    Hi Ian here from Cape Town, Love the videos. One question as a busy person is what do people in van life who don't work full remote jobs all day do to keep busy? Or does most of the community work all the time remotely between exploring? Love and peace

    You Could Have Rented A Small Lot, Cheaper Than An Apartment And Make The Bus Your Stationary Home And As PRN Travel Vehicle Then Have That 2022 Tacoma With The Fleet As Your Main/Primary Travel Vehicle. Driving And Parking A Big Vehicle Like The Bus Is Already Exhausting :)). It's Like You're Always Bringing The MOTHERSHIP Of All Small U.F.O's :)). But That 2022 Tacoma W/ Fleet Was Your Best Decision. The Main Purpose Of A Compact MotorHome Or A Camper Is To Have A Good Place To Sleep Then All The Other Things, Enjoy Them Outdoors. ........Yes, Easy Driving & Easy Parking Is Very Important.

    Hi guys! I don't think I've commented before - I guess my husband and I have been stealth watchers of your channel:)
    Anyways, I completely understand your decision. You have to do what's right for you. We have a 4 window bus that we use to travel and camp. We also have a home and I think we will always have a home base. I think if we lived in our bus fulltime it would take away some of the fun. We've always enjoyed camping and hiking and I still love sleeping in a tent too even though we can sleep in the bus as well. But, it's always nice to get back home too. It's really the best of both worlds. I"m happy for you guys and I was really happy to see this video come out. We were worried what happened to you both. So glad your still together and have a new plan of fun! Look forward to seeing your camper shell and what you do with it. Take care of yourselves and Happy Holidays!

      Lynette thanks for your comment! Yes ultimately we had to do what’s right for us right now. Having a home base is so nice and we’re looking forward to having the best of both worlds. It was a bit much not having anywhere to park where we could fully let our guard down. Eric and I are still going strong ♥️ much love and happy new year!

    Life has its highs and lows, and it's about evolving to flow with it rather than against the best you can. It sounds like you've learnt a lot from your experiences. So happy for you guys and the new path you are on. Christmas blessings to you both xox

    Love your down to earth honesty. I can definitely see that a more dependable truck camper could be a real stress reliver. Once you have trouble it is white knuckles from there on. Not fun. love your spirit a glad the experience did no last harm to your relationship.

    It wouldn't bother me to stay in same location and not pay rent. 😂 I'd be fine if I can park in someone's driveway. 🎉

    “Knock” in the night is pretty common in car / bus life. Many older single American live in car / van because they can’t afford high cost of rent let alone buy a home. Thank you for sharing your van life story and its up and down.

      Thanks Jerry! Appreciate it! High cost of rent these days is terrible. We were lucky because we wanted to try this lifestyle and explore, this gave us the opportunity. However, it's infuriating seeing the cost of rent these days. Private companies are buying up single family homes, the cost of living is way too high for the average person.

    You guys are super inspiring. So inspiring, that I mentioned it in our road trip video, and added a card link to your Highway 1 part 1/3 vid. It really helped us find a spot to overnight by Pismo. You all are living your fullest, and it's tough dealing with collecting fresh water, and dumping gray water, etc. Focus on the fun bits, and don't worry if the audience doesn't feel like it's genuine. They're all watching from the comforts of their homes, anyways.

      @bonafideoutside  Рік тому

      Oh thank you! We will have to check that video out. And yeah very true, people don’t really understand what it’s like until you’re doing it. Did you stay at the same spot at Pismo?

    We cancelled the bus life early, moved into the full time camper life and now a year later we bought an old abandoned church we are converting into our home… I get where you are!

    Great seeing your videos again. It would be awesome if you two made a video with tips and tricks for buslife. Stuff like where to camp. What is allowed and what is not allowed. Basically fir people who want to try it out. People like me who don’t want to live full time in a bus but are building a bus for weekend trips who already have a home, just into it for weekend adventures.
