I believe the reason they added the horse chase scene was Keanu was talking with the director about what they could do in this movie and Keanu asked, "Can John ride a horse?"
The answer was "Yes." Keanu just wanted to ride a horse.
Lance Reddick, who played the concierge Charon in the John Wick series, died on March 17, 2023, shortly before "John Wick Chapter 4" officially premiered.
Lance is also in the film "Ballerina" a spin-off featuring the ballerina character Rooney, who is played by a different actress than the one who played Rooney in Parabellum. Also in the film are John Wick and Winston, the movie being set in the Wick events timeline between JW3 and JW4. "Ballerina" is scheduled for a summer 2025 release, being postponed for a year for post-production additional filming and editing.

The glass in the glass cases where all the knives were kept during that opening fight was CG. That way they could do multiple takes without having to reset all the broken glass and there was less of a chance for the actors to cut themselves on stunt glass which can still be sharp.
