MISC have just made some very cool ships, soon to join us in the universe of Star Citizen. I really like the look of all 3 variants and think the potential for these ships is very prominent. Externally and Internally these ships looks superb. Im looking forward to the arrival of this ship and all its variants. BUT what do you guys think? Whats your favourite variant if any and why? AS always let me know down below!! ADDENDUM - You the Wonderful SC community have informed me the rear cargo area can accomadate both an URSA and cargo! So now its even cooler! Thanks Citizens o7
I feel, that for the role and size of the ship, it should carry more cargo. Somewhere in the 300 - 400 SCU range. This could be accomplished by just sizing down some other areas, like the recriation room. Why you got a bar whith 4 sools, if there is already a table? is such a large Kitchen really nessesary? They could also get rid of the walkway and give it a cargo elevator like the constallation taurus. Or at least give you the possibility to put cargo in the back bay. there is space for another 64 SCU there. And are 3 elevators in a ship of that size really needed? Also what's up whith double beds and a privat restroom for everyone? cant they share one like in almost every other ship?
I swore I wouldn't drop another dime into SC then along came the SL Max. :/ I upgraded my package from the FL-Max to SL-Max and can't wait to take her for a spin but the current stability of the game has me concerned.
@@PIN-o7 Yeah that makes the ship even more practical. You can see it very well on the presentation video during citizencon with an ATLS and few boxes in the cargo bay. Thanks for your video.
96 is 3 x 32 SCU boxes. Should fit the same space as an URSA. For an URSA and 96 SCU in back, those side areas would need to hold 4 x 16 SCU Boxes plus 4 x 8 SCU (meaning stacked 2 high of each on both sides. 24 SCU per side stacked 2 high. Not sure I see that on this ship. Maybe.
Same. I'm honestly wondering what I can melt and/or if I want to hit that next level of concierge to get it. And this is after never wanting anything as big as a Reclaimer ever again.
@@schakTheNerd I've decided to put a hard stop on spending any real money beyond what I have. It's time they produce a game that's stable and promised what they said they would deliver. When that happens and I'm satisfied, I'll consider it.
@@Wh1teriderI don't disagree with that stance at all, and kind of feel the same way myself. Once we have the Starlancer Tac, there's a not zero chance my Valkyrie goes into the melting pot, which would get me to a little over halfway to an Odyssey. Then it's just figuring out what else I can part with. It took less than 10 seconds to decide I don't need another certificate of poor financial decisions.
Problem with the visibility of the old MISC ships isn't that they have panoramic, letterbox cockpit screens... but the fact that the pilot sits so far back from the screen, it has a massive dashboard. The Starlancers might have the same general windshield shape, but you can also clearly see that you sit much close, the dash isn't too deep and the screen itself is very tall, so you actually get a massive horiztonal AND vertical field of view. Many people have had the same knee-jerk reaction but the metrics have been significantly reworked for new ships. Look at the Crusader Hercules ships, they effectively also have the same style letterbox screens, but no one complains, lol, because the metrics are completely different despite having the same shape cockpit glass.
No, there is no visiability issue, the misc are perfectly fine, if your've ever flown DCS aircraft, Star Citizen ships are childsplay, but even better now with Master Modes.
BTW, at around 31:03 when you were saying it's bright orange, I believe those are red lights. We use them in the military to see without giving our position away and eye fatigue amongst a couple other similar reasons.
I would also like a Starlancer DUR, or some other exploration version of the ship. The Freelancer DUR was my first, non-game package ship, as it was supposed to be the largest ship that could fit into the smallest jump points...back when that was planned on being a thing. I can really see them making a long range explorer out of the Starlancer, but that might step on the Odyssey's toes a bit. Although I'm also one of those people who wants ships for different roles than was originally intended, like a cargo version of the Valkyrie and an explorer version of the Polaris.

I upgraded to the MAX. I wanted the TAC at first, thinking it would be a jack of all trades ship, but when I realized that the extra armament is manned only, and that I really won't be using a lot of the combat features, I figured that a ship with weaker shields but more cargo space would be more suitable as a mobile home. Maybe I will upgrade to a TAC later on, but for now, the MAX seems like more solid choice atm.

Let the ship live.
Best overview and insight into a ship I've seen thus far. And it isn't even in the game yet. You've gained a new subscriber for sure. Thank you for the video.
I just want to let you knowm the rear cargo hold 96 scu and an ursa... At the same time. The grid is on the sides and the middle is left clear for the ursa
I can’t believe I’m excited for a Misc Ship 😍 Also I believe the Max will be able to fit some extra cargo where the vehicle spot is it just won’t lock to the grid. Looks good, new with all the bells and whistles, great size for solo (will have to park with engineering issues and repair or die lol) or group. Large awfully placed turrets, decent firepower, etc.
Im happy with my max. I ended up melting the tac, eclipse and a1 spirit for the endeavor + the modules. There is always next year for the tac and the other ships.
I agree that the wings just don't quite work from an esthetic standpoint. They need some additional design iteration. Also, why is the belly unprotected?
MISC ships are my favourite. I think at IAE my fleet will change to Guardian (if it’s out), starlancer max and bld and the odyssey or Hull D. I also think the MISC fortuner will have a salvage and mining variant
I don't even like MISC ships but this ship changed my mind. I like the way this MISC ship looks. And the Odyssey but I got the Starlancer MAX. Easy choice for just me.
As a fellow MISC enjoyer I love the new look. And I also agree with the letterbox view. Its iconic at this point, gives character and as a civilian pilot I dont need the absolute best view. Personally I actually like seeing the ship im flying as I fly it.
The amory could combined with the airlock like in the corsair... that would make space for a medbay. Deep space without medbay is dangerous. But i can't wait to fly it anyway.
You earned a subscriber from this one. I can not wait for my MAX to arrive in my hangar through the elevator. To witness the grand reveal, to revel in it's mass, to be in awe by it's existence... I'm almost embarrassed to say that i've never been as excited for another ship in this game until now.
Id backed this game back in the kickstarter, it was for the Freelancer, under the promise that the vessel 'was the most moldable and versatile ship in the 'verse, with extensive technology from the Xi'An' Yeah, none of that came to pass.... I love the look of the Starlancer, but yeah, I miss that original pitch. Now it's MIRAI that has the alien tech (Because you wouldn't use that tech in the regular ships for....reasons...), maybe the Endeavor will still have the modules, and I guess they are still versatile, but that's kinda everything in the game if you are determined enough.
Damn Steve, been missing you lately! I picked up a TAC, just because I wanted it. I have an A2, so it’s not needed, but I love MISC. Great vidi, mate and looking forward to seeing you out in Pyro! Have a good one ✌️
I am kind of surprised at the components on the MAX. Like the smaller Zeus CL, they both have 2 Size 2 Power Plants, 2 Size 2 Coolers, and 1 Size 2 Quantum Drive. The CL has 3 Size 2 Shields whereas the MAX has 1 Size 3 Shield. I would have expected for a ship of this size, the MAX would have Size 3 components all the way around. The good thing, though, is that with Stealth being active in 3.24.2, the MAX could run Stealth components, except for the Shield, since there are no Stealth components at Size 3. I suppose, though, the MAX's Cross Section will be significant enough to make EM & IR Stealth moot.
When i saw the new ship i was debating my freelancer mis or the constitution upgrading to it ive more or less settle on upgrading the const as i like the mis as one of my bigger gunships.
Starlancer TAC Invictus 2025/ BLD after 1.0, so say CIG. CIG built the Max/TAC off of the BLD. Expect to see some nice paints for these ships in due course. All those HULL assets are being put to good use. Also the Double beds are the ref to families being brought into game, and romance, interesting!
I currently have a Freelancer MAX, It would only cost me about 75 dollars to upgrade to a Starlancer MAX, I think I found what I want for my birthday this year.
Man im so stoked for this one. Upgraded my corsair. I know im going to miss the firepower, but the living space inside, the extra cargo capacity, and just the overall gorgeous, sleek lines and smooth profile of the starlancer will be worth it i think. Just absolutely beautiful and everything i could want in my space truck. Im picturing running a modest cargo hauling operation with a couple of friends, renting out our services to various orgs that need remote deliveries to far flung places
At around 12:40 when talking about the rear cargo hold, you said you have the option of cargo or a ground vehicle. You actually get both! It's two 32SCU long grids behind the white and black striped lines to the left and right. It's a 3 high grid for 2×32SCU+8×4SCU boxes totaling 96 SCU with room in the middle for the ursa rover
@@PIN-o7Yeah, it's amazing. That new APC looking silhouette they have teased is in my crosshairs as an IAE pickup for my TAC. I have a referral ship that's just begging to be turned into it. 😀
Not gonna lie idk about that. The only thing I like more about the freelancers is the living amenities inside in the food area looked nice. Other than that I love the zeuses appearance especially more.
To me, this could be my flying base. I have a Corsair, but it's more like a rugged WWII military truck. The Starlancer is more of a home. It like Spaceballs' RV Eagle 5 vs. Firefly's Serenity.
Everyone has said that this has Serenity vibes, and I have to agree. This ship will probably be one of the most popular ships until CIG actually makes the MISC Serenity. lol
That slit view visibility does matter for the tac for max thou if you're only doing cargo runs then its just minor inconvenience. Some people thinking doing solo ert bounties with tac haha I'd advice against it. You need atleast turret gunners for it to be effective at space combat just like starlifters. For me its a forward base/heavy dropship. Got the max although I feel it need more scu for its size its accessibility due to the ramp and elevator might be a game changer. But if it doesn't work I'll just ccu it for the apollo. Plus I prefer to fly RSI ships because of center pilot chair and bigger visibility.
I always thought MISC ships looked like spaceships from 1960s cartoons..... I never saw myself buying one until now. I got both of them. They are amazing.
Re the Starlancer Max. I upgraded, and melted, and picked one up. I already have a C2, and Taurus, so why this? I like the fact that it has two cargo areas that are sizable. In the rear area I intend to keep vehicles, and personal storage. In the front I will haul cargo. The ship is unique in this respect. Its my run away to Pyro ship. If I just want to grind cargo....my C2 is still available. The Taurus is nice to load cargo from dead bounties.
Star Citizen Backers, "Ooooo, shiny and cool new ships! I want one!" CIG: "Excellent... they've forgotten that we already took their money for a ship we're not making anymore so we could sell them this new one."
And this comment right here this one is exactly why I refuse to straight up buy any ship while it's still concept. Even if it costs a bit more. Didn't buy a Connie till it was here didn't buy a Zeus till it existed. The only difference is this gives me everything that I was looking for in a bigger ship that the Connie just didn't give me. Granted I sacrifice alot of firepower from the pilot but the amount of everything else I get that's in it makes up for it so far.
27:11 id like to point out the redeemer did not get nerfed. Everyone is know that actively flies a redeemer says it's just as capable but in a different way. Significantly more maneuverable but with less firepower and lower shields. You won't be face tanking a hammerhead anymore but you can actually dance around them now
The freelancer models are very old and in desperate need of updating. They really don't need 4 seats and 4 beds anymore. CIG had a whole different idea of what a crewed ship was then. I wouldn't be surprised if they got a Mark II treatment like the hornet did instead of the old models being updated.
And with the 110 SCM speed it's going to be azzzzzzz😂 The BLD can probably get away with it by the nature of its function but the way the cargo is laid out is odd.
Just a great ship everyone who says the rooms and hab are wasted space shpukd just get a connie or something. Some people like myself appreciate some form with the function and this ship checks off all the boxes
The starlancer will be bad for landing on anything other than a pad or flat ground. I’m not sure why CIG is obsessed with tiny small landing gear but it doesn’t benefit us at all.
This ship is great except for the massive waste of space that is a small hotel on the top deck. Pointless. the small hangar would have been much better there.
The human factors are what I love the most about the MAX. It feels like a long range cargo hauler you can live in, perfect for deliveries out on the frontier. If I could have changed one thing I would have had the captain's quarters on one side, removed the other quarters on that side and replaced it with a small room with a tier 3 med bed. I would then have three remaining quarters in the other half. You'd lose the big beds, but still feel the ship would be comfortable to live on.
@@PIN-o7 It's true, I had to get one. It's the Freelancer I've always dreamed of 🙂. I love the fact that you can take a vehicle with you all the time, I'm sure that will matter more in the future and the room for an ATLS in the back is going to be super handy.
this entire ship screams how much space can we possibly waste. i dont need a football stadium as a mess hall. i dont need an entire shoilet and a king size bed per crewmate...the wall between the cargo bays is fucking stupid. get rid of it and give us more cargo capacity. this ship is a shit show this is why the drake ironclad will be my primary ship. no wasted space
Use a smaller ship then. Also There is NO wasted space. Just because you don't like something does NOT mean that space is wasted. If you wanted more cargo space that is exactly why they build HULL ships.
I'm not to worried. Now I get to make a galaxy, pioneer, BLD base building video discussing all three ships and base building in general. Just need a few more details released on the BLD and pioneer.
@@PIN-o7 I really hope they don't decide to go back on what was said about the build module being for large buildings now that the community shamed them into honoring their word on the module itself. The white nights have been nothing but a hindrance on holding CIG to their word to older backers.
@Bland-79 tbh CIG are pretty good at those types of issues. I wouldn't of thought that they would not follow through making the galaxy work as a base builder.
Death and destruction???? In your opinion that's the only reason for a well armed and defended ship ??? That tells a lot about you......... Being well armed and defended isn't about "death and destruction" but rather about defense of yourself or your fleat/base/planet etc......a higher chance of survival!!!........ You are sick!!!
tell me whats the end result of you defending yourself? flowers and peace treaties? Or is it more than likely that something will be blown up and death and destruction will follow?

MISC ships are my favourite. I think at IAE my fleet will change to Guardian (if it’s out), starlancer max and bld and the odyssey or Hull D. I also think the MISC fortuner will have a salvage and mining variant
I don't even like MISC ships but this ship changed my mind. I like the way this MISC ship looks. And the Odyssey but I got the Starlancer MAX. Easy choice for just me.
I like that the Freelancer looks a bit frumpy, it's my little Firefly work-alike.
each to there own!
I have both CCU's I might upgrade the Max to the Max and the Mis to the Tac.
I will wait and buy BLD when it come, as i have Odyssey i dont feel super need for the other two.
Hope they let us buy the bld at iae. But I'll enjoy the star max that I have a CCU for.
I like the freelancer design. Only part I don`t care for that much is the ramp.
Same. If you're talking about the manned turret at the back that gets in your way sometimes, I agree 100%
@@durtyred86They fixed that turret bug a while back, those beams that were sticking out of the ceiling by the turret on all the Freelancers are gone.
As a fellow MISC enjoyer I love the new look. And I also agree with the letterbox view. Its iconic at this point, gives character and as a civilian pilot I dont need the absolute best view. Personally I actually like seeing the ship im flying as I fly it.
I’m hoping when they do the rework on the Freelancers, they use some of the new aesthetics on them
The amory could combined with the airlock like in the corsair... that would make space for a medbay.
Thankyou. And yes I'm pretty hyped honestly. When the BLD arrives il be super happy 😄
Id backed this game back in the kickstarter, it was for the Freelancer, under the promise that the vessel 'was the most moldable and versatile ship in the 'verse, with extensive technology from the Xi'An'
Yeah, none of that came to pass....
@toecutter9372 hey hey! Good to hear from you mate. Enjoy your Tac. o7
This ship will have you covered .
It'll be a great ship for families, gorgeous and plenty of space, luxury and potential, enjoy that sucker.
At around 12:40 when talking about the rear cargo hold, you said you have the option of cargo or a ground vehicle. You actually get both! It's two 32SCU long grids behind the white and black striped lines to the left and right. It's a 3 high grid for 2×32SCU+8×4SCU boxes totaling 96 SCU with room in the middle for the ursa rover
yes ive just been informed by another! i did not know that! but thanks for the info because now the max is even cooler o7
@@PIN-o7Yeah, it's amazing. That new APC looking silhouette they have teased is in my crosshairs as an IAE pickup for my TAC. I have a referral ship that's just begging to be turned into it. 😀
@JL-rj9fl awesome, win win ha ha!
Thanks for the video. I am very curious about these ships. I only fear the max and most cargo ships designed as prey with obvious blind spots.
The day CIG brings the Freelancer Durp up to gold standard, is the day everyone melts their Zeus and Spirits.
Not gonna lie idk about that. The only thing I like more about the freelancers is the living amenities inside in the food area looked nice. Other than that I love the zeuses appearance especially more.
No such ship
To me, this could be my flying base. I have a Corsair, but it's more like a rugged WWII military truck. The Starlancer is more of a home. It like Spaceballs' RV Eagle 5 vs. Firefly's Serenity.
Everyone has said that this has Serenity vibes, and I have to agree. This ship will probably be one of the most popular ships until CIG actually makes the MISC Serenity. lol
@@p-stylez571 My fear is it will be too "popular" as that attracts the nerf hammer.
yeah! the Corsair is trashcan, horrible mess, starlancer is a little more refined, will be a nice filler until we get something better.
@@juanecheyt congrats!
I definitely want me some space pool. in space!
i like their designs, the one design i like the most is the odysseys design and look
i dont blame you, the odyssey is amazing imo
Re the Starlancer Max. I upgraded, and melted, and picked one up. I already have a C2, and Taurus, so why this? I like the fact that it has two cargo areas that are sizable. In the rear area I intend to keep vehicles, and personal storage. In the front I will haul cargo. The ship is unique in this respect. Its my run away to Pyro ship. If I just want to grind cargo....my C2 is still available. The Taurus is nice to load cargo from dead bounties.
Will this outclass RSI’s constellation series when flying solo. The only thing holding me back not having my 4 guns as the pilot
i wonder what the aeuc cost will be for them
Tac=7 crew. For optimum operation.
Pretty ship
The max should have a medical bed since it's designed for deep space.
stille hesitating despite promises me not to give one more USD to SC....Which will be your version the MAX or the TAC ?
Star Citizen Backers, "Ooooo, shiny and cool new ships! I want one!"
CIG: "Excellent... they've forgotten that we already took their money for a ship we're not making anymore so we could sell them this new one."
I hope they just update the Freelancers, and Cutlass. We don't need a bunch of mk2's, and legacy ships before 1.0 is even out. That's ridiculous.
27:11 id like to point out the redeemer did not get nerfed. Everyone is know that actively flies a redeemer says it's just as capable but in a different way. Significantly more maneuverable but with less firepower and lower shields. You won't be face tanking a hammerhead anymore but you can actually dance around them now
No polaris update video??
When it launches expect a fully detailed review.
The freelancer models are very old and in desperate need of updating. They really don't need 4 seats and 4 beds anymore. CIG had a whole different idea of what a crewed ship was then. I wouldn't be surprised if they got a Mark II treatment like the hornet did instead of the old models being updated.
I got a Freelancer Max right now and I do love it but yeah it needs a rework.
And with the 110 SCM speed it's going to be azzzzzzz😂
The BLD can probably get away with it by the nature of its function but the way the cargo is laid out is odd.
Is this part of the content creator program?
What content Creator program?
???
Pass for me. 1: it looks too chubby. 2: those tiny legs, got burned by the Corsair so I wouldn't want that hassle again 😅
What happened to the odyssey? Did they just forget about it to make this ship?
No No, just think of the starlancers as stepping stones. They will be able to easily share interior assets
Just a great ship everyone who says the rooms and hab are wasted space shpukd just get a connie or something. Some people like myself appreciate some form with the function and this ship checks off all the boxes
Youll walk back there, look at it and think "thats cool" and never find a use for it again. Exhibit A: 4 rooms in the Corsair.
Corsair nerfed, Starlancer present....
The starlancer will be bad for landing on anything other than a pad or flat ground. I’m not sure why CIG is obsessed with tiny small landing gear but it doesn’t benefit us at all.
So much speculations for such a speculative tech demo
This ship is great except for the massive waste of space that is a small hotel on the top deck. Pointless. the small hangar would have been much better there.
The human factors are what I love the most about the MAX. It feels like a long range cargo hauler you can live in, perfect for deliveries out on the frontier.
If I could have changed one thing I would have had the captain's quarters on one side, removed the other quarters on that side and replaced it with a small room with a tier 3 med bed. I would then have three remaining quarters in the other half. You'd lose the big beds, but still feel the ship would be comfortable to live on.
Honestly i struggled to really find "faults" with its design. I honestly think these ships are superb.
Why did you listen to the idiot white nights and delete your galaxy video over it? Any way to bring it back?
Unlike the 600i where everything and everywhere is complete wasted idiotic rooms of empty nonsense.
Cat runs loops around this trashheap of a MISC ship! Dude, Cat has 596 SCU of cargo, go home!
Um..I'm not comparing cargo size am I? Because if I was i would say the C2 obviously.
Pilot visibility 😑
Its fine, nothing wrong with visibility, get thicker glasses, use the outside views.
Ugly ship!!
Get rid of that music
@RicoZaid_ will you come clean my car? You know, as we're doing requests for each other.
