Step 1: Find the correct side of the vehicle to start working on

Step 3: Remove airbox & put rag in intake pipe
Step 4: start relocation process of engine bay accessories
Step 5: Remove wheel arch liner & washer bottle
Step 6: 4" Hole saw inner guard
Step 7: Marking out your template
Step 8: Cutting your snorkel hole
Step 9: Step 9 Relocate engine bay accessories
Step 10: Test fit & Trim joiners
Step 11: Fit Snorkel!!!!!!!!!!!

It was definitely hard to take send a hole saw through a brand new panel 😅 but i just made sure i checked my measurements like 10 times before i cut into it 😆👍
Love your content Joel! Even the older stuff like this is super helpful! Just a side note to anyone especially in NZ that’s looking at buying one of these kits, don’t!!! Absolute muck arounds that won’t even acknowledge a mistake on their end, they sent out a long entry template for my short entry and failed to take any responsibility

Definitely need to get myself a snorkel. Took my np over to Moreton for a week and almost flooded it when the tracks got flooded. Luckily the sensors picked up the water and shut my ute off before it could suck it in.
Didn't know they did that?
@@TheLordsaviour yeah if the mafs sensor gets wet it can lead to them shutting off. Also the air filter was absolutely soaked so pretty much no air was getting in which it didn't like either
@@JustAnotherGuy341 I was lucky then, i submerged the front right half way up the windscreen. I did poop a little. But drove away.
@@TheLordsaviour yeah definitely a scary thing. Pretty sure my airbox wasn't sealing properly either so probably another contributor to what happened. All good now though. I got my snorkel haha
If your going to do water crossings plug those holes up in the airbox and install some kind of bung to let rain out. Trust me I just wrote my np off doing a creek crossing
great advice! I want to find an aftermarket airbox that uses a panel filter system, but in the meantime putting a safer drain system in there seems like it would be a smart idea, Cheers Matt!
Instead of putting the rag in the intake pipe, perhaps put it over the intake pipe and put an elastic band over it. Harder to forget, and possibly better at keeping the crud out of the pipe. Also wow! I did not realise a snorkel was so involved to install. I might just fork out the cash to get someone to do it for me so I don't destroy my car by accident :D

Love your vids man! Just a question with the snorkel process, are you happy with just the silicon hose and hose clamp to seal the joins? I’d be worried about water getting in somehow! With the safari snorkel you can run a bead of silicon in the joins would you do the same?

Hey mate I just had the exact same short entry MMW stainless installed to the factory airbox. I'm still concerned that I might the dr9wn the engine of the airbox isn't completely sealed off. Is the air intake completely sealed if your staino connects to the original factory nissan airbox? Have you any issues with your set up?
bro, you are amazing, in this video, you had lift suspension kit installed? or had spacers suspension front and rear? thanks bro! i have a NP300, im from El Salvador but here,its very difficult find offroad accessories for my car, i am searching in ebay and some australian pages.
I had one looked good that’s about it I was 10hrs away from home had some rain it sucked into the airbox and socked my air filter. Now run a safari snorkel which covered the hole in the guard. And doesn’t flood the air box and is a sealed unit
I've also got one and about to pull off due to the droning noise any 1 else.find the loud to loud

G'day Corey, I did forget to mention that, Damn! I will have to make sure I make note of that in my next vid! I took my time with this one and I would say about 8 hours in total. it’s hard to say exactly as filming at the same time take s up a lot of time too. If you allow for a full days work you should be right :-)
Easier to pay someone to install it, if you fuck it up your footing the bill, whereas if they fuck it up youll be right, paying labour is worth it, especially when it comes to snorkels

Any 1 had any issues with the 4inch stanless pipes being so.dam loud and quite annoying? Any ideas im.thinking of either outing the.safari back on or , coating the inside with body deadner thoughts?
I personally don't notice the whistle unless the window is down. and sometimes i wind the window down just to listen to it. because the engine on these things are so damn quite it's actually helpful when off-roading to listen to how hard it's working through the snorkel noises.

no water ingres yet, and i like the noise from a stainless especially since i don't have an exhaust system on my np300.

Hey mate is it a problem if there is a small gap around where the snorkel joins the panel, or is that going to happen.
In terms of water entering ?
Gaps in the panel is no worries, but gaps in the silicon joiner are bad news.

Hey bro! Curious to whether or not this voids your engine warranty? I'm thinking of getting a stainless snorkel myself and was told the other day by a mate that it may void engine warranty is this true?
Best to check with your dealership. I told my dealership that i was installing it and they said it was fine. I gues at the end of the day they deliver cars with snorks in them 🤷♂️
