    Thank you. This upside down drain makes a perfect low cost first flush diverter, for a larger water tank. You would locate an overflow flush outlet at some point between 1/2 and 3/4 the way up.

    This is perfect for living in an A Frame house. With the roof being what it is, you can't get a rain barrel under it since it goes almost to the ground. I need something that will go in back that will catch rain. Plus it's a rental so I can't do anything to the place. Thanks for this video.

      I have two of them under a clear plastic cover that goes between my cabin and outside kitchen. Its 180 litres total and for my rainfall/ usage it lasts perfectly and tastes great!

    I have a copper rain chain. Works good for directing the water and looks cool when it freezes in the winter 🥶

    Question if there is a nuclear war, then your outside rain water is not drinkable. Is there a way to filter this?

      How about a tube added on top going to another bucket for overflow.When it overflows it could push it in other bucket 👀Just my thoughts 😁

      any tap you like! can be a faucet or a valve - whatever you like. and you drill a hole, with a drill. or heat up a piece of metal pipe and melt it through

      Looks like he just flipped the lid upside down and cut the plastic with a grinder lol

      none whatsoever! that's what the watering can rose is for- to keep things out. Ive been using this system now for about 18 yaers

    Can rainwater contain pests that will be harmful to plants like spider mite, aphids from outside? I’m planning to use it within 2 weeks

      Can be a mosqioto breeding ground and other insekt graveyard. Use a nylon mesh over the Lid (completli or just the openings) and you are good to go. Fixate the mesh so that there ere no places to crawl or fl in for the animals and it does not fly away (silikon or hot glue should work)
