How to install a Numeric Shifter and Cables in a Porsche 911 996 Turbo

We put a Numeric shifter and cables in our 996 turbo. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the rubber plug back in because of the all wheel drive layout. This is easily the best thing you can do to a 996 or 997 911. It totally changed the interaction and the feel of the car

To seat that rubber isolator into its spot back into the cabin just remove the cardan shaft. Then you have unrestricted access, you can literally put your hand right on it

Love that snickity snick sound of the numeric shifter. It’s a pricey piece of gear but worth the money no doubt.

Is the center console and shifter going to cover everything?

Yes everything is covered and looks completely OEM original but the shifter feel is epic
