@@beanomac3126 it was in Revenge and unique submissions couldnt be broken up by it. The Crossface, Rings of Saturn, Aki man's GnP, Liontamer Sting and Bret both had the deathlock, so it could be broken. This made some submission more valuable than others.
han zo aka hayabusa was probably my second most used wrestler for this game. I'd go between him and Ultimo Dragon. Only thing is I was young and didn't realize ultimo wasn't mexican or hispanic.
I loved this game. Hogan also says that "yeah" when doing his corner punches. I used to steal taunts all the time. The FUNNIEST thing I used to do was always pick Kevin Nash to fight Alex Wright. I'd do the jackknife on Wright & have Nash to Wright's dancing taunt before pinning him 😂😂😂 Memories!
Sting will also come down from the rafters during championship mode if you have the settings for allowing interference. It is rare though, as a variety of wrestlers can come out.
Voice over was beyond fine and as a brand new viewer/subscriber if you didn't say anything I never would have thought of it. You're easy to understand and your voice narrates perfectly without taking away from the background footage.

Another cool thing I'm not sure if anyone knew but if you use characters that have combination attacks, the default is 4/5 when activated but it skyrockets to 10 if you have a special activated. Ultimo Dragon was one of my mains lol
Using the playing possum technique while you are in a hold will build up your Spirit meter. You will never tap out because your spirit meter will be full. When you release the stick the hold is released and your spirit is full.

I will typically close a video once I’m disinterested by a voice, but this is a super passionate project and I’m glad I gave it a shot. excuse the comments. I just LOVE videos like this. Hogan's finisher is Ric Flairs ( as many would know, guessed) BUT, it can be seen as the Finger poke of doom. in RARE cases, the opponent will be TKO'd, or their spirit will drop very low. Hogan's true finisher can be done by throwing opponent to the rope, then press b for the big boot, then do the lego drop. Sting's scorpion death drop can be done in Vs the world and WCW MAYHEM.
The lion tamer gives Chris Jericho spirit so his special is generated quickly. Dean Malenko also has a stall brainbuster or submission that has this ability

Idk to be honest. I don't have one that I installed myself so if there is any enhancement, it's done automatically through the M64plusFZ emulator itself. I use it on android but I'm not sure if it's available for PC.
If I remember correctly, during Tag Team Matches, if you use Goldberg or Perry Saturn, their Finishers (Jack Hammer, Rings of Saturn) can't be interrupted by their opponents
When comes to stealing taunts, it's quite humorous to steal Rick Steiner's taunt as Randy Savage. Savage says "Oh yeah!" twice and the quote is overlapped. Also a tip to see Sting enter from rafters. Start the match with Savage, Nash, Konnan & Luger. Sting will be the second to enter. But you obviously knew this since you had them in the ring when showing the secret.
Yeah, I explored a bunch of GameShark codes for Wrestlemania 2000 that changed the arenas and allowed for unused content such as the Light Heavyweight Title belt.

Loved this game! I remember playing 4 players with my friends and different wrestlers having different boosts and attributes. Jericho was OP because you got a spirit boost each second the Lion Tamer/Walls of Jericho submission was applied. Chris Benoit got a double spirit boost each second if you countered/reversed an arm strike into an arm bar submission. I think it was either Sting or La Parka (?) that got a weapon every time they went into the crowd. Do you know if there were any other specific boosts like that?
I'm sure there is. Damage has to do with it as well as blood type. I'm not an expert on the A.I in these games though so I couldn't explain the details of how it all works or who has what effects.
Did you know that Hulk Hogan created Dr.Frank and did it on the same night that he beat Dake Ken? Also on the same night he flew over seas to the Silver dome to slam Kim Chee while pinning THQ Man with his patented Shooting Star Press that he would later teach Billy Kidman before using the leg drop?
I remember the silver titles, but I vaguely remember holding start when starting it, or some other button maybe? Holding start while turning on the console accesses the memory card of the n64 so its probly a different button, but I remember holding down something to get the silver titles
You hold down the start button immediately or before you turn on the console for the memory pack screen. But after the first 2 seconds the game turns on. I think any button though that skips the intro at the black and white section triggers the glitch.
There was a rumor or I guess it was an April Fools joke in a magazine, that if you won every belt with Billy Kidman, which is impossible cause you can’t pick two of the same guy for a tag. But it was supposed to unlock Renegade, Discipline and 2-3 others. It bothered me for years and I’d always hoped it was true but it wasn’t.
Not sure if it's a huge "secret" but there is also a WCW vs nWo World Tour shirt in the character edit that none of the characters have by default. I usually give it to Larry Legend
so something that’s interesting that i never see posted about this game.. and it’s probably just a bug but u can actually be invincible if u go to the entrance and hold up on the d-pad and down-c. you can’t be attacked but u also can’t attack so it isn’t very useful but kinda cool anyway

The Z Button was not a glitch. Lol. I remember one of the game guides in the early 2000s made an article about this because it was one of their most requested guide but they didn't want to cover it because it's a feature that's highlighted in the original manual.
Intriguing. It still feels like a debug option left in or something. But cool nevertheless. It was a fun watch. With regards to any constructive feedback, when you were listing off the real references for the fictional wrestlers, the voice over wasn't in sync with what was displayed. Not a huge deal at all, just something to think on.
To do a finisher. You must have your spirit meter blinking. Then use the analog button to taunt and have it flash special. While it is flashing, hold A to strong grapple, and flick the analog button to do your finisher.
If I remember correctly,quite a few wrestlers had corner finishers, ie: Buff Bagwell,La Parka, Psichosis etc. Just strong grapple in the corner when you have a special meter built up and use the stick to perform the finisher. There are a couple with Irish whip finishers as well,such as the crippler crossface.
Why couldn't Big Poppa Pump get nWo belt? He was in black and white when he changed to the BPP gimmick. I like they gave him the first attire that he debuted with tho..but he had nwo, BPP, and old school long dark hair attire

@@beanomac3126 it makes no sense because I remember it was a fact that Steiner was in the nWo white faction on the game...and in the opening cut scene literally.. with Hogan and Bischoff posing while Hogan has the nwo title...and I believe he had an attire where he could where nwo shirt with shades and jeans BPP. The old school attires were priceless. I always liked some of those Luchas. Some high profile excluded wrestlers...that was ridiculous. Especially when u have playable characters like Norton and some game programmer. Even for today's standards, that was a big and nice roster

Yeah, him and WCW had legal disputes. By the time they were solved it was too late. He actually almost defected to the WWF at the time. It's sad when fans have to suffer because of behind the scenes issues.
It's a very complicated affair and I'm honestly not good enough to explain. There are some guides that go over the basics to reversals on UA-cam though.

Yes, it is possible. It's done through repeated use of the "eye gouge" upper ground submission move. This move will also eventually take the face paint off of both Sting and the fake nWo Sting.

Hayabusa didn't end his career in ECW. His career ended during a botched midrope moonsault in a match in FMW in 2001.

You can do the death drop on this game. Grapple, push L to turn them backwards then hit joystick....... scorpion death drop!

Yeah, I explored a bunch of GameShark codes for Wrestlemania 2000 that changed the arenas and allowed for unused content such as the Light Heavyweight Title belt.
I did lot of tag team and try to get high score after high score

@beanomac3126 I forget if it was WM2000 or No Mercy but it had like a giant cage and even an inferno and barbed wire ring if I remember correctly.....gamesharks were definitely fun to add

Loved this game! I remember playing 4 players with my friends and different wrestlers having different boosts and attributes. Jericho was OP because you got a spirit boost each second the Lion Tamer/Walls of Jericho submission was applied. Chris Benoit got a double spirit boost each second if you countered/reversed an arm strike into an arm bar submission. I think it was either Sting or La Parka (?) that got a weapon every time they went into the crowd.
Do you know if there were any other specific boosts like that?
I'm sure there is. Damage has to do with it as well as blood type. I'm not an expert on the A.I in these games though so I couldn't explain the details of how it all works or who has what effects.

Did you know that Hulk Hogan created Dr.Frank and did it on the same night that he beat Dake Ken? Also on the same night he flew over seas to the Silver dome to slam Kim Chee while pinning THQ Man with his patented Shooting Star Press that he would later teach Billy Kidman before using the leg drop?
I remember the silver titles, but I vaguely remember holding start when starting it, or some other button maybe? Holding start while turning on the console accesses the memory card of the n64 so its probly a different button, but I remember holding down something to get the silver titles
You hold down the start button immediately or before you turn on the console for the memory pack screen. But after the first 2 seconds the game turns on. I think any button though that skips the intro at the black and white section triggers the glitch.

There was a rumor or I guess it was an April Fools joke in a magazine, that if you won every belt with Billy Kidman, which is impossible cause you can’t pick two of the same guy for a tag. But it was supposed to unlock Renegade, Discipline and 2-3 others. It bothered me for years and I’d always hoped it was true but it wasn’t.
I know it works!!!!! You just have to do it 100 times and input the specific combination in order to select Kidman twice!!! My big brother told me.
Not sure if it's a huge "secret" but there is also a WCW vs nWo World Tour shirt in the character edit that none of the characters have by default. I usually give it to Larry Legend

so something that’s interesting that i never see posted about this game.. and it’s probably just a bug but u can actually be invincible if u go to the entrance and hold up on the d-pad and down-c. you can’t be attacked but u also can’t attack so it isn’t very useful but kinda cool anyway

The Z Button was not a glitch. Lol. I remember one of the game guides in the early 2000s made an article about this because it was one of their most requested guide but they didn't want to cover it because it's a feature that's highlighted in the original manual.
Intriguing. It still feels like a debug option left in or something. But cool nevertheless. I couldn't imagine the frustration of having to take a bathroom break, turning this feature on, and then returning to see your character had been eliminated. 😂 Thanks for watching. @@beanomac3126 Yea good stuff mate! The game came out like 4 months before he switched to the singlet attire...I've seen mods that include Norman Smiley, Ernest Miller, Bam Bam, Regal and Sid that look really good.

It was a fun watch. With regards to any constructive feedback, when you were listing off the real references for the fictional wrestlers, the voice over wasn't in sync with what was displayed. Not a huge deal at all, just something to think on.

Can you do a video on how to do the finishers I can’t figure out how to do Rey mysterio jr’s
To do a finisher. You must have your spirit meter blinking. Then use the analog button to taunt and have it flash special. While it is flashing, hold A to strong grapple, and flick the analog button to do your finisher.
If I remember correctly,quite a few wrestlers had corner finishers, ie: Buff Bagwell,La Parka, Psichosis etc.
Just strong grapple in the corner when you have a special meter built up and use the stick to perform the finisher.
There are a couple with Irish whip finishers as well,such as the crippler crossface.

Why couldn't Big Poppa Pump get nWo belt? He was in black and white when he changed to the BPP gimmick. I like they gave him the first attire that he debuted with tho..but he had nwo, BPP, and old school long dark hair attire

@@beanomac3126 it makes no sense because I remember it was a fact that Steiner was in the nWo white faction on the game...and in the opening cut scene literally.. with Hogan and Bischoff posing while Hogan has the nwo title...and I believe he had an attire where he could where nwo shirt with shades and jeans BPP. The old school attires were priceless. I always liked some of those Luchas. Some high profile excluded wrestlers...that was ridiculous. Especially when u have playable characters like Norton and some game programmer. Even for today's standards, that was a big and nice roster

Yeah, him and WCW had legal disputes. By the time they were solved it was too late. He actually almost defected to the WWF at the time. It's sad when fans have to suffer because of behind the scenes issues.

It's a very complicated affair and I'm honestly not good enough to explain. There are some guides that go over the basics to reversals on UA-cam though.

Yes, it is possible. It's done through repeated use of the "eye gouge" upper ground submission move.
