Cassiy, I watched this video and was further impressed by your business sense and skills. The spreadsheet for tax reporting is a very good, helpful tool, and I think it is great that you demonstrated how to use it in this video and how to edit it for pricing changes in the future, etc. This is another of your impressive skills. Well done. I have not yet watched your 'taxes' video but will do so, and will order your spreadsheet in the future after I get my own POD store going. At this point I am still learning the basics of store setup and all of the many things that go into a POD biz, but your good example and tips are inspiring and helpful.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate the support! There is always going to be so many new things to learn about this business so the best advice I can give you is to literally start today! Just go open your Etsy shop and sign up for Printify. It will only take a few minutes but then it will be that much easier to take the next steps when you are ready! Just take a tiny baby step forward everyday, its ok if you make your shop and make a listing today and mess something up, the best way to learn is to just start and figure it out along the way in my opinion!
Thank you for helping us with specific, thorough and easy to understand advice. I am a 30 year tax preparer, but not a bookkeeper, so having such a comprehensive document designed for POD, is fantastic. Thanks for sharing, very much appreciated.
thank you so much for breaking down how to use the spreadsheet. i purchased it & am so glad to have a uniform place to start tracking my income & expenses.
I thought I had figured my prices out and everything but as a few more sales came in I decided to try your document. I was BARELY making anything after all of Etsy's fees! Thank you for making this. I was so lost.
Cassiy, thank you for being so transparent. I started my shop a couple months ago, and making sales here and there. However, I keep watching your videos and started to take notes cause its a lot of valuable info. Thanks again.
So glad you are getting value from my channel, congrats on getting started! I know it's slow in the beginning but just keep at it and you'll get there. Especially if you follow my advice and REALLY prepare for the holidays in advance!!
Hi Cassiy I just started Etsy shop and I have seen almost all your videos and they have helped me in taking my first steps. I just bought your expense report yesterday, trying to get everything I can to make sure I am doing it right. I really wised I had seen this video to the end and know now how to make my work easier lol oh well you live and learn. I watched was the steps and this video here had more details on how to do things. I will learn that is for sure. Thank you for your help on these videos and please keep making them
Cassie thank you for all the valuable information you share in your coaching videos. My wife and I are in the process of setting up our POD Etsy store. I have watched many of your videos and I have been convinced to make sure everything looks to the best of our abilities prior to going live with the store. There is a temptation to just go for it, but your coaching has convinced me to take my time and get the store just right before launching! Appreciate all your information.
So excited you are wanting to get started the right way! I actually would recommend just getting started now though. There is only so much research and things you can get perfect before testing. Most of the stuff you learn in this business won't be until after you start, so I'd go ahead and actually just open your shop today and post a design. The faster you can get your first sale and first review the better, because once you find what people like to buy from you, you can make more of that! But you'll never know until you start!
@@CassiyJohnson Thanks so much....we are up and running and products are going out the door. In addition to Etsy we are running our own website and sales are doing well the first two weeks out of the box! Thanks again for all your info!
This was such an awesome vid. This provided a full array of excel charts that are needed for a business. I made my as you moved through the video. You go at a great speed and always show the imagery as you move through. Makes if so much easier to understand. Keep moving Lady C. You Rock!
Thank you so much for this! I purchased the spreadsheet yeasterday and I am looking forward to getting the time to sit down and figure out how to use it. Spreadsheets are something else relatively new to me so I am so thankful to have this video to walk me through it!
Gosh, Cassiy, I especially appreciated this video. I got laid off so knowing my profit margin and being able to track income and expenses for tax purposes is going to be critical as I work to replace my lost income. Having this tool will help me worry less.
Thank you for your videos and the Income & Expense Spreadsheets! The spreadsheets are so helpful in understanding cost, pricing, and profit. Great tool! I appreciate your hard work in adding all the formulas/math for me! This makes bookkeeping easy and understandable. Thanks again.
Just purchased this and digging in now with this video. Thank you Cassiy! Hope you are enjoying your vacay. I am not going to bother you again until you get back. I hope. Lol
Hi Cassiy, thanks for covering bookkeeping for print on demand. I knew this topic would be useful for many of our users. So I shared it on our Facebook page. Thanks for your great content.❤
Cassiy, something you may have already covered in a previous video (I have not watched all of yours yet), or may wish to include in a comment or future video. In this video you mentioned you use some Printify bulk (pre-paid) discounts, where you pay a fee each month to get some discount, depending upon your sales volume (to qualify). There was another thing you mentioned where you pay something to qualify (I don't recall at the moment). So, I think a good video topic would be helping your audience determine the cross-over point where it makes sense to pay for those "discounts" at some point in their business growth. You might say something like "When your monthly sales revenue reaches ($X), consider paying for this "discount" on Printify, because that will....save you....($Y) per shirt/month..." In addition, there may be other "subscriptions" or paid services that make sense at some sales levels (monthly sales volume). I don't know of them yet, but it appears you are making use of volume. :) My point? I think some of what you are calculating only applies to someone with your high sales revenue volume. As I am just starting out, or for low volume sellers, it would not be profitable to pay for bulk discounts (even if they are available), prior to sales volume that is predictable at some level month to month. I am far from reaching your level, and so this may be of interest to your audience who are just beginning like I am. In any case, your experience and tips are appreciated. :)
I pay for Printify premium which is $29.99/month or you can pay yearly for $24.99/month. This makes sense to pay for at about the 20 sales per month mark! So super low barrier to get to that point. And if you use my Printify link to sign up, I believe you get your first month of premium for free!
on the spreadsheet to add more lines on the profit layout - when i click to drag down on some when adding more items its changing the formula - solutions to add more lines and keep the formulas outside the green area already in place
Thank you so much for this tool and all of your videos! I opened my shop in Jan and have been putting off doing the numbers bc I was so overwhelmed learning everything and this made my life so much easier! It took me literally 15-20 mins to plug in all my numbers to see how my shop was doing month to month! So worth the 20 dollars!
@@maribel4157 my shop is doing great! I’m getting daily sales 4-8 a day and just sold over 20K since starting. I have 700 listings now and just turned my ads to 10 dollars a day. I was doing 5 dollar a day ads and was getting daily sales around 2-3 a day. I started seeing daily sales back in May and I think I had around 500 listings.
Thank you sooooooo much!!! This is EXACTLY what I was wondering!! And you’ve done all the work for us to have our very own spreadsheet too! LOVE IT! Definitely going to purchase that from you!! 🥰🥳
Wow! This is amazing and I am so grateful you broke it down for me, because I have been doing so much research on POD with Printify and Etsy before just diving in because I need to make sure I know what I'm doing before I just go in uneducated. This is sooo helpful to make sure I am actually getting a profit, because it's certainly needs to be worth my time to do all of this! Thanks Cass!
@@CassiyJohnson thank you for that advice. You are right I do need to have some idea and then just dive into it. I bought your calculator and am feeling really well supported knowing that I have a tailored tool to make sure that I have a better chance of coming out on top with profits and being ready for tax time. 😍
@@spiritualitylifecoach So glad you are loving it, I wish I had that when I first started so I am so glad that I can help you get it all figured out quicker and easier than I did
@@CassiyJohnson so I deleted all my profiles for shipping out of my etsy account and then tried to make new profile shipping labels. But when I went back to printify they all said unpublished. And when I try to republish them they say publishing error. Anything I can do?I got in touch with printify tech support but they haven't figured it out yet.
@@CassiyJohnson this question is off topic, but if I have a printful listing that I want to make on printify instead, can I just make a draft of it on printify and then retype the new sku number into my printful Etsy listing? Will printify recognize the order? I already have favorites on that listing and I don’t want to delete it, but want to change print providers. Printful is just too expensive
@@FamilyDinnerDelights Yes this is a good way to do it! And to save time if you wanting to do this to a lot of listings, you can add the design to printify and do the SKU's only AFTER items sell. You will see the first order show up in your "other orders" tab on Printify and you can select the item and size for that order and then replace the sku so all future orders for that design come in automatically
Wow this is an impressive resource, I'm completely new to POD and excel confuses me😅 but this together with your other videos is such valuable information - thank you so much for all the help you provide - sending gratitude & blessings and definitely getting this spreadsheet 🙏🏽👌🏾🙌🏾☯️
Hi Cassiy, I love your channel and also this spreadsheet. Thank you for sharing this resource with your followers. It is worth $20.00 or even more. I look forward to more videos from you. Take care. amanda
Hello Cassiy, I have questions: 5:22 Can I add more rows to the 'Expenses' section (Printful, Printify, Gelato, etc.), the 'Miscellaneous Expenses' section, and the 'Other Incomes' section? 8:32 Can I add more rows to the 'Recurring Monthly Expenses' section? Are all sections limited to the number of rows currently available? Thanks
Love the video - very useful and informative. Even though I can make one of these expense calculators myself, I'll purchase yours as my way of saying thank you for all the info. you so generously give away. P.S. Working on my first listings because of you - THANKS! :)
OH! I changed "Product Sale Price" in mine to say "Product Listing Price" Because I kept getting confused that it's the actual listing price without the sale attached. When it said Sale price I thought it was the price after the sale was taken out of it. :P Idk if anyone else thought that but I clarified in my own doc.
Hi Cassiy, I purchased your spreadsheet, and it is wonderful, and very easy to follow. I watched this tutorial and I was ready to go! One thing that I can't find is the tab for "Monthly Costs". If you can help me find it that would be great. Thank you for this wonderful tool you created!
Sorry I made the change to the document after creating this video, so that is no longer on there! Sorry for the confusion but I hope you still love it and thank you for your purchase!!
Question: Love this video. So, for a shirt listing on Etsy for $24.99, is this with free shipping to the customer because you already priced in the shipping as part of your expenses?
Yes you have it exactly right! I pay $8.57 per shirt + $4 shipping. Then charge the customer $24.99 with "free shipping" and get to keep the difference!
Hi Cassiy! I super appreciate all your I’m depth helpful info! And it’s awesome how you take the time to comment and reply to your followers. I’m sure it will get too hard soon tho! I was wondering about pricing guidance. I get so frustrated with all the tshirts I see selling for $10!? I know you’ve mentioned 24.99, and discussed running sales. Do you discount below the 24.99? Did you price lower in the beginning to get the ball rolling? Thank you again for your valuable feedback and time!
Thanks for your support! Don't try to compete on price, most of the people with "10$" shirts are fake, click the listing and see that only one random size and color is that cheap and they are charging $6 for shipping etc. People don't come to Etsy to buy the cheapest product, they come to find a unique gift to give a loved one! So I usually price my items just at $24.99 but in the past I have started at $19.99 and then raised $1 per sale I get until its $24.99. Just focus more on good designs and finding good niches and it will all work out!
Hi Lynne! So sorry I don't know much about what you would need to get it to work for you. My document is only is US dollars but it may be easy to convert to your currency. It is a google sheets document so if you want to google search before hand on if that is a simple fix, then feel free to check that first!
Thank you much for this explanation. I will order right away but wondering if you use QuickBooks or other software in addition? I use QB for another Etsy store and appreciate that my sales are migrated over from Etsy. I do se a great benefit to your calculator as well. 👍
Hi Trudy! No I don't use Quickbooks personally but again this is my first time owning a business so maybe I would love it if I did. I just track everything on this document and then do my taxes with an accountant!
I would just add them as an expense on the month that the money came out for the yearly expense! Printify premium though gets included on your printify statement for that month just as a heads up!
Hi Cassiy! Thank you very much for all your videos, you're my role model!! Your tips, advice, and materials are simply awesome! I've just purchased your income and expense report and it's great!! Exactly what I need to keep track of everything, but I have a question about the product calculator. Do you include different rows for the same product, for instance, B+C 3001 when you sell it in different colors or do you price them according to the most expensive color or an average? Regarding the basic colors, namely, black and white, the differences are not huge, but with other colors, especially heather colors, the difference is a quantity that shouldn't be underestimated I think. I don't want to overcomplicate the process but I want to be specific enough so that the prices and profits obtained in the different products approximate as much as possible to the real numbers. As for the size is concerned, I know you price the same from S to XL, so do you also include individual rows for the pricing of sizes 2XL and 3XL? I would really appreciate if you could help me solve these doubts... Thank you very much in advance for your help!!🥰
Thank you for all of these informative videos! You have inspired me to create my own POD shop! Thank you again! One question, do you run an Instagram page/social media platform for your shop? I might have missed a video going over this, so I apologize if I did!
Hi Cassiy, bought and downloaded your income/expense report. So went to printing, I do not have any invoices there. There are entries in the summary Invoices section. Do we do anything with that section? Thanks.
You go to the little green circle in the top right corner, then to payments, then to summary invoices. Here you should see the grand total of what you spent per month!
Hi Cassiy, I'm guessing you have your Printify "Summary Invoices" enabled to get monthly summaries? I was set to "Per Order" which feels pretty granular and because of this, "Summary Invoice" is not available. What's your recommendation and maybe a quick note on pros/cons would be amazing. Love the channel
Hi cassiy! Just jumping on this POD idea and considering starting a shop BUT I’m in Canada and the currency conversion rate for us is quite high for these POD companies that are set up in the states. I would have to charge $45 including shipping to make some sort of profit because a basic gildan tee on printify costs me $34 and change 😮 I’m just stuck between should I make the shirts myself or go the POD route…can you offer me any advice? Thank you so much for your time ❤
Hi Cassiy. Thank you for this spreadsheet. I do have a question. On one of my postings, I was charging $24.99, but the customer was to be charged for shipping. I decided to raise my price and make shipping free. So I see where I can change the price on the spreadsheet, but how do I add shipping ($4.95) to my expenses?
Hi, Cassiy! New to the channel (started last week) have been watching some random ones . Found this one and purchased the spreadsheet today. Is it possible to save (convert) this to the Excel Desktop version instead of working in Google Docs? I am more familiar with the desktop version of Excel. The Web version at times is a bit quirky. A few months ago I purchased another spreadsheet from another You tuber (I believe they were an accountant), but honestly it was overly complicated and what they were charging for the tutorial was outrageous.ly expensive. Especially for someone that isn't making to much of a profit on Etsy yet (more like losses). Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos. I've been watching other channels for about a year now and I like that you present the topics in a way that we can understand to the point, and are very detailed.
Sorry I don't know how to convert it but I bet you can! I'd google it or look for a UA-cam tutorial and I bet it's not super difficult! So glad my videos have been helpful so far, thanks for watching!
Cassidy, this is such a valuable tool! Purchased mine and have begun filling it out. I do have a question though…the Profit Calculator and the Pricing calculator…if all numbers are the same shouldn’t the profit amount match? I cannot figure out why the two amounts are not matching…any insight you can provide is much appreciated. As always, waiting for your next video 😜
Hmm that's so strange, they match when I am doing it on my end! Maybe double check you are putting in the exact same information on both screens? Maybe make sure you don't have a discount selected on the pricing calculator page on for that line item!
@@CassiyJohnson Thank you...figured it out..on profit calculator, my cost and shipping are one line item, on the other it is separate...Solved! Thank you again for all you do!
Hi Cassiy, I use printify, as you know we pay printify upfront for shipping costs then Etsy pays us later and shipping comes back to us so it is a wash, does the spreadsheet include these calculations already? Do I enter the total production costs including shipping from Printify in the spreadsheet or only the cost of the shirt not including shipping? Thank you so much for creating this spreadsheet, much love :)
Hi Cassiy, is an accountant necessary when selling on Etsy? The way your template is set up it seems like everything is there. Why would we need an accountant? Please share what your accountant helps you with. Thank you. This topic in general is very confusing
I have an accountant to actually file everything correctly. He helps me with how much of my home bills I can write off because it's my home office and things like that. I could probably do it myself but paying someone a few hundred dollars to make sure it's done right, is a better fit for me!
HI Cassiy, Thank you for your inspiration and support and and to all other souls here 🙏 Help ! I am creating my designs and have bought some mock ups and listened to your video re creating mockups on Canva with my designs. BUT please explain HOW to put my design onto the Mock-up. Thank you, do hope someone can kindly advise me please💖
Hi Cassiy! I purchased your income/expense report and it's so helpful, thank you!! I've been selling for over a year and I just now noticed that Etsy collects state sales tax on our behalf with each order. (I don't know how I missed this before!). I've done self-employment taxes for a couple years now so I'm familiar with write-offs for business expenses and such, but how to you calculate the varied state sales tax per sale when it comes to calculating your profits? Thank you in advance!
i had this same question, however its hard to do because you don't know which state you are shipping to- i live in TN and we have the highest sales tax- i did find out though that when i had a customer buy two different items in same transaction there were two different transaction fees the 6.5% and then the processing fee they are basing that on the sale amount + tax and was losing some money- i also turned off my daily deposits because even though im listing to make a profit by the spreadsheet my deposits are being less then what my profit is- so not sure if i need to raise some prices are exactly what - i spend 30 a month in ads so that does come off and then each sale i make etsy is charging .20 to "renew" it because i have multiple quantity and the ones with multi variations they charge .20 on each variation - @cassie do you have any ides or input?
Merch is easier because you get paid just a royalty, there are no other costs! So I just put my income from Merch into the “other income” slots at the bottom of each month!
Your information is great! Where is the link to find out one on one consultation/coaching. I have an Etsy shop not POD but have some specific questions for my unique situation. Thank you!
Thanks for showing this spreadsheet. I will say that for years another seller's spreadsheet has been highly recommended but I never bought it because it didn't seem as tangible. I feel more comfortable buying yours since you walk us through it really well. I know you're POD so I assume you don't do COGS at the end of the year? I'm thinking those will need to be tracked elsewhere and not on this document. Still wrapping my head around it.
No I don't need to do COGS, the cost for the items Is very simple with POD, just shirt cost + shipping. Hope this document can still help you if you are interested in it!
Hi Cassiy, I love your video. I have considered buying the Income/Expense Report. But I wonder if I can change the currency? Since I live in Sweden and we don't have dollars but the Swedish cows instead?
Hey Cassiy - I just purchased your Income / Expense Report, but am getting an error that says, "Sorry, unable to open the file at this time." Is there another way to access this? Thanks for all the valuable info!
Someone might have asked this, but this document is usable for MacBooks too correct? I wasn’t sure if it required a specific program! I LOVE your videos thank you so so much
Great question! This document is just a google sheets document so it will just be in your computer browser! Super simple and can be used on any computer!
Dear Cassiy, my question is that is it usable for sellers outside the US? EU sellers payment fees differ from regular us numbers. Can I set it manually to 4% +0.30 USD for example? Is it working that way? USD is not a problem, but for accurate counting we should be able to change it.
Hi Cassiy quick question about your spreadsheet - do you give it to you accountant to file your taxes or do you give them a copy of all your CVS files? I did my taxes last year and it was a nightmare so I'm having them done this year but I'm not sure what I am supposed to hand over to the accountant. Will your income spreadsheet be sufficient for an accountant like H&R to file my taxes or do I need to give them all my etsy cvs files too. Your spreadsheet looks amazing I'm just not sure how to file my taxes with it and when it comes to taxes I'm not smart! Thank you, I super appreciate your amazing channel and your valuable help! - oh one more question, where in your report do we add refunds so we don't get taxed on them from the IRS at the end of the year? Thanks!
If you were to setup a separate account and credit card for your shop would you still need to keep every single receipt ? I’m not sure how I would keep receipts for canva and other subscriptions? Thank you so much for your content also ! Your the one person I’ve found that is the most helpful with the step by step videos ! I opened my shop but I’ve been nervous about tracking and I’m trying to start off on the right path , I will definitely be buying your spreadsheet btw !
Hi Cassiy, just wanted to thank you so much for sharing all of your experience and knowledge, advice, and tips. Love your videos, and definately will be buying your expense reports. I am in the process of starting a shop and was just curious as to why you chose Etsy instead of Shopify or Wix and would you consider switching or why not. Im so confused with all of the data out there and just overwhelmed. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
The reason I chose Etsy is because Etsy is the one who brings all the customers. It's a lot to learn the business without having to also drive all your own traffic!
Hi Cassiy, me again...so I ended up going with shopify, but I still watch your videos for advice and knowledge. I am an older woman and technologically challenged. I need all the help I can get. I am still interested in your expense report, can I still use it and alter it to my fees instead of the etsy fees?
Thanks for the great video Cassiy. I am from the UK, do you know if this profit calculator will work here or if I need to add something? We need to add the VAT to the calculation.
Should I add a line item for sales tax in the expense/income report? It's taken from our profit on each sale, right? Thank you in advance!
Hi Cassiy, I purchased your income/expense report and am confused. What's the difference between shipping charge and shipping cost? Which one do I use when pricing my product? Thanks!
Sorry for the confusion! The first set of numbers is your "revenue" so this is what you are actually charging on Etsy. So for the shipping charge, you might do $0 and offer "free shipping". But shipping does cost you money, you are just including it in your price, so the second section of pricing is your "cost" so this would be what Printify is charging you to ship the item. Hope I explained that ok!
Hello Cassiy, I'm curious whether your Income/Expense Report tool is solely for Etsy stores in the USA using US Dollars, or if it can also support stores in the EU with European Currencies? Thank you.
So sorry but it is a google sheet document that only uses USD. I believe some sellers have manually adjusted it to other currencies before but you would need to look up how to convert a google sheets document to a different currency yourself
thank you so much for the spreadsheet. it helps . I am still working on the pricing of the tshirts, but this helps for the books and taxes. On the pricing calculator, is that used to show my "favorites" out of the printify catalog? do i each size price or is it ok to just give the lowest and then the highest?
Hi Cassiy, this is so helpful, I was wondering, I set free shipping on etsy, so if I was filling this out, does the printify payment already include the shipping cost in the payment ? Or would I need to add that somewhere else?
It's such a great diagram and you explained it beautifully. I struggled so hard with this. When I downloaded it and check the chart in the dashboard it says I have expenses from printify but I haven't had any from printify but only have expenses from printful. How do I change this to prinful or add a printful tab as I still use both pod providers. Thanks so much.🥰😊
You can change any of the options in there, just change the word from Printify to whatever you like etc. But you have to change it for each month. If it's saying you have expenses for them, I'd just check each month on the chart to see if you accidentally input an amount for Printify on one of those pages!
HI Cassidy! I just purchased this today and it's missing the monthly expenses tab on the bottom. I can't find a contact email or anything on your site so I am not sure how to get ahold of you. Can you please let me know how to get ahold of you? Thanks.
Hi Erin, sorry for the confusion, that tab wasn't working right in totaling up to the YTD pages so I ended up removing it after recording this video. I hope you still love it! Feel free to email me at shiriftiedhustler@gmail.com if you have any additional questions on the document!
Hi Cassiy, I just opened my shop and started uploading listings this week. I'm at my 100 listings now. In your case, how long did you see visits organically? or do you promote your listings? I always check my analytics and I don't get any visits. Thank you so much for being am inspiration!
Congrats on getting started and especially for already having so many listings!! It takes a few weeks for your shirts to start getting sales when you list them most of the time so just be patient. But also keep learning and watching videos because in the beginning usually you need to improve on SEO, Designs or mock-ups. So just slowly keep improving and trying new things until you find something that works! It's definitely a marathon not a sprint. Your first 100 sales will be the hardest but just keep going, you got this!

Hi Cassiy, bought your Income/Expense Report(which is great btw) and trying to fill it in, but my Printify screen does not look like yours at around time stamp 7:00. My current settings are Summary invoices, enabled and Per order invoices, disabled...What do you recommend? Also, do you put only your sample/customer order totals from Printify under the Expenses section and the do you put Printify Premium subscription price under Misc Expenses?
So glad you are loving it so far! Sorry screens are always changing. You should go to Wallet > Payments > Summary Invoices and then that total on the right is the number you want to use. This number even includes your Printify premium costs so you don't have to include that somewhere else actually! This number should include everything you purchased on Printify that month but if something seems off, I would recommend reaching out to Printify customer support.
Thank you for being so transparent! You’re a pretty awesome lady!

You Rock!
Oh my goodness! So glad I found this video! I'm still watching it but I can tell already that your income expense sheet is what I need! Thank you!!
Wow. This was surprisingly easy to figure out with the document. Thanks for creating it!
You are so welcome Lauren! I am so glad this was helpful for you
Thank you Cassiy for the Income/Expense Report. Was patiently waiting for it.
Hope you love it!!
Thank you so much for this! I purchased the spreadsheet yeasterday and I am looking forward to getting the time to sit down and figure out how to use it. Spreadsheets are something else relatively new to me so I am so thankful to have this video to walk me through it!
You're welcome, Kim!!
I hope. Lol

@@insightfactory_app Hello! I don't see any emails from you, maybe you typed it in wrong? Make sure to send it to stopmockandroll@gmail.com
You might say something like "When your monthly sales revenue reaches ($X), consider paying for this "discount" on Printify, because that will....save you....($Y) per shirt/month..."
In addition, there may be other "subscriptions" or paid services that make sense at some sales levels (monthly sales volume). I don't know of them yet, but it appears you are making use of volume. :)
My point?
How is your store doing now? I just opened mine, I’m wondering how long or how many listings does it take to make consistent sales
Peace and love fellow trader Love the strategy!!!! Keep kicking that good ol knowledge!!!!🍊

@@CassiyJohnson so I deleted all my profiles for shipping out of my etsy account and then tried to make new profile shipping labels. But when I went back to printify they all said unpublished.

Hello Cassiy, I have questions:
5:22 Can I add more rows to the 'Expenses' section (Printful, Printify, Gelato, etc.), the 'Miscellaneous Expenses' section, and the 'Other Incomes' section?
8:32 Can I add more rows to the 'Recurring Monthly Expenses' section? Are all sections limited to the number of rows currently available? Thanks

Thank you for making this video and spreadsheet. I started in July 2022-December 2022 and realized that I came out negative $473 😢
Sorry to hear that but at least now you know you need to raise your prices and then you will stop losing money
Just got mine and it is awesome!!!! It would have taken me hours to make one of these although I am going ot still learn to use Google Sheets!

Thanks for the feedback!
Great document! Can this be adapted for a Shopify store, specifically the chart that calculates Etsy taxes?
Hi Cassiy I’m in Australia I think your accounting program will work for me but just wanted to check with you. Thanks Lynne
Where would I put my YEARLY subscriptions? THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS!
I would just add them as an expense on the month that the money came out for the yearly expense! Printify premium though gets included on your printify statement for that month just as a heads up!
@@CassiyJohnson THANK YOU!!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hi Cassiy, how can we keep track of listing fees of new items when doing bookkeeping?
The listing fees will be included on your finances page of Etsy when they tell you the total amount of Etsy fees you paid that month!
Thank you Cassiy, can I use this spreadsheet if I'm based in the UK
Thank you for all of these informative videos! You have inspired me to create my own POD shop! Thank you again!
One question, do you run an Instagram page/social media platform for your shop? I might have missed a video going over this, so I apologize if I did!
Hi Betsy! So glad you have been enjoying my videos
Thank you Cassiy, can I use this spreadsheet based in the UK?
I don't see the shipping fees though, are they included in the cost? Thank you very good and specific advise.
So glad my videos have been helpful so far, thanks for watching!
hi Cassiy, do we need to track each purchase from printify in bookkeeping or only the monthly total?
Hi Cassiy,
Is there a way to purchase your income/expense report other than through paypal? Thank you!
No so sorry PayPal is my only payment method I offer, I hope that can end up working for you!
Hi, love your channel! I purchased the income & expense report but it wasn’t blank… do I just go in & erase ?
Yes sorry about that just edit the couple spots on January to clear it out and then you should be all set, hope you love it!

Thanks Cassiy this is awesome. If you don't mind, how would you track Amazon Merch into this? Sorry if this is a little off Etsy's topic ☺️💕
Merch is easier because you get paid just a royalty, there are no other costs! So I just put my income from Merch into the “other income” slots at the bottom of each month!

Very helpful!!!!!
Hi Cassiy, I love your video. I have considered buying the Income/Expense Report. But I wonder if I can change the currency? Since I live in Sweden and we don't have dollars but the Swedish cows instead?
So sorry I have no idea how to change the currency in Google docs, I'd google it and see if it's possible.
Hey Cassiy - I just purchased your Income / Expense Report, but am getting an error that says, "Sorry, unable to open the file at this time." Is there another way to access this? Thanks for all the valuable info!
Sorry for the late message, I hope you got this figured out but if not then email me at shirtifiedhustler@gmail.com and I’m happy to help!
Amazing! Question if you were to add a row/cell to any of the categories etc, will the formulas still work?
You would need to fix the formulas if you add columns but it would be pretty easy to do, I would just look up a tutorial on google sheets on YT!
Hi Cassiy, when it comes to taxes do you need to provide all the transactions (sales) or do you only need to provide totals for each month?
It just takes your yearly totals, Etsy will send you a 1099 that has all of the information the government is looking for!
Someone might have asked this, but this document is usable for MacBooks too correct? I wasn’t sure if it required a specific program! I LOVE your videos thank you so so much
Great question! This document is just a google sheets document so it will just be in your computer browser! Super simple and can be used on any computer!
@@CassiyJohnson great, thank you so much!
Hi Cassiy..love your vids. Question..What if we sell mostly pod, but other things as well...would this still work for us?
I don't keep every single receipt personally but I'd recommend finding a good CPA or Accountant that can walk you through what is best for you!
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Very helpful information. Hoepe you are well and have a great day!
So sorry but the doc does not have VAT and is only in USD
Hi Cassiy, are listing fees total enough for bookkeeping? Or would you track each listing fee with date and amount?
Just totals are what you need!
Should I add a line item for sales tax in the expense/income report? It's taken from our profit on each sale, right? Thank you in advance!
The sales tax gets paid by the customer and does not come out of your profits! Etsy takes care of all of that for you!
@@CassiyJohnson Ohh okay interesting. Thank you!!
I can modify it to suit my needs if the sheet I'll download after purchasing is not locked and I'll be able to access all its formulas.
thank you so much for the spreadsheet.
I'm so glad this has been helpful for you, Nicole! Yes - when Printify charges you for the product it includes shipping. :)
Now that Etsy offers a discount on selling fees with their 'save and share' program, how can we account for that?
Your first 100 sales will be the hardest but just keep going, you got this!
wow thank you so much Cassiy! You're the one Etsy guru that made me confident doing this. I have waited for a long time gathering info and yours is the one i trust. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@carminabautista2002 LOL I am still getting used to being called an Etsy guru! Just think, only 2 short years from now and you could have quit your job, have multiple side hustles making you money and be teaching other people how to do the same thing!! I'm so glad my messages have resonated with you and I hope I have given you the confidence to know that you CAN do this! You CAN do the hard things and you CAN change your life forever from the comfort of your own home !
Wow !! Follow you from life hacker :) And your content is superb. Thank you ❤️
Hey welcome to the channel fellow Life Hacker Fan! So glad you are liking my channel too
Hi Cassiy, bought your Income/Expense Report(which is great btw) and trying to fill it in, but my Printify screen does not look like yours at around time stamp 7:00.
