    Before the new engine oil, you can add some cheap oil of same grade and run engine for few seconds so that it can stick the setled flush oil from bottom and then add the bew oil..

    I'd say treat the flushing with care as it might clog your oil galleries with deposits. In that case more harm done than good. Basis of a good engine life consists of frequent oil change interval, authentic oil and oil filter plus fuel treatment as it also acts as a solvent inside the combustion chamber.

    Great video, your DIYs are on point and very helpful. I own a fzs v2 and ride it very less approx 1200-1500kms a year. The oil change interval recommended by manufacturer is around 2500-3000km so I change my engine oil at an interval of 1.5-2 years but I always keep an eye that it does not get low. Does engine oil degrade over time or is it ok to just change at manufacturer recommended kms irrespective of time.

      @thesportztourer  6 років тому +5

      The oil base is different on both these oils so a detailed comparison will be interesting, what say?
      After using the 300V 10W-40 on the RTR 200 (I hope you have seen the Rajasthan ride series) we were tempted to try the 300V 15W-50 on the Dominar but we were concerned about changing the winter grade. My experience with Liqui Moly on my car was great so thought of giving it a try and the most important it was available in 10W50 fully synthetic grade so went for it (expensive than the 300V). For now the experience is good if not better then at least it's on par with the 7100 10W50, let's see how it performs on long term 😊

      No its not for new vehicles. For old vehicles might hurt because all the sludge and gunk which is preventing the oil to leak might break down with the engine flush. And your old vehicle will come out a white smoke from oil leak. And also depends on the engine flush you use. If you use cheap product of course it will hurt your engine.

But being plastic, how will it be affected?

      If we cover a wet bike the water inside gets trapped and can cause rust formation, condensation inside headlights, speedo, indicators etc.

    Flushing is no doubt good once in 25-30k km but how do we get rid of the residual flush sitting inside the engine as we cannot drain the engine oil completely?
    Though my engine has 2 litres oil capacity, replacement is 1.75 litres... That 250 ml is still old and mixed with this flush.... Can this cause any issues with the engine component?

    After engine flush it is mendatory to stroke it again with mineral or semi synthetic oil bcoz engine flush liquid removes the zink coating which is applied earlier by strokint the engine which prevents the engine metals to teardown and make the engine smooth

    Hello Sir , I want to say you one thing you forget to do is that ,adding some engine oil in new oil filter.You directly put new dry oil filter inside the engine .

    • @thesportztourer
      @thesportztourer  6 років тому +2

      Yes, theoretically soaking the filter in new engine oil is a part of the process alternatively one can let the motorcycle idle for a minute after the oil change to circulate the oil through the new filter 😊

    • @NMad-kp2bu

      @@thesportztourer I change at 2000 km interval

    • @thesportztourer
      @thesportztourer  6 років тому +1

      Then you can go for engine flush. 2000km drain interval must have kept your engine clean from sludge build up, still 8 years is a long time so flushing the engine can be a good practice. Make sure you follow the steps and procedure as shown in the video (ex: don't accelerate the engine when running with flush).
