Good job, Derek and Errie acres!
As usual, your tutorials are so very creative and practical. I had not considered a drawer slide for a vertical or horizontal movement mechanism. Always a pleasure seeing your new ideas on UA-cam.
I can't believe I've never thought of a drawer slider for pop ups before! This is genius!
That’s what I use. Plus, mine are pneumatic and the force on the slides is a bit more and they hold up well.
I used aluminum bar stock and it always has a tendency to pop out of the rollers. Needed to build a few more of these guys, trying the method next
@@jbponzi1pnuematic? Is it faster??
@@markweir2343 yes. The Ghoul Friends pop up fast and then slowly retract.
Take a look at videos of those in the Mansion. Sadly, I can’t post photos of my builds here and am not interested in video production.
Ok . . . This is a great build!!
You never fail to impress! I love learning all these great skills from you, your talent and ability to teach makes this channel so much fun to watch!
Thank you!
Pretty cool
This seems so simple. You make everything look easy! Dare I say that I'm motivated to go build something???
I like it really clean and moves great. I am working on a 3 way popup for a tombstone of 3 stooges. one up and 2 sideways.
I'm wondering if something like a solenoid could work as an actuator for a quick poo-up jump scare prop.
Possibly, but I can't say for certain.
I was going to look around for a way to make it pop up quicker like on yhe haunted mansion ride, but i think that's air driven.
That's correct
What step bit do you recommend? Sizes and prices seen to vary pretty wildly.
I bought an inexpensive set of 5 that way I have a bit for every potential application. There's a link in the video description.
Using a ball bearing drawer slide for this is a brilliant idea! Thanks for this tutorial.
You bet!
Great build as usual!!! Thanks so much for the shout out!!! Im embarrassed to say out of all the things I've used the draw slide for doing a pop up never occurred to me! Great idea!!
Thanks for the idea!
This is awesome! Thank you for being such an inspiration. 😊
Thanks for watching!
Barring your original pop up, what unique variants on this have you seen?
This version is probably the most unique. The others just use different bar mechanisms.
what is the part number of motor?
Everything is linked in the video description
That turned out wicked cool!!!
Another great prop.
I love those eyes!
Nice🎉
:)
That's a great idea nicely done
Thank you!
You're brilliant !!
Thank you! 😃
