I have used these pedals for about 6 months, I am happy, but I think that if I used them with five ten shoes, it would work better I see them flatter It is just an opinion, since I use crankbrothers mallet shoes it has curve, from time to time it loosens the left foot I am not a black trail mtb but in blue trail it has happened to me it has been difficult to see good reviews of these pedals, there are other magnetic hustle bike pedals on the market that I would like to try later, thanks for your good reviews and helping the community mtb

I like clippless for xc and road bikes but I have tried it for trail and pike parks and it's a no go for me .. I want to be able to immediately unclip if I'm in a slow tech climb or if I have to bail on a jump and I just can't do it fast enough without loosing the clips super light but then they move around and don't feel good at all . I'm sticking with my crank brothers stamp7 pedals and a good flat bottom shoe

Crank bros make some good pedals. I’ve rode those before. I’m now riding with the PNW pedals on one bike and One Up pedals on another. PNW Range composite pedals are my favorite so far.

Just got mine and rode for 5 sessions. Definitely loving it but takes a lot of effort and time to adjust it. Have you tried adjusting the height of the magnet? The height is a game changer, the clicking noise and loosing grip on rough rock gardens are gone. Give it a try! Cheers

  • @Atalbot1994

can you lower your magnet on the pedal? from what I've seen in reviews this is adjustable, right? So lowering the magnet would pull your shoe into the pins more.

    • @JaredHoff

Definitely 👍 I could have messed around with it more, but I wanted to return the pedals before the 30 day return policy. I’ve ultimately decided I’m better off with a good set of flat pedals.

Just watched you follow up video as well.
      I have the Enduro 2 (3months) and the Ultra 2 (6 months).
I like the concept and for the most part it worked fairly well but I agree they sit in the middle and dont do either thing well (flat vs clipped).
But the real big issue is the poor quality of build. Ive had the magnet bolts come out a few times, pins disappear, spindle end cover caps disappear and most disappointing the bearings in both my sets have gone to shit (pedal has a ton of play in and out and up and down).
Compared to my one ups (4 years) and dagga (2 years) with zero issues.
      Really could not recommend these.

People have replied and said they work good with different shoes. For me it was $250 on the pedals and didn’t want to spend even more on new shoes. But MagPed did refund me $225 even returning them used.

I just wrapped up 200 miles riding these Magpeds and it was a love hate relationship. There are too many design flaws with this particular magnet pedal. There is a well known clicking that always comes back regardless of following Magpeds greasing recommendations. Magped fully acknowledges this is a design flaw. These pedals are a good middle ground between flats and clip-ins but they too have trade offs. You still pop off on chattery chunder and although the magnets are strong enough to be able to pull up the bike with your feet, its nowhere near as secure as clip-ins. All that said, not for everyone but a good middle ground or transition. Over all 5/10

I am running these pedals and am using shimano am903 shoes they have just a medium compound rubber sole , but I feel pretty planted using the shoe and pedal , I am on the strongest magnet , and did spend a bit of time getting the height just right , the metal is only a few mm from bottom of sole …
I never knew about the gold plate , I might look into them , for me there not perfect but still 8/10 fairly confident in my foot staying still and in contact with pedal over rough terrain and small jumps .,

Why didn't you get 510 spd shoes. Why didn't you try it with your normal flat pedal shoes to see if that was the problem? Also, the shoes have too much rocker. They need to be flat. You wasted your money because the shoes you bought aren't on the approved shoe list on the website. That
