Amen to that! Lean bulking all the way. Slow and steady gains with a focus on increasing strength. That's the best way, imo.

Glad you bought back AMM Derek! I wouldn't ever worry about things getting repetitive, people tune in to see you do your thing. A lot of UA-cam channels are somewhat repetitive but people find comfort in that. Love your videos man keep it up! 😊

I like this kind of videos, in which you don't only give spesific info about recipes or diet or other stuff, but you also make it more interesting by showing something which would probably be interesting for someone to see or do or it would make someone's day. But you are also doing this professionaly, so I guess it comes down to what most people are interested in, longer or shorter videos. And based on the fact that most people are busy, short videos seem to "work" more efficiently. At least, do a more interesting long video(like that) from time to time! Thanks for the info and the stroll in those nice places in Canada!

Hey! Love the AMMs...also don’t mind the longer videos as well! I typically watch them when doing cardio, much better than trash tv shows. Just my perspective :)
I prefer the longer videos:) I always watch them sort of in the background while I'm cooking or doing stuff around the house!

Regarding Clensing & detoxing, I did it once. ONCE. when I transitioned from a meat & dairy harming diet to a plant based diet. I cut out alcohol & caffine, and loaded up on superfood smoothies. I intended for it to be a weeks worth, but I kept a lot of the good habits long term, such as drinking decaff coffee most of the time, and cutting down on alcohol a lot compared to my former self.
Please do a fermented cabbage recipe. . Please please please

I love your work and recommend your work to others. I'm not a vegan but still, I love your great advice. I have to correct you on the sugar point. Sugar is sugar. The question is how is it absorbed and how is it packed. Highly refined sugar is about removing the fiber content so the sugar is absorbed rapidly versus eating whole fruit where in most cases the sugar is absorbed more slowly, is paired with beneficial nutrients and generally fruit just less sugar/calorie dense. Yes, there is some difference in the chemical structure of sugars, but the effect of the class is remarkable similar. I love your work.

I love these nature walks while you chat about health and nutrition. I think 30 minutes isn't a bad length. Anything longer does get long to sit and watch probably for some.
You live in an absolutely beautiful area of Canada. I need to come back to the island and vacation there sometime. Distractions that are nature related are always welcome. Your love of all things nature is really wonderful!

I have type 2 diabetes .THATS WHY IM VEGAN NOW. Woke up one day , short breath , sweating, very weak, passing in and out. Went to emergency room , doctor said “if you don’t start to eat healthy you will not live to see 48” .
That’s why I’m vegan!!!! I was 28 when this happened. Now I feel like I have been given a second chance in LIFE!!!!!

i do the same thing as you for my breakfast! i usually work out around 8 or 9, get home and eat at around noon. i feel really great doing this too. this is something people should try, because i find that i dont snack much throughout the day, i am focussed and not hungry. unfortunately, i can only live this way during the summer. since i am a student (waking up late, eating late etc).

I like the longer videos. I love the bink bink bonk. I usually like to put these longer videos in while I am at the gym or walking. Motivates me to get off my ass if I have something good to listen to. The same music daily gets monotonous.

Totally keen on half hour videos. I do enjoy shorter videos, but it’s nice to have a longer format every so often.
I like this channel. I like the delivery, I like that it's not all quickbits and I like the fact that there is vegan information without being fanatical.
I'm trying to move more towards being mainly vegetarian with part time carnivore activities. Where meat/dairy is consumed, it will be high welfare, organic and absolutely not intensely farmed. I can't see a future where I'm vegan, but I don't think we all have to be.
Anyway, in terms of diets mentioned in this video I agree that diet phases are not optimal. I don't like the idea of bulking/cutting or tox/detox (wait...tox?!). Eating as much plant food as possible, not eating processed crap and not supporting bad farming practices is the way forward for everybody whether they choose to be vegan or not. I find fasting to be a very beneficial for my health and wellbeing, and not hard to do at all after a couple of weeks.

Hey Derek, glad to see these back :) have you tried changing your camera's focus area from wide to spot? I think it would help with vlogging cause you're in the middle of the screen most of the time and thus wouldn't be blurry sometimes :)

Thanks Derek for bringing AMM back! For the last two years I did IF. Now 1 month with food in my stomach early in the morning , I have more energy through the day! Also my workout are go beter!! I take the Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie from Medical Medium and the celery juice! I think it’s good for me as firefighter to get rid of all the not so good smoke and fabrics!

I’m doing a bachelor of nutrition at university in Australia and more often and not the course is distributing false information about animal products and health. For example today was eggs are healthy and don’t raise serum cholesterol and so on. Have you experienced this? And how do I deal with it. I’m vegan myself by the way and I just get so triggered.
