Regarding breathing in space, some imperium ships are so massive they have their own natural and sometimes artificial atmospheres.
Idk if they were on a ship there, but either way i think it was an open area.
During the Horus Heresy, the Ultramarine primarch fought on the hull of his capital ship without a helm for hours, after being blown out of his bridge.

I think it is simply the planet's low-atmosphere layer. Plenty much already in space, but still considered within the planet's gravitational pull and with some oxygen.
I love how the whole time playing Nano doesn't realize he can zoom in and aim instead of just shooting from the hip. Never change Nano, never change.

I was so confused by that "I was on Calth when the Word Bearers attacked" comment, then I suddenly remembered that in addition to all the other strange storytelling decisions, the first Primaris Marines were all frozen in a vault for ten thousand years, and have no idea of anything that happened after the Scouring. Like... that's a hundred novels worth of stories that they just skipped over.

Specially since the Guard's tactics agaisnt Tiranids and Orks is normally just spamming "UNLIMITED FIREPOWAHHHHH!", to such a degree I dare to say their motto is "We put the "art" into artillery".
Putting the "art" in Artillery is a Krieg thing. Guardsmen just set their magazines on fire to reload them. its kinda badass

I believe that it goes something like: each planet humanity controls has at least one hive city, each hive city holds Billions of people, and they have thousands of planets under their control
Thousands? Canonically, the Imperium itself is exactly one million planets. This does not include planets solely run by the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Ecclesiarchy, Astartes holdings, or Rogue Trader dominions. Including these, the number is somewhere in the tens of millions most likely. Regardless, it's just a number given and probably isn't accurate. If we go by how large the Imperium actually appears in lore, tens of millions is still too low. In all likelihood, there's well over a billion human held planets at minimum. Also not each planet has a Hive, only "highly populated" planets. Keep in mind that a 'small town' in 40k has a million people in it.

Some planets are hab worlds, nice places to live. Some are death worlds, literally endemic to life. Hive worlds are cities stretch across the surface of a planet. Billions of souls crammed in like sardines. Agri worlds grow the food that becomes nutri-paste and other assorted foods. Ecclesiarchy worlds are usually birth places of Saints or where they performed their miracles and generally become pilgrimage sites.

i think the "Minotaurs" are Tzaangors, i know of them from "Total war:warhammer three", basically they are part of the beastmen, a race/faction that are basically bipedal, chaos-serving livestock, the main types being Ungors, which are basically Satyrs, and Gors, which are bigger and stronger than Ungors, Tzaangors basically being when a Gor fully dedicates itself to Tzeentch
Tbf, Titus is the idealistic one. The REST of them are like the CIA. Titus is a "true believer" and would be the most loved by primarch and emperor alike.

You dont need to buy codex astartes book, just play warhammer games, party up with people who know warhammer, and they will tell the lore from the begining to end
