE, is Freddie Mercury, but this tribute to him and Queen, only reinforces how good he/they were when he was alive. AccuSpect Inspections Zac Brown is on a whole other level. Would love for them to do the full version of "Into the Mystic".
@@Cabinator where do you perform so I can come check out one of your shows
Dear Kanye,
This is how you cover Bohemian Rhapsody.
Sincerely,
The world
Andrew Macdonald ^this
Andrew Macdonald This sir, is the best comment ever! Thumbs up to you.
Andrew Macdonald Beat me to it! Kudos, dear sir! Well spoken.
Man, I was going to make a Kayne comment but got beat!
Andrew Macdonald I was gonna make this same comment... you beat me to it!
Somewhere ya gotta believe that Freddie's smiling. Need I say more?
This song is not easy to pull off especially the operatic singing harmonies. Really impressed with the musicianship here.
this is hands down the best cover I've ever heard
+Agni Banerjee I'm gonna check that out now
You should watch Panic! At The Disco perform it. It's amazing!
Listen to Jennifer Nettles' cover. It's awesome!
cagarcia nah, it's kinda ruins the classic but whatever floats your boat.
Marc Martel probably does the best cover. He's amazing

Not many bands left I would love to see live but this is one of them.
Stephen Phelps they're fantastic. If you get the chance, it's more than worth the money
Zac Brown Band has my heart!! 😍 Forever my favorite band of all time.
Zak Brown Band..WOW!!!!! Outstanding vocals and harmonies..you guys are awesome.
This is a whole 'nother side of them that I've never seen before. I like it!
can't beat queen, but they did it justice

Justin Lujan damn right he did!
Thank you, Freddie, for your incomparable song that will continue to inspire generations of new artists as long as humans can hear. You will always be the best of the best.
Does this song justice for sure
That's one hell of a cover .... kudos
Considering even queen didn't play this song live very often(like 2 times ever) I would say zac brown band killed this song
They played it frequently on tour, except they'd play the recording of the "opera section" because they didn't have the numbers. Voice-wise, I mean.
My dad saw Queen perform this. He said they had a track sing the opera part while the change for the big rock part. It was amazing he said.
This is the real deal. voices, harmony, and musical prowess. If you ever got a chance to see Queen do this... this performance is awesome

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!! Who would've thought these guys had it in them!? Superb performance of a classic song.
Damn, even QUEEN themselves have never performed this choir part live!!!
Bartek Piwowarczyk it wouldve been practically impossible with only 4 band members and in the 1970’s
It's a shame this wasnt a performance for Queen at the Kennedy Honors while Freddie smiled on them
@@jackderoche5483 yeah its a bit easier for a band with like 20 members than it would be for Queen with 4
@@tylercady3985 There are only five band members singing on this one though.
Freddie sang all the Opera parts... That's why
I love his little smile after the last note, it was like, see what we can do!
This is the best newest band, I've seen in awhile !! ........
Freddie Mercury was the finest rock singer ever.. Zac is good enough to tackle this very hard-to-sing song and really bring it to life. I'm impressed.

Great performance
Absolutely fantastic rendition by one of the most talented bands I’ve ever heard. Zak Brown is a god!
This band can pretty much nail every cover they do. Definitely amazing; there's popular artists that don't have half the talent as these guys.
This is such a hard song to get right
Zac Brown Band knocks it out of the park
As usual❤❤❤
Zac Brown Band isn’t just a country band, they’re just a band and they just might be the best band in the world.
